The Romans understood the danger of treason! This is attributed to the Roman Jurist CICERO over 2000 years ago :
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared."

People aiding the enemy is treason and many countries have the death penalty for this including the USA, so no it is a very serious crime and won't be taken easy.
Too late. They are way beyond NKVD. Most Ukrainians are ethnic brothers/sisters to Russia. No one wants this war except Zelensky and his Western American handlers. I'm an American BTW. I see this. Everyone with eyes half open can see this. It's F___ing terrible.
Ukraine is one of the worst and oppressive governments in Europe
Those are most dangerous ones. They can do great harm to their own country.
@SCPython im very worry with this video. I support Ukraine in this imvasion but o know there are russians in ukraine and they have their own opinion. Frredom of speech is neccessary for a democracy. I know they are at war but the limit is very thin. Ukrainian-russian peoole have also their rigths to exist.

Well this is a bad look. To actively collaborate with the enemy is one thing. To post support on social media is another. Imagine if everyone who didn't support Bush and the Iraq war had their doors kicked in so that the military could look for evidence of "treason."
He wasn't arrested for his social media. He was arrested because he collaborated with the Russians and placed Ukrainians in danger.
I think there's a difference of criticising a nation in peacetime and at least morally supporting the enemy during times of war.
A bit difficult to compare it to wars America has fought thousands of miles from its soil. It’s different when the war is happening on your soil and your entire nations very existence is on the line and you have people posting enemy propaganda online. In those circumstances propaganda is a part of war so there is merit to checking what this guy is up to. I just hope they treat him humanely.

Martial law, even in the US, has always been like that.
@@helloman1051 look, when a country is being invaded, it is generally considered a treason when someone supports the invaders. It's common sense. That's because anyone who supports the invader even verbally is a potential traitor who might physically help the enemy when they advance. Just like how they did to the people of Donbas. 8 years ago until this war started.
What do you think would happen to people supporting Germany or Japan in WW2? Of course they would be arrested. This is a war, not a garden walk.
The whole "Ukraine mistreated the people of Donbas" propaganda line is extremely cynical coming from Russia, a country that has kept the Donbas poor and dreary for the last 8 years and been the main actor in all instances of escalation along the contact line.
