Hey guys... I lived in Thailand a few years ago and hated those atm fees. A quick hack I found out was going inside the bank and doing a counter withdrawal. Just wait in line, tell them you want to do a withdrawal, and they'll bring out that little machine and swipe your card there and give you the cash right there -- and you don't get charged atm fees because it's technically not an atm withdrawal. Hope that helps. Safe travels!

welcome to Thailand guys! Anyway, I think the price of the stuff onboard was wrong because I just traveled with Thai AirAsia last week (from DPS-DMK) and the price of water is just 40 thb. So, it’s gonna be only 1.5 usd. When I paid to them 2 usd, I got change in thb! So, I f you pay 5.66 usd as you mentioned, it’s probably 175 thb which is very expensive for a bottle of plain water!! I think it’s gonna be something wrong for you or maybe miscommunication with the crew. And of course, rate is a bit different but it’s acceptable! On the other hand, if you pay in Indonesia Rupia, 1 bottle of water is gonna be 40,000 IDR as IDR is lower that THB.

We love Thailand and have been there 7 times twice thru Bangkok. Where you stay is very important as the first time we picked the wrong area ( on friends advice ) did not suit us at all . last time we really loved where we stayed . Love the local feel and easy to pick the best food when you find a restaurant full of locals. I had read somewhere that they have cleared away alot of the night time street vendors over the years . The BEST way to avoid the ATM fees? I use my local ING debit card when travelling. None of these "travel money cards". Within less than 4 - 8 hours ALL foreign ATM fees are credited back to your Aussie ING card. Even foreign conversion fees; the same. Works a treat.
While you are in Thailand a must visit is Cave Lodge in Bang Ma pha, Mae Hong son province in the mountains of the the North. I ran small group adventures tours throughout Thailand and SouthEast Asia for 11 years and everyone I took there loved it and the area is full of hill tribe villages, caves and great walks in spectacular scenery. Especially good in the cooler months Oct-Jan/Feb. Super green and lush just after the rains have backed off and as the temps start to drop. Misty mountains and green forests. Women say Kop khun ka and men say Kop khun kup so the street food guy was correcting you in a polite way by saying "Kop khun ka" back to you when you used the men's thank you. When you go up North Mandy can use Kop khun jao as thank you. The locals will love it. 🙂
Guys, if you are going to Chiang Mai, avoid the hassles of local bus and trains, it's a lot easier and faster and less tiring to just take a flight there!!!
Good thing you guys provided useful Information about how travel is these days; how to get a Thai pass, what Grab is and how to use it - and all that other stuff people need to know that is actually useful. Great vid.
Reach out to Bangkok vloggers Dan the Man (English guy) and Keis One (Adam who is an Aussie) to run your issues by. They are both there in Bangkok close by to where you are staying and maybe you could meet up with them . Great guys.
@@koalanotbear 100% reach out to Adam. One of the nicest guys around UA-cam whilst Dan's probably one of the funniest!! Well in my opinion and they work so well together when they do their live videos together!!
I think there is a trick with ATMs. The fees are applied when you let the ATM convert from AUD to baht. You need to say no in the menu and then the bank will do the conversion instead.
So sorry to hear your issue with Adsense. I'm Indonesian and I live in Jimbaran - Bali. If you need a permanent address or something to make it work, maybe we can discuss about it. I'm not looking for money, fame, etc. I'm just trying to help cos you guys have given good exposure about Bali and I think this is the least I can do. Anyway if you believe in an angel, I probably one of them [in Jim Carey's model] 😆 Ok take care both of you and let me know. Cheers.
I was in Thailand Feb/Mar and made about a dozen ATM withdrawals. So fees add up, around AUD100 for me. I am heading back next month and once the cash I am bringing is expended I will need to withdraw cash from somewhere. Someone told me the 220 baht ATM fee can be avoided by withdrawing over the counter, just need to bring your passport. I will give that a go next time.
I have a ING orange everyday account from Australia. They offered no fee ATM any bank anywhere. You must deposit $1000aud every month. If you deposit in June it will be in effect July. Saved me a ton. I live in Bangkok now and don’t need it. It was all done online, they did have a small branch in Sydney CBD. Good luck!
Thank you very much to sharing a wonderful trip to worldwide. next time, if you guys need any suggests with secrest place in Bangkok or nearby Bangkok. plz, let's me know.
If you would withdraw money from atm,i recommend the purple atm (siam commercial) And always keep small bills (a lot of 20baht).. if you ever ride taxi, use the pink one.. far more cheap, they use meter.. other colour taxi would too expensive.. or you can choose grab car..
King Power Mahanakhon Tower is view skyline in Bangkok and sunset , But you should choose a visit date as there will be days when the admission ticket is cheaper than usual.
Next time if you try green curry again Should start by pouring the curry sauce over the rice verbatim. It will be more delicious than putting all the rice in the curry.
Just discovered you guys when looking into a return to Phuket. Great content, looking forward to catching up on more. Don't be shy in letting us know what beers are best, by the looks of your eyes in this vid you put a few away! Love it, brilliant!
If you are an Australian open an ING bank account in Australia before you travel. All fees are reimbursed straight away so you don't have to worry about how much the ATM fees are in any country. For Americans open a Charles Schwab account. Most expensive fees I have ever paid was $8 in Singapore in Chinatown.
Wow the price of lodging and breakfast are amazing. The room look clean and good enough to stay. You are lucky to be able to get that price . Enjoy your stay!

