I saw a TikTok video this morning talking about the trend of using MORE makeup in order to have the best staying power. I think this depends on a couple of things... are you doing this on smooth skin that doesn't have many texture issues? Also... is the standard for the makeup to look good at the end of the day, or to simply be present on the skin. I kinda want to try this for myself! :) - Навчання та стиль

Hello Emily. I had just watched your video from Thursday where you had discussed that it's no longer a hunt to look for dupes since drugstore brands are now blatantly advertising that their version is a dupe of C Tilbury etc. Jen Phelps have the same video where she said she used to enjoy the hunt for the dupes but doesn't enjoy it now. Amazing that 2 of my YT faves have the same opinion on it❤❤❤

Wayne Goss applied that highlighter all over his face and he looked like a tin man. Seriously... that's just a highlighter unless you have absolutely perfect skin. Thanks for the awesome reviews as always, Emily! I wish the Balm would have put the faces on the tube and put that part of the tube in the cutout... serves both the outside and the inside and you get to keep the "cute" part of the packaging. I hate it when the outside packaging is amazing and opens up to something plain. We never keep the outside packaging! Don't they know that? Either way, I always turn to your channel when I'm curious about new stuff. I know I'm gonna get a thorough review and your honest thoughts. Appreciate you!! 💖

The lip products are intriguing. I want more sheer lip products in a stick form - especially in nude colors. I love bold lipstick, but most of the time I just want something I can throw on without thinking
Your recent Rimmel video inspired me to try Lasting Finish again. I’ve been so pleased with how fresh it looks in comparison with the Maybelline SuperStay I had been using. I was feeling like my makeup was bringing my face down but I couldn’t figure out why. It was the heaviness of the foundation. ❤

I wanted to let you know I really liked your recent lip pairing video. I can’t tell you how much time I have wasted standing in the drug store trying to figure out what goes together in “real light”. Not to mention the $ I have wasted on items I thought went together, but didn’t, lol.

Ive already been out at a craft fair and now I'm home to have a cup of coffee and watch YOU! ❤ I love hearing about products. I've got two to return to Sephora for color changes. One is a Laura Mercier foundation and the other is a Lancome Concealer. Thank you for all you do! ❤ Side note, my granddaughters are at the National Cheer Competition in Orlando! My oldest made it to day 2 and the younger one is in 2 competions. One for the minis and one for her age. The squad thats her age has only come in 2nd a few times. I feel like The Balm makeup has been hit or miss for me. The makeup itself is either amazing of a huge let down. The packaging though is always a huge hit 😂
The packaging gets me 100% of the time. They definitely do marketing right!
The dollar store had Ioni which are benefit dupes, right down to similar cardboard packaging. There’s a lip jelly at the dollar store that dupes the Tower 28 lip jellies. And for brush cleaners, Bath and Beauty has a dupe for Cinnamon Secret. Been looking for a good dupe for years and never found anything close until now. It’s a no rinse, brush cleaner that works as well as CS.

I think what Natasha Denona was going for is a product similar to the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder but like the other end of the spectrum. Unfortunately - it was kinda missing the mark (by a mile too in my opinion). Either way - thank you for your hardwork and effort again!

Always my fave part of Saturday (and Tuesday and Thursday)! BTW, bought me a big ol jar of Vanicream and I am a fan! Plays very well under makeup. The rest of my skincare is CeraVe, but I do really like the Vanicream.

They just took Rimmel brand off my Walmart shelves. And we don’t have a CVS/Walgreens close to us. I’m hesitant to try just because I know it won’t be easy to repurchase. I’m sad!!!!! (Like I need another foundation! 😜)

Oh no! Don't like to hear that. Compared to recent years, I'd have to say rimmel now has a smaller footprint in my walmart than it used to. Walgreens always seems to have more in my area!
For someone who has battled extremely oily skin all my life, I can never understand the all over glow look. I have always looked for any possible way to tone done my shine. So frustrating seeing the camera flash on your face in pictures 😂

