Easy plant to grow. Self propagate easily but easy to thin out and control. Cut back at the base to keep tidy for winter. Remove unwanted babies around the outside.
1. Keep the plant small & tidy
2. Prevent the plant from growing as a ring with a dead center
If not controlled, the clump would get too big and overwhelming for my small flower bed.
A personal preference/need. may not be for everyone.