Hi, all atm in thailand charge 10 au for experience... even if you use wise, its all banks from what i found when i was last there. Only thing i could think of to get around was take out large amount, or use the wise mastercard and tap to pay everything which was cheaper.
normally I don't really do atm there unless is urgent .. and just had some thai baht in cash. for the transport and food.. i'll normally use bigpay card for restaurant and grab which had 0% for bank fee
I lived in Bangkok when I got verified by Google (different account) and I had them send the verification piece of mail to a family member and then they provided me with the code (if I remember correctly). This worked because I was using the same family member as my address for my financial accounts so don't know if that is required but maybe that is an option. I don't know if you all are using Aussie dollars or US but it is a great time to use US dollars in Thailand, check out the currency conversion chart. It was 30 to 1 when I lived there.
Thank you for this video. I really like your chill and honest vibe. The tuk tuk may be a scam. The driver gets a commission from the silk shop. There are other scammers near popular tourist spots. Sometimes they would tell you that the temples won’t open until later, and that you should do a tour with them first. But glad you made the best out of it. I usually use the prices on Grab to see if the driver is offering a fair price. Be on the lookout if it is too good to be true sometimes.

ฉันกดติดตามให้คุณแล้ว ...วีดีโอของคูณดูดีมาก โปรดทำต่อไป...👍
I had (yes had) many many many travels planned spanning over these 3 year..
but due to covid, it wrecked my cash flow and set me back to another 3 year before i (we) can go without any repecursion in work related thingy..
so yeah..
thanks for these comforting travelling vids guys..
I hated Bangkok the first 2 times I went to Thailand. 2 days was the max for me.
But now, I absolutely love Bangkok. Can't explain it. It's so ALIVE!
Same!
Yup, its so true. Thai ATM charge is high, around 200-220 bath. Its all almost the same from any ATM there.
Welcome to Thailand
ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ประเทศไทย 😊
Guys, if you are going to Chiang Mai, avoid the hassles of local bus and trains, it's a lot easier and faster and less tiring to just take a flight there!!!
I 100% agree. 😁😁😁🤜🤛
The girl look so happy ^^ also gorgeous! Enjoy Thailand
Good thing you guys provided useful Information about how travel is these days; how to get a Thai pass, what Grab is and how to use it - and all that other stuff people need to know that is actually useful. Great vid.
Hello you two…just subbed , really enjoying your journey, thanks for sharing..all the best!!
Reach out to Bangkok vloggers Dan the Man (English guy) and Keis One (Adam who is an Aussie) to run your issues by. They are both there in Bangkok close by to where you are staying and maybe you could meet up with them . Great guys.
I agree!! Those guys are really cool!!!
@@koalanotbear 100% reach out to Adam. One of the nicest guys around UA-cam whilst Dan's probably one of the funniest!! Well in my opinion and they work so well together when they do their live videos together!!
So true!
ขอบคุณที่มาเที่ยวเมืองไทย.คนไทยรักคุณ..
Anyway if you believe in an angel, I probably one of them [in Jim Carey's model] 😆
Ok take care both of you and let me know.
@15:04 you can send it over to the Virtual office address with PO box else send it over to your parents house and have them ready the pin for you
มาพักแถวบ้านเราหรอนี้ เมื่อวานเห็นเดืนผ่านหน้าบ้าน ดีใจนะที่มาพักแถวบ้านเรา
