I love Jennifer so much, and her portayal of Natalie is just perfect. It would be easy to play her as depressed, but the way she plays it I really do get the feeling she's been dealing with this crap for years. Not to mention she had an amazing amout of talent at such a young age and is absolutely stunning.
God, Jennifer Damiano is incredible...her vibrato is flawless! I definitely prefer Alice Ripley to Jessica Phillips (Jessica does seem too young, and Alice gets the character more) but Jessica's voice is really beautiful too!
Jessica is totally right for the role. So is Alice, by the way. They both play remarkable Diana's and I doubt most of you have seen them both ON STAGE, not in an outdoor arena. And I agree with you, InvisibleBoxes... she gets so into the role with even glancing at her hands - so wonderful.
@sugarhoneyicedtea123 It's the character. Natalie is a really nervous character, so Jenn incorporated a lot of nervous movements. She doesn't look like that when she sings songs that aren't from Next to Normal.
The more I watch Kyle I like him. I mean I'm still in love with Aaron, but Kyle is great as well. Jessica sounds young to me, but she has a great voice

Jennifer is so focused and intense, even in a less-than-ideal outdoor venue. I'm looking forward to seeing the show again on Aug. 20.
