The end scene of this video might be the start of a good Star Wars Scenario, Imperial and Rebel forces stuck on a planet using their crashed capital ships as bases
Wish there was more Star Destroyer designs in the Steam Workshop for SE, would love to see the ultimate starfighter carrier, the Secutor-class Star Destroyer be made. Or even the fan-made Impellor-class Fleet Carrier.
the bulb on the bottom is an armored dome covering the main reactor, which sits low in the hull to balance out the weight of the dorsal superstructure. the secondary hanger is mostly just used for shuttles, leaving the main hanger for TIEs and various landers for troops and walkers. based on the trees at the end, this is maybe a 1/8th or 1/10th scale, it looks a lot closer to 160m long than the 1600m a full scale one would be.
This ship looks amazing, and i love it, the detailing is perfectly done, but if i think this would crash my SE if i tried to spawn it in my world😅 But lovely ship!!
The “bulb” on the ventral side of the ISDs / Imperial Battlecruisers (Allegiance-Class, etc) is the Reactor Shielding for the ship. Not sure why the Empire decided to have a portion of the Primary Reactor(s) exposed from the armored hull, but I guess it means more space for crew and storage.. Edit: After seeing the Bridge being small-grid, it would make sense that you could use it as an “escape pod” by detaching the grid size switch (hinge or rotor) and adding a couple parachutes or small ions / atmospherics to it.
This Star Destroyer is very beautiful, but it's soooo undergunned. It's 73,000 tons and we've all seen 5,000 tonners with more firepower. A multi-player scenario with this would be great but the ship designers would have to be limit their weapon installations. It would very tempting to gut the drives (leaving the great crew-space interiors) to see if it's possible to replace it all with enough hydrogen thrusters and tankage to do atmospheric work.
I have played space engineers for 1,5 hour yet and im still figuring out how to make a T-fighter. Let alone a whole star destroyer. In so jealous of everyones builds man, i can never imagine myself building something as good as that. Space engineers is tbh really immersive like time absolutely flies by when you play it. I hope that space engineers has still alot of creativity and joy to bring me
The ISD 1 side guns were turbo laser and then the one in the back is an ion canon. ISD 2 replaced the ion cannons and turbolasers with octuple turbolasers
@user-qc6jr4yx2p The model he is walking through in the beginning is an Imperator-class Star Destroyer. It is more commonly known as an ISD1. The octuple barbette turbolasers are on the successor model, the Imperial II-class. Each turret of the main battery has eight barrels.
the redesign looks really good, although i hope the older version is still available. I feel like the building tricks they used in this one could make it much more difficult to use for actual combat and stuff
Very nice! And just after i got done with a vanilla imperial shuttle. The lamda shuttle i called imperial shuttle one with hydrogen too. Can’t wait to see if it fits! :)
Hello! I'm completely new to Space Engineers; how do you use all the weapons on this Imperial Star Destroyer? I spent a bit over an hour trying to get the weapons working, to no avail. I assume it has many working weapons; I often see all the weapons firing from these large spaceships in those Space Engineers battle videos and I have no idea how to do the same. 🤔
Obviously it’s impossible to make it true scale but the scale it is at now, it’s really nice. Not too small to where you it feels silly, not to big to where it prevents a £50,000 computer from running it lol.
The ridiculous idea of a ship with a very huge and wide hull only to put the turrets on the starboard and port side of the hull that has no barbette inclination, I bet the Imperial Engineers when they are making this ship like doing this. Imperial Engineer 1: Let's make a ship that is mean-looking and very wide but with the shape of an arrow to intimidate the Plebs. Imperial Engineer 2: Yeah and let's color it white for the masses to see that the Empire is here! Shoot me... Kuat Drive Yards: Yeah and let's put a low profile quad turret, octa barrel turbo lasers as its main weapon on the side and leave the rest of the hull empty because it would ruin the aesthetics of the ship, and let's not put a step designed on the preceding turrets so it would block the view and could not fire all its gun on a strength view because its build for broadside warfare, rather than symmetrical warfare. Emperor Palpatine: What a glorious mean-looking ship. Grand Admiral Tarkin: Now let's build them in numbers without building smaller ships to flank and cover its heavy ass. Rebel Fighter: Boys were hunting pea shooter in today's menu.
A massive and impressible engineeting marble that has been watered down by Filoni. I miss the days of Star Wars when the Star Destroyer was shown in it's full might.
... Dave Filoni has produced more critically-accilaimed Star Wars content than any other person on the planet. Also, if you're going to complain about something you clearly are overly-opinionated on, please spell "marvel" correctly.
@@tsalVlog and he spelt engineering wrong, starwars rebels yeah he could have made star destroyers a bit more threatening but its only the earlier seasons they are badly used
I think the reason why it doesn't fly an atmosphere anymore is because the creator knows that originally there was a unique type of star destroyer that could go into the atmosphere, but the movies ruined it With I think it was a road one where there was like a star destroyer. That wasn't the unique type in the atmosphere.

Rebels win, their fighters come out of the side of their capital ships.. :D
@anumeon on the other hand the lack of dorsal weapons on the Star Destroyer is no longer an issue
Starwars red vs blue 😂
I give you one better, both factions are stuck on ONE destroyer and they fight over control of it

The empire made MANY ISD variations

Let me refresh your memory the big orb on the belly is where the reactor is.
The dome is actually additional armor protecting the reactor from damage.
Seems like a significant weakspot for any armour eating weapons
Captain Jack : Drops a whole capital ship on the planet.
Admiral Adama : That's a good trick.
This looks absolutely gorgeous.
That ship is massive , your vengeance mkII still looks way meaner tho .

@@JerryBurchard we will see , your probably right but check out captain Jack testing the combat ability .
It's the most well detailed recreation I've ever seen in vanilla space engineers
Man I love this game
Gives me a headache tho
I think you should do like battle for each faction also maybe a Star Wars themed planet battle where the goal is to claim all the planets
Long live the Empire May the glory of the empires army's keep growing
Imagine the planet have a debris field of star destroyers and rebel ships.

Please do a battle with these!
That Front hangar is the Admiral's Hangar.
The star-wars vibes I got from the interior were soo strong, the se character felt completely out of place😮 well done
the Orb at the bottom of the star destroyer is the reactor core
the ones on the sides are Octuple barbette turbolasers meaning that each side of the gun has 4 turbolasers so 8 for each battery on the sides

Front Hangar is For lambda Shuttle and Landing crafts
Fun fact: in original lore, Only certain models of star destroyers could actually do in-atmosphere flight.
Normal rule goes based on size and is 1/4 1/8 or 1/16 when ever I go to build some of my ships that's what I normally do at least
You guys should do a star wars battle but this time you must be the empire

At the end of the day, these awesome builds aren't available on console.
PCU is likely too high
Is it mainly made by light or heavy armor blocks. Whats the pcu count?
Good grief that is big. Mine is just an empty husk, although it is bigger than this.

+10 for not being another gun brick
“Do it”
Its 1/6 scale i believe

This is MOST DEFINITELY NOT 'to scale' !
Its MAYBE 1/4 scale at BEST!
