OK, for those who think he's "Crazy", you might want to look up a guy named Jerry Lee Lewis. Jerry Lee's style is exactly what this guy is emulating, and it's the only way Boogie Woogie piano should be played. This guy nails everything perfectly. Absolutely awesome.
This guy definitely is good and amazing, but he is a little sloppy. Jerry lee does get nuts with his dancing and head bobbing and things like that, but his playing and timing is spot on. This guy speeds up and slows down speeds up then slows down. When he is getting crazy and pulling his hand high up and hitting the notes crazily you can listen and tell he hits multiple notes that are wrong and it blurs the sound and some notes sound off and sloppy. If he would just tighten up the screws a little, he could be a whole lot better, if he can get any more awesome.
I think I may have used an expression that is just used where I live, but you misinterpreted it. I said he's "Crazy", meaning I was amazed by how good he was. I want to say he nailed it but I'm afraid people might think I'm trying to make a pun, so I'll say he hammered it, probably got screwed for it, and he really drilled into that piano...
Couldn't care about the quality of the film or the moaning comments about why a piano is in a hardware store. The guy can play! That's some fantastic foot tapping music going on!

I had the privilege of seeing Jerry Lee, ChuckBerry, Bo Diddley, and a whole lot of other great musicians and singers perform one fabulous night in maybe 1971 at the LA Forum. Jerry woulda been proud of this kid. He just needs to learn to stand up and push the bench backwards and never miss a beat and play while standing up. I bet he could!

Rickey Mitchell..are you sure?.. OK.. then I would highly advise you to listen to Lucas Sestak "this piano song is very fast" or "key engine"... e sure.. it will fuckin' blow your mind.. 😉👍
These people below arguing about posture and use of pinkies are hilarious. Does it really matter? The guy sounds awesome, and when it comes to music, that's all that counts.
blacksabfan Actually he sounds like a drunk guy, who has no clue of what he is doing. The composer must feel very bad hearing this guy "playing" his music.
It's too bad that we don't have more places like this Hardware Store where ordinary people like this guy get the chance to show off their talent . This shows me that Music can really bring people together in a good way. I bet there are millions of people like this man who will never have the chance to show their talent and that's a real shame. I remember being on a ship coming to the United States and watching a group of Americans playing guitar . ..so I went and got mine and joined them ,even though I didn't speak any English ... I will never forget that day. Music can bring people together and it is awesome.
He brings out the pinkies on rare occasions. But he says it’s easier to play without them. Every piano teacher is stunned that he can do this with such an odd technique
@@halv0420 not hard to use for any of the chords, it’s just that in my experience improving this style, I often will have to go-to riffs that I have practiced in the past. Freakin' amazing! Kid must have been doing this since age 5. Crazy? Yeah, just like that wacked out crazy-man, the wild, madly talented singer/pianist Jerry Lee Lewis. He's not bad, but I wouldn't call this amazing, not even close. His hands and fingers are way too stiff, and if he doesn't improve his posture, he won't get any better. Other than that, he's alright, but way better than I can do, that's for sure.
miszuisu Please don't take this as snappy, but I'm confused as to how you can critique him if it's already way better than you can do?