I love Bangkok, been there 5 times. Once for 5 months working. Awesome part of the world.
All the ATM have the same fee. And limited at about 300 euro you can withdraw. However I do think most shops and restaurants now accept revolut
Bangkok is one of my fav cities in the world..check out paddy doyles videos on bangkok if you want recommendations
Good luck!
ขอให้สนุกกับการเดินทางนะครับ
Thank you very much to sharing a wonderful trip to worldwide.
next time, if you guys need any suggests with secrest place in Bangkok or nearby Bangkok.
plz, let's me know.
If you would withdraw money from atm,i recommend the purple atm (siam commercial)
And always keep small bills (a lot of 20baht).. if you ever ride taxi, use the pink one.. far more cheap, they use meter.. other colour taxi would too expensive.. or you can choose grab car..
I never know about pink taxis before! I am Thai. This is the new knowledge for me!
You can use rabbit card or other cashless payment. Max cash withdrawal from atm is 30 k.
welcome!!!to thailand I'm hope you happy so much in landsmils
Thank you! 😃
Yay you finally made it after that lousy end to Bali.
ยินดีต้อนรับสู่เมืองไทย และขอให้เที่ยวเมืองไทยให้สนุกครับ
Thank you
You love Thailand 🙏🙏
I hope you happy trip😀
Hi, did you two fly in from Australia as direct flight from Australia to Thailand, or it via Malaysia or Indonesia ? Thanks.
Hi Lloyd & Mandy😇😇🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
You're so cute when you dance to customers in front of the pub. It's really fun. I just saw a foreigner do it. It's so funny & impressive. I circled it 3 times.
......ha ha ha😁😁😁

I think the rainy seasons are different between the north and south. Something to consider when making your itinerary. Yay! You're in Thailand!
16:40 One of the best food stand for everyone in this neighborhood. She cooks very good Pad Thai too.
Hi, all atm in thailand charge 10 au for experience... even if you use wise, its all banks from what i found when i was last there. Only thing i could think of to get around was take out large amount, or use the wise mastercard and tap to pay everything which was cheaper.
17:23 "Richeese factory Spicy ???" 😄😆🤣 U are so funny Mandy .that will be remind u forever LOL🔥
normally I don't really do atm there unless is urgent .. and just had some thai baht in cash. for the transport and food.. i'll normally use bigpay card for restaurant and grab which had 0% for bank fee
Hello! You're really nice couple. Thank you for visitting our country. I hope you've got a pleasant stay in this scorching place on this planet.
thank you for visiting Samsen village. This area is my hometown. A lot of food around here are so yummmy
Welcome to Thailand we love you guys!!
Main ke Sulawesi disana bayak sekali kuliner dan tempat wisata seperti pantai dan hutan tropis
Omg you got absolutely TAXED on those flight meals! 🤯🤯🤯
彼女はすぐ笑うのが良いところですね👍楽しんで下さい。
ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ประเทศไทยครับ เที่ยวให้สนุกนะครับ
Warm greetings from Indonesia
Thanks Brother and Sista for sharing wonderful Bangkok
Wish you always healthy and happy
God bless you and family
Thank you for this video. I really like your chill and honest vibe. The tuk tuk may be a scam. The driver gets a commission from the silk shop. There are other scammers near popular tourist spots. Sometimes they would tell you that the temples won’t open until later, and that you should do a tour with them first. But glad you made the best out of it. I usually use the prices on Grab to see if the driver is offering a fair price. Be on the lookout if it is too good to be true sometimes.
