Hey y'all! We hope you enjoyed this visit to Highway 6 RV Resort. It is our go-to RV park when we're in Houston. If you'd like to see more about our experiences at Hwy 6, check out our write-up from our first visit there in 2018: rvtexasyall.com/region-texas-gulf-coast/rv-parks/highway-6-rv-resort .
Wow really nice. This will make a great place to stay when we visit family nearby. We have been at Lassen Volcanic National Park in California and sure would like to see a laundry room like that! The outdoor grill area is beyond awesome.
That looks like a fantastic park on the West side of Houston. It would be a convenient one for us when we visit family and friends. Great video.....Howard and Betty.
Gosh I didn't know that was out there. Real nice place to stay and a nice clean swimming pool. Thanks and take care. Hope Tom Dad is doing well. Hugs to Star and Love y'all.
This is the park you recently told me about for accessing nearby bike trails. Thanks so much for the video! Looks like a great place. We hope to come there for a few days in the near future and bring our bikes and dogs. Thanks again!
@@rvamericayall that’s awesome. I wasn’t sure where y’all stayed around Houston but I looked for y’all when we were there. Would love to run into y’all one day.
The monthly rate for what? If you talking about camping rates then it’s best to go to Quality RV Resorts website because we recorded this over 5 years ago!
Good Afternoon Y'all ☕️! This looks so much like Katy Lake RV Resort we've stayed at before as far as amities go, but Highway 6 looks like it has a better setting with a park across the way and not stuck in the back of a neighborhood like Katy Lake. We'll update our Houston area parks with Highway 6 at the top of the list. Parks designed by RVers for RVers are also better in our opinion just like the rock area around the power/water pedestal (good idea)!
Definitely Ben! We've stayed at Katy Lake also. Nice place, but yes... we like the details at Highway 6 better. The park across the way is awesome and the staff here is really fantastic. Quality RV Resorts owns several RV parks and resorts around Houston: www.qualityrvresorts.com/ .
Thanks for posting such a premium resort review. They should name the rolling magnet the Keystone Express! The number of fender skirt screws I alone have lost has probably accounted for half a dozen flats. Sorry folks ahead of time......
Glad you enjoyed it Scott! We used to lose a lot of fender skirt screws too. The "Keystone Express" is one of the neatest things we've ever seen in a park.
Wow! I grew up 3 miles from here. Not sure if y'all are doing meetups anytime soon but I'm actually in town for a bit (normally I'm in Massachusetts). :-) I'll keep an eye on your newsletter and social media.
Nice review. I looked them up on Google Maps satellite view. Great location. Rhonda wasn’t kidding about the convenience to Bucky’s, Walmart and Aldi. Looks like a an absolutely beautiful park. Maybe you can include in the video the bathrooms. Also, what the rates are. And info about the owners (is this company publicly or privately owned and a bit of info about the owners). We will put this park on our list to stay when in the area. Greatly enjoy your videos. For your Wednesday videos, would like it if you go longer, say 15 minutes.
Thanks John. Glad you enjoyed the video. We always enjoy our stays at Highway 6. This park is owned by Quality RV Resorts: www.qualityrvresorts.com/ . The company was started by an RVer in 1992. Quality RV Resorts now owns and operates 15 RV parks and resorts, mostly in the Houston area, but also in Victoria and San Antonio. From our experience at their parks, the park managers and employees always live on site.
What a nice park. Looks familiar 😉. What was the pyramid thing in the beginning on the right by the dog park? Has Astro visited the dog park? We would appreciate the adult only hours at the pool. We enjoyed watching the duck family while we were there.
Looks like a nice park, what is the water like, do they have sites with no Firepits due to allergies? What are the Temps in Houston during the Winter? Thanks for sharing guys
We always enjoy our stays. The lake is a clean catch and release fishing pond. There are 2 community firepits... one at each end of the lake. The sites themselves don’t have firepits unless a guest has brought in their own. Houston temps are typically mild during the Winter. Mostly 40s-60s. Rarely in the 30s.
Hey Jennifer! We have always used an external surge protector. Since we don't have any personal experience with a hard-wired system, we can't really comment on them. We've always used surge protectors from Technology Research (now called Southwire). They have never let us down. Here's one like we have: amzn.to/35eLQmo
@@rvamericayall Thanks so much! I'll look at them. External does seem much easier, I just don't want it to get stolen. I know you can lock them somehow, but still.....Thanks again!
Wow! that's a beautiful resort. PS: Hey Tom, did I say something wrong in your Wednesday's wingin it episode? You never said anything back to me which made me think I might of said something wrong. Camping with the Kardashians or something like that. Might of been when I cracked those jokes about Bruce Jenner huh?
@@rvamericayall Yeah! I commented but I thought maybe you were mad at my jokes I commented with. I thought to myself, hmm! maybe my jokes were to raunchy because you guys always respond back to me. :)

I used to live there. I love them and their sister RV parks. They are the only RV parks I stay at when I'm there
I have so many great memories living there

We stayed at the Fallbrook quality resort during our evacuation from delta. Great place. Looks very similar.
Hey Rodney! We just left Fallbrook a few days ago. Yes, they are very similar.

Star looks like She's really enjoying herself! From running around in the dog area! To a free shower to cool off after! What a "Dog's Life"! Lol! :)
You're right Kevin. Star loves it. This is definitely one of the most dog friendly parks we've stayed at.
