They took inspiration from Ghost of tsushima & breath of the wild for the environment and enemies as the enemies in Ghost cower after they witness Jin kill (not sure about BOTW in terms of enemies cowering though haven't played that game)
Looks awesome and the combat looks fluid for sure! Would love it if the curses would feel more menacing, e.g. kind of shouting the spell louder, having some echo etc. Especially with the Avada Kedavra...couldn't hear the words being spoken there 🥲
There’s a lot of things that could be improved sound-wise in this game.. some of the spells sounds like laser beams lol. Especially the basic spell which has pretty much no cooldown, and that’d be a major issue if the most frequently used spell sounds annoying and/or out of place

Every game has passive enemies, even the Souls series, the Arkham series is one of the greatest game franchises ever made...Enemies are a "tad" passive. This isn't some old PC game wherein enemies have infinite frames and unlimited stamina smh.
Hopefully we can use these unforgivable curses in the story and they have actual implications. Im worried these will just turn into "arena only minigames" spells.

You are able to fly on free roam, brooms have limitations on how long you can remain high above the ground, but mounts like hypogryphs and thestrals don't seem to have that limitation. The reasoning for the broom limitation is to have the players explore more of the map, while in universe it's because broom technology isn't as developed in the 1800s unlike what we see in the books and films.
I’m not a fan of Harry Potter but I’m so happy for this game and if this does super well then this should have a positive impact on other games based on novels and shows. One piece please
Combat looks great for how much magic there is. I’ve always wanted an rpg where you can fully customize magical and physical skills and spells along with full customization of fantastical race and fighting style. This shows were getting closer to the ultimate rpg

They have 20 plus spells. And you can equip 16 of those spells that any given time. And switch between them rapidly with a d-pad buttons. Watch the first gameplay showcase they did a month ago and it will explain everything.
There's 16 spells on demand in combat + magical plants, beasts, & others characters that fight along side you. You can swap hotbars with the dpad. Games like elder scrolls & witcher had very few abilities on demand, yet they're renowned classics.
And still witcher 3, sekiro and elden ring is loved by the community...gameplay should be smooth and fun..most of the gamers don't really care about animation that much
The sound design and the animation really gives that horrifying vibe of uttering the unforgivable curses. The gut-wrenching feeling of killing at the first time, but then you get used to it. Sh*t!

Yeah, the incantations need to be said with more urgency and aggression during combat. The protagonist sounds way too calm while casting.
