The fear Modi has to face Rahul and even debate is that, Modi has said everything he could say under the sun about Rahul and his party and his personal life. We followed a "middle path" since independence, a combination of public and private enterprise... Of course there were issues with too much regulation of the pvt sector which was tackled in the economic liberalisation of 1991. But yes, it worked and I believe it has saved India from going the Africa way where many countries encouraged Oligarchs creating some of the most horrific income inequality. By contrast, India pulled many out of poverty, which I believe has contributed to that "fundamental strength ' we keep talking about.
Isn't Democracy the opposite of the 'Mountain Top' model? The more advanced a society, the more self -belief and confidence in controlling one's destiny, the greater the desire for true democracy. We want a government that leads us to that. Focus on giving a leg-up to those that are in need of help through a welfare model, and let those who can make it go ahead without unnecessary hindrance such as excessive regulation. The mountain top model may have prevailed historically, but it left the majority oppressed with almost no scope to develop and evolve. The valley model is what will prevail in a more evolved society, and i think that is what the people said in the 2024 general election.
Khata khat forms ,changed the scenario. BJP lost around 70 seats and dynastic parties gained the same .However ,Congress has failed to cross double century mark in 3 innings. It will take another inning to to cross 271 mark .
