  • In this video I 3D print a hydroponic vertical grow tower. Towards the end of the video I show the cost breakdown and a working tower that my brother in California has installed. As usual, I include my mistakes so you can avoid them.
The files for the tower including many different variants are found here:

If you can afford a Bambu you can afford to change the battery in your smoke detector.

I guess I should do that before my next video. The problem sometimes is identifying which smoke detector is beeping.

I recently bought the creality K1C for 550 euro's. It works great right out of the box, it's enclosed although it doesn't have the option for AMS. It's much cheaper tho, so for me as an industrial product design student, this was the better choice since it has almost the same capabilities as a bambu lab PS1 but for a lot less money.

You know how some of the sections have dispersing net? What happens if I have dispersing nets in every section? Will that be bad?

If its meant to be a Tool, bambu is the way to go. If you can enjoy the Build process and upgrading it, you will have a much better end result with one of the Voron Printers

Excellent video, I printed my tower 1 wiken back, I have some questions. What type of motor do you use to pump the water? I understand I have the same model that you have. 2. When you put the soil in the funnels, do you put some mesh on the soil or is it just the roots and that's it?

My brother uses a 12/24v dc mini submersible pump with an AC adapter. A 6 watt pump with max 220 liters per hour and 10 foot lift. It’s easier if you buy a submersible aquarium/pond pump from your local pet store. You can use clay balls but to save money I use coco fiber (also called coco coir). I put mosquito netting or a paint strainer bag around the pump to prevent clogging.

I am about to release my next video where I talk about sizing the pump among many other set up topics

thank you for sharing your experience. just wondering how long it took to print one stack with the bamboo? i printed one out on my printer and it took 20hrs, was thinking of upgrading and hoping the p1p would be a lot faster. thank you in advance for your reply. Have a Great Day!

A lot of the new generation of printers these days cut that down in half, for me with mine its around 4-5 hours instead depending on what parts.
