Hi , glad you guys had a good time. Looked like a good trip. I’m looking at sat nav solutions for my XR, what sat nav did you use as I’ve not heard good things about the Nav 6 and did you have any issues.
I have the Nav 5 and to be honest ive had no issues with it. That being said tho, i still prefer to use my phone. The up side a dedicated sat nav has over my phone is you can loose internet on my phone, a sat nav is abit more reliable.
Hi, alternatively, you can check bmw connected ride cradle as it's both wirelessly charging up your phone, it have great bmw maps, showing all required bike data(leaning angle, remaining fuel etc.) and it's also controllable by the bikes controller.
😮 really!! Thats horrendous information! The XR was the perfect bike to do the trip on for me, comfortable enough to get there and like having a sports bike to enjoy the roads on! 15000miles in a year on it, been all over the UK on it and still feels like a brand new bike.
@@lifeonmarshmoto I thought so too, I’m looking into one next year since I can tour and do track days on one. Can’t ride sportsbikes probably now since a car has given me a metal plate and nerve damage, just looking at what to get and reviews while I’m recovering :)
Great video. Good to see you guys enjoying yourselves. stay safe👍
I`m on the verge of getting my bike out and going back there mate! Hope our next trip is as good!
Id love to go back, maybe higher up to explore more of the highlands.

I got told by bmw in preston a XR wouldn’t handle a trip around Scotland since the sports suspension etc , knew it was bollocks
