I’ve made this recipe in the past and remembered something. I put it in a squeeze bottle for ease of use. Well, one day I discovered it was WET under the bottle. I discovered that I caused the concoction to fizz when I shook it to use, and it built up pressure inside. That pressure caused it to seep out from under the lid of the bottle. Thankfully it didn’t explode in my face! Now I loosen the lid when not in use to give that pressure somewhere to go. Recipe works well on my laundry.

I’ve used this on the bathtub, no peroxide but vinegar which is all warmed up. Any soap scum comes off easily. No scrubbing!!

Verrry tough stain on my WHITE Merry Christmas shirt and tried some remedies I found on UA-cam . They like you call for Dawn dishwashing detergent but so far used liquid Gain laundry detergent . That's the only common ingredient of all these renmedies I haven't tried so far ,,

Yes I do! But always test and use at your own risk. I’ve got some soaking on a stain on blue jeans now. It’s my daughter’s recipe and she has never had a problem with it. But make sure and test. Thx for watching.

If you use it on something white. Will the blue color from the dawn transfer to the white garment?

Will it bleach clothes if left on too long. I thought peroxide would discolor clothes
That's what I was wondering too cuz peroxide n baking soda can be used together for teeth whitening.

Blue Dawn is honestly the best thing that can be used. Not sure why, but the formula is good for flees, oils, pretty much everything. I think it may be concentrated. You can use other dish liquids, but this is why blue Dawn is the go to.
I think it’s just the marketing. I think even fairy/Palmolive dish liquid would work.
detergent
Any concentrated liquid DISH washing up soap should work. Dawn brand is particularly known for cleaning oil and grease well. In the 1980's, environmentalists used Dawn to decontaminate animals caught in the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Disaster, giving Dawn a lot of good press. Now, any modern brand should be comparable.
Use a concentrate because based on viscosity, OP used "Dawn Ultra" (a concentrate).
If you can't find a concentrate, just change the formula to:
1 part Sodium Bicarbonate (AKA Baking SODA)
2 parts Liquid Dish Soap
2 parts Hydrogen Peroxide (3%)
OP's measurements weren't super precise, so the slight increase to water content shouldn't really affect its potency.
