Schmiechel low key just said he won the Euros without even training.
Hhahaha
He’s one of the best goalkeepers ever imo.Oh and Peter schmeichel is also decent I guess.
(I’m kidding guys, both father and son are legends for their respective clubs)
@@nobody7708 he IS Peter and his son is KASPER
@@mottykytu i was just making a joke...
During the Euro's 92 that danish team one time went to play mini-golf instead of the planned training, another time on their way they stopped at a McDonalds for dinner. After beating The Netherlands in the semifinal, their wifes and girlsfriends were lodged with the players.
The timing of sky sports retro remains impeccable
Tard, life must have been really rubbish
One of the few legends who’s son is a legend too! 🤯
peter schmichel was the best goal keeper of all the time maybe after lev yashin ,i love casper, but do you think he is in his father level?
@@masoud631 you don't need to be one of the best of all time to be a legend
@@masoud631 he doesn't have to be as good as his father to be a good keeper or a legend for his club, which he already is. So yea.
@@masoud631 Peter is obviously the better keeper! However Kasper is a Leicester and prem legend!
A Leicester City legend. 💙🦊
A truly remarkable achievement!!
I just watched Sommeren' 92 (Summer of 92) on Netflix which of course is about Euro 92. Highly recommend watching it.
Cheers, will give it a look
Thanks for sharing..will watch it..
Does it mention all the back passing they did?
He won a euro , that’s unreal
His son will be difficult to score past. Showed that in the FA Cup Final. England must be aware.
Kane has also scored against kasper the most in his career :)
@@StephenCarrIsBald true but this is the international stage, we might not know what will happen on Wednesday. But I pray for England to win and bring it home.
There's more chance of Madeline McCann coming home
@@jockmackay9582 😂
@@jockmackay9582 😂😂
i just hope both teams will have fun
and they won it even without their best player at that time MICHAEL LAUDRUP.
Yeah, why was that? Because I remember him being at Mexico '86 and France '98.
Maybe in history
@@guillezorro he fell out with the manager!Gutted 🤦🏼♂️
@@tombutler6451 He was on holiday and did not want to change his plans as he thought they would not even make out of the group.
@@jameswabwire1931 yes you’re right but he had fallen out with the manager after the qualifying campaign & might not have been picked!Either way it must be one of the biggest regrets of his life ☹️
It’s coming home 🇩🇰
I'm not sure Denmark is the home of football...
@@liamrlord it will be soon
@@liamrlord football is the home of all countries itself 😹
yes it is 🏴
@@niallroche803 Still doesn't change the fact that England is the home of football as it introduced football to the world
0:39 Do they really have to mention how many goals he scored 😂😂
Yes
Well as a goalkeeper it just makes him more awesome. It would have been a bit embarassing as a striker.
Who the hell did he score against for Denmark? 🤔
He scored a penalty in a friendly vs Belgium played in the year 2000.
@@realist1641 decent knowledge
@@realist1641 a gooner having knowledge in something that’s not related to arsenal?Impossible,I must be dreaming.
Just some friendly banter,lol.
@@nobody7708 😹😹
I think this tournament should be studied, it shows that often teams over prepare for tournaments and ending up stressing and tiring the players out, whereas going into a tournament with little preparation and no expectation can do wonders
The timing
I might be somewhat biased, because I am danish and it was the summer of my life, but... never ever have I seen a goalkeeper playing 90 minutes on the level Schmeichel did in that final in 1992. Germanys XG, had it been a thing back then, must have been like 4.0! INCREDIBLE performance by Schmeichel, who pulled out at least a handful of magic saves on absolute sitters during that game.
Denmark played with passion and spirit in this tournament, and they defeated France, the reigning european champions of Holland, and the reigning world cup champions of Germany on the way to the trophy. No easy feat!
@Greenfields 12 Van Basten was doing a bit better then in 88, he was more involved in the game to save it for the final and he was not injured by this point.
@Greenfields 12 yes, more involved in the game in a lesser role as a striker
@Greenfields 12 can you blame Van Basten ?
Many Danish players were still playing in The Danish League just up to the Euros. So no beach party for them.
Back when yugoslavia were a team
And a bloody good one too. I think they were many people's favourite for the tournament
@@guillezorro mad
Just imagine the team they would have these days… Dzeko, Jovic, tadic, modric, Matic, peresic, pjanic, oblak … that’s a beastly team!
Yugoslavia today: Oblak, Skriniar, Modric, Brozovic, Pjanic, Kovacic, Dzeko, Savic, Milenkovic, Milinkovic-Savic, perisic, Vlahovic, Tadic, Jovic, Vrsaljko,
Thing is, their talent nearly all seemed to come from the smallish area of Yugoslavia called Croatia! Even now they punch well above their weight.
Maybe that's the formula of winning things, go to the beach instead of preparation
and play mini-golf instead of the planned training, have dinner at McDonalds and let the wives and girlsfriends sleep over with the players.
An interesting mix of a half Danish accent with a half English accent.
Watch out for Denmark in the future.
Laudrup wasn’t playing either
Brian Laudrup played at Euro 1992, not Michael
@@RafsanS15 He was clearly talking about Michael

Come on you Danes!!!
England haven't conceded a goal and Denmark aren't great going forward. On paper this should be easy but Denmarks unity and workrate could prove tricky.
Denmark have had the third most shots next to Italy and Spain. They're also the 3rd highest goalscorers at the Euros
Aren't good at going forward? How do you explain that Denmark has scored 11 goals in this tournament and England 6?
@@oliverboisen7475 true. It's gonna be a good game. 🇩🇰🤝🏴
@@nicolaiafrosenborg7411 they haven't beat anyone good though. 4 past Russia and 4 past 10 men Wales. They were beaten by finland ffs haha. Anything is possible in knockout football but this is England's game to lose.
@@TheKingofhighbury they lost to Finland when they were still in shock because of Eriksen's situation, and also missed a lot of good chances in the fist half. Then were all over Belgium in the first half but when De Bruyne came on he put on a great performance to win the game for Belgium.
His son will repeat it inshallah.
How they won it was a disgrace to football 😅😂
Denmark took somethnig, don't belong to them. Training secretly, hoping that Yugoslavia will be out, althou lost qualifications easily. Now, they lose even they are better, luck is always on opponent side. Pitty for new Dane generation which deserves trophies, but cant get them because of 92 generation, that didnt deserve to go to EURO.
Denmark play 5 defenders
No chance they'll score a goal
England win easy
Denmark play 3 at the back with 2 wingbacks, which is understandable when they are not stacked in multiple positions. On the other hand England are stacked, yet they still play with 4 at the back with 2 DM’s for cover. Easy win? No tight game, yes. Denmark win? Yes.
England did the same to Germany
