Great couples (with the Lord's guidance) are able to do that and go on and raise great families. There are a zillion cases of wrecked families that have or had tons of money.

There’s not as many cases of having money and then having unsuccessful children, it’s just a fact that most of the time you inherit your parents economic status. Most American families “have guidance from the lord” I don’t see them being successful. Money is the common denominator, here. Most families are family first. Most families are religious. Not all families have that kind of money. I’m a huge fan of Steph, but I don’t think that he is one of the greatest basketball players on the planet solely because his mom made him do the dishes and go to church.

Now, depending on how it is nurtured, fed with clean-earned, blessed money (not stolen or laundered drug money and so on) it will grow up healthy, strong and productive or it will grow malnourished and die.
If one truly puts God first, taking *good* care of her husband and her husband taking *good* care of her with Godly respect, honor and love, the relationship, the family, the finances and other good things will follow. The NBA like practically all other professional fields around the world produces a rather high percentage of financial and familial wreckage. There are individuals who made millions of tens of millions of dollars (even up to 100 million dollars in some cases) who are broke today and whose family life is a mess or even non-existent.
You may need, Umesh, to rewind the clip and listen more carefully. Where did you get (A) "She made Steph do the dishes"?? or (B) she made Steph go to church?? Sonya says: If everyone plays their part, that is the only way they will be able to succeed as a family. And that is true.
Mere church-going is mostly false and hypocritical. Do not be fooled by billy graham, benny hinn, t.d. jakes or the pope or the archbishop if cantebury or all the Bible-less church-going performed by billions all over the world. It has the appearance of worship but is mostly really empty hypocrisy.
But as the Lord says: "16 You will know them by their fruits. Do people gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 *A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.* " You know a person who is really followed Christ by their results and Dell and Sonya Curry have produced stellar results.
Where the Word is respected, things grow: Work, relationships, finances, family, love, strength, courage, integrity. Sonya says she *trained them in the ways of the Lord.* This is drastically different from going to church to listen to diluted and false misleading teachings (which actually come from the demons), and singing and dancing all day long (perhaps even all night long) doing the plenty of nothing that most "church-going" and religion entails. She took the Word of God (the commands in the Holy Bible) and not only *taught* but also *trained* her children in what Jesus would have them do and she raised them up that way. And it continues - see what she did when Steph cursed during that game? That is training in how one should speak before God because, despite what most people think and believe, *God is watching and listening all the time*.

We too raised our amazing children, they were self motivated, and kept them involved. It's refreshing to see how invested she was in their lives. As parents, our children also bring out the best in us!

She is definitely not a weak woman. I have 3 boys and i can tell you that it isn't easy raising boys. Money has nothing to do with raising 3 successful children. There are plenty of rich kids who ended up taking drugs, and alcohol, some even incarcerated. When you are raised with the awareness that you are accountable to God for your actions, it keeps you grounded. She is a great mom and I'm sure that her kids knkw that.
