    I don’t even make soap, I just love watching you pour. It looks so creamy coming out of the basin, and you almost never spill. It’s so satisfying!

    I LOVE it that you don't talk us to death like some do. I'm here to watch you make it, not listen to your kids whining, your dog barking or your personal business and senseless chatter. It's relaxing. Thank you!

    You always pick the right colour to go with the fragrance, the swirls in your soaps are so pretty and the music is always spot on for your videos.

    Great color combination - love the natural uncolored in this instead of a stark white.

    They came out so lovely! Also I don't know if it was meant to be a pun but I definitely giggled at the 'clean up' the soap part of the video.

      Yes I do get ash. I use 99% alcohol, do a water discount, cover and gel my slab molds and if I still get ash I’ll steam the tops :)

    I'm curious, when you say tobacco, do you mean the leaf, or the flower of the plant itself? I've heard the flower smell is really pleasant, but the scent from the leaf is certainly more recognizable.

      I use such a steep water discount I do not discount any extra for the coconut cream.

      @@OpheliasSoapery have u always used the water discount, I am teaching myself to use the ratio method (always learning with soap) I have learned so much from watching you.. do u uses a 1:1 ratio then as they say that is the lowest to go right? I have never done a discount of less then a 25% water discount to lye. I'm always afraid it will accelerate my batch.. end with soap on a stick 😉

    What is the difference in methods with room temp lye and hot?

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  3 роки тому +1

      Room temperature soaping is when you let all your oils and lye cool down first to room temperature then you can soap. It helps keeping the batter fluid.
      Then there is the heat transfer method in which you use your hot lye solution to melt the oils. This method is a little warmer after it’s all melted. But it works great too. It’s just preference.
