I have 18 Tuscon that does just what you showed with your 2nd "test" dive. The dealer says needs the manifold catalytic replaced. Will a product like cataclean work for this or am I too late for cataclean?
Your sight must not be very valuable. I know eye protection can be aggravating. I've worn glasses all my life and I know how important it is to have some type of eye protection. I'm not telling you how to live your life. Just my perspective. It's your business, your life, and your sight. All valued gifts from God.
I did a Pontiac G6 years ago that wouldn't go over 30 mph. My first thought was a bad Cat. I verified with an exhaust pressure tester that screws into the up stream O2 and yes, it was plugged. I called our GM dealer because I heard GM extended the warrantee on these cat's because they would melt inside. The dealer argued with me and finally looked it up and yes they did extend the warrantee, but mine was past the miles.

What did you charge for the cat and labor?

Like the old potato in the exhaust pipe trick from years ago...😈