I love liquid blushes that have the pigment but blend out to be this natural diffused blush color- Not those old liquid blushes that are so pigmented, but then stain where you first lay it down and you can never get it blended out seamlessly, so it makes them scary to use. We’ve come a long way since those days, for liquid and cream blushes. These make it so convenient, simple and you get a whole lot of product in those tubes of liquid blushes and bronzers.
As far as a powder, especially for more mature skin, I really can’t suggest a better powder to anyone (of any age really, but especially more mature skin) than Rimmel Stay Matte. It really is the perfect powder, so it’s hard to believe how inexpensive it is, and how universal it is for everyone. You grab one of the deeper shades and it makes for the perfect natural bronzer even (like I’ve seen Emily do plenty of times.) You never have to worry about over doing, or getting this powdery dry, cakey look you do with most powders and it diffuses or airbrushes anything you buff it on or over beautifully. I would love if they would keep the size put it in a flip top or something, but that’s my only complaint- packaging, not even a formula complaint. I would choose this over any high end or luxury powder, hands down, no hesitation at all.
Hi, Emily, thanks for your reviews. I felt that the ND product on top of your glowy blushes was overkill, and I agree that it was more suited as a highlighting product vs all-over. Loved the bareMinerals lippies!

I love them and they sound a lot like those Bare Minerals lippies, but they are a slim tube! She has 3 really pretty shades! I think you would love them!

Emily, you're pretty much the only you tuber i subscribe too. I got annoyed with Tati she was too much drama, i watch allie and marlena occasionally but you're still my number one. Your channel has no drama, you're honest and you're very drug store orientated. The only thing I've ever spent money on is eyeshadow pallettes and mineral foundation. But other than that, everything is drug store.
I wfh but I'm going to make it a mission to wear make up every few days to make me feel like a human!

Persona have started really getting my interest! They have some gorgeous products.
What is it with companies? It's like they're allergic to going beyond 3-4 shades. I'm so glad some are trying to put in a deep(er) shade but over and over now fair people are getting left out when it's supposed to be getting better. None of the tinted or balm things are close to wearable. I bought the Maybelline 4-in-1 Fair-Light 'cos of you and it's a contour shade for me. I'm not even kidding. That Balm powder? That's unwearable that is not fair. No fair person is wearing that ND "Light" all over their face. Gah. It's not a competition. One of us doesn't have to lose out. Put. Out. All. The. Shades. If you're going to do this "blam" thing with less shades you should at least have fair, light, medium, tan, dark and deep. Minimum.
That's literally the bare minimum for any complexion product imho including targeted for blush, highlight etc too imho. Min 6 or go home.
Would love to see you do a brand review of RMS beauty .

I'd recommend Fenty's stick overall, but if you are extremely dry and coverage isn't a major concern- the new one from ABH
Also, how do those lipsticks compare to the Milani Color Fetish Balm lipsticks (the matte formula's predecessor)? There are so many really similar shades in that line to this one, but also drugstore.
The Milani ones have less moisture and are MUCH more potent color-wise. These all have more sheerness

I have those Balm products too, very cute! I feel exactly as you do, the heat is too much for me. I see all these people loving summer fun, meanwhile I'm sitting in the a/c, lol. I've actually had my a/c going for weeks now, it got near 80 degrees where I live. My boyfriend will say, you've got it so cold in here, I could hang meat, ugh. I don't like heat! Fall is my FAVORITE too😊

Haha! I really love the A/C cold goodness too. It gets up to 115 F where I live in the U.S. and even though I've lived here almost 30 years, it never gets easier when the summer heat comes every year! 🔥😭🤬 😂🥲

Oh I thought this was a review of minis. That's a video idea if you've not done it yet (or an updated one could be in order there's soooo many more minis these days) - compare all your minis to the full size versions if you have them and see if they're the same quality or not.
'Cos I am all about minis atm. I can satisfy some of my makeup hording tendencies but also save money and realistically have less product waste and packaging. I'm doing so well I've not bought any makeup since the start of February!
