I love highway patrol. I just love to watch all series and go back to yesterday- It is so much fun. Just get in front of my screen and play them all by myself with a cup of coffee. One can make himself happy if he wants to. I like to watch them all by myself-

From the days when 26 min of a 30 min TV show was actually the show with just 4 min of commercials.... now its closer to 18 min of the show and 12 of commercials.
Thats right. There were 4 breaks in each hour, 2 minutes long. You could set your watch by the breaks. At the hour, the quarter hour, half and 3/4 hours. The hour long shows were 52 minutes of actual show.

Crawford apparently started drinking more heavily as the show's work hours dragged on year after year. He typically had to do his scenes before noon otherwise he would get so hammered you couldn't understand him. Crawford also had a person assigned to him to make sure he didn't sneak booze on the set, but eventually he started paying people off to get him a bottle. Crawford had many falls on the set and in certain scenes where he was standing near a wall or door, the scenes were actually shot with Crawford on the ground with the camera moved tova different angle. Lastly, he was arrested various times for DWI. Because he lost his DL, many of the scenes where he's seen driving were shot on private roads, not public, around the set.

Me too. That car is bad ass. A 1958 Plymouth Fury 2 door convertible. It came with the 350 Golden Commando engine w/ dual holley 4 barrel carbs and put out 305 hp. i've never seen a convertible for sale. Found a restored 2 door hardtop in an ugly beige color inside and out for $75,000. Ouch!
The 8 year old boy Billy was played by 10 year old Eugene Mazzola credited as Eugene Martin. From a Hollywood family he became a Production Manager etc later in his career

This episodes a little personal for me as it brings back chilling memories for me of various incidents concerning family members and friends who have been raped, murdered or seriously injured thru scum buckets breaking in to their properties or hijacking their cars. They came for me too. Told me they were going to kill me. That SOB discovered to his detriment that I was willing and very capable of fighting back. Even though the Police never found him, I wish him only the worst, considering his health when we were finished, and him and his mates hopped it. since victims who fight back are no fun!!!! I respect and salute anyone who reads this and has fought back in whatever way inc of putting pressure on law enforcement to catch the scumbags involved. Good for you!!

Even today, a Middle~Aged Woman or older can case houses and who would suspect? I am in a rural area and this place is Ripe For the Pickin's. Back in 2008 after I was here 3 years an older woman, about 60 was driving in and out of driveways here. This road is 2 miles long and the 6 of us here live in the middle in a cluster. I saw this woman going even behind a neighbours home. One neighbour said she was a Census taker. I said first they have to have a reason to come to your home, next the census is every 10 years and another is it was 2008,and not a Census year. I made sure everyone knew. Keys,guns, wallets left in cars even at the store, doors unlocked and wide open. I can go on and on. The neighbours all saw that woman in 2008 and one spoke to her. He said she had a badge on the seat. I said anyone can have something laminated. I was the only one who was suspicious. I am not from here. I grew up in a small town, school in the city and lived in cities since. The last 11 years after losing my Husband of 22 years to cancer has been awful here. I am in South Carolina, and it is beautiful. Just very hard in a rural area totally on your own without any help at all. My house is on the market and I am going home to Florida when it is sold.Hope it sells soon.
