And in the rework lore bread was a small symbol of home and a life he left behind, and admits that his secret dream is to be a baker. Another piece of humanity he holds onto.
Really quick tl:dr of pantheon lore: the entity of “pantheon” was the aspect of war which is basically a god. The god jacked into the body of Atreus, a warrior to use him as he saw fit. The aspect of war, looking for conflict, battled with the Darkin Aatrox where the god was slain. However, Atreus himself survived. The man lived where the god died. Atreus now uses the power of the aspect to show mortal will and strength is stronger than that of gods
Btw,I like to think the song represents his story, the first verse is the god in him on his prime, the intermission is dark and foreboding as aatrox slays the god, and then the rise to glory claiming the aspect of war to himself.
forgot to mention that the god didn't see Atreus worthy of his power and just used him as a body. (most of the aspects work with their hosts, but not this one). which is part of the reason Atreus rage fueled his survival. He saw basically two gods fighting to display power and overcome the other. He became the aspect himself in order to fight that kind of power.
Tbh the pantheon theme is definitely the best one. The song’s various parts represent his journey in the lore as a soldier who was unskilled in battle, but was always capable of willing himself to stand back up after losing every time. He climbed a mountain that allowed someone who reached the peak to commune with the gods, losing his best friend on the way, and was possessed by the god of war when he found him unworthy be his ascended. The part where the vocals fade out represents the carnage the God of War used his body to create until eventually he was slain by Aatrox with a god killing blow. The rise of quiet vocals after shows his reawakening as himself, crawling down a mountain with this not just mortal but immortal injury using nothing but his strength to survive as a human. He recovers from this god-killing blow, and the epic climax represents him standing up yet again from impossible odds. He represents humanity’s struggle between good and evil, god and demons, and declares war on both ascending as the new Pantheon: A man willing to fight against all those who underestimate the value and power of mortals, and to defend them from being used as pawns in their games any longer. Insane how one song can tell that whole story emotionally.
4:30 IMO thats when Aatrox supposedly killed Pantheon. That electric bass sound was a big part of Aatrox’s theme. (Also the later more “hopeful” part signals the return of Atreus which sort of confirms this)
Other way around. The whole song is through Atreus’ possession to when Pantheon was killed, and then when Aatrox was defeated by Atreus. The song starts with his ascent up the mountain, then it moves into the “holy” part of the song (his possession), which ends in Pantheon dying (the singer starts singing again, showing Atreus is in control, the music slows and the instruments fade). Then, he finds Aatrox again, fights with him, and comes out victorious. The producer, and other people who worked on it, has said it was based off his story.
What I love the most in this track is that the first three notes represent Pantheon's previous failures, while the rest of the melody and the song itself represent his perseverance. It doesn't matter how many times he felt, or if the celestials consider him worthy or not, or even what kind of opponents he must face. He will stand and fight no matter what.

And lastly for a masterclass in strings, Samira's theme is the one to hear. Like other comments have said, Ornn, Irelia, Camille and Volibear's theme are also pretty epic.
Joey, here is Pantheon lore for yo: Atreus was one of the Ra'kor (may be pronouncing it wrongly), a proud tribe of warriors that stayed on the bottom of mount Targon (biggest mountain on the world) and they followed the Solari, sun priests, as their leaders. Atreus was a warrior of the Ra'kor, but he wasn't a good one, as he lost most of his fights, yet, with sheer willpower and perseverance, Atreus was able to keep getting up and keep fighting, a thing that got the attention of one of the young warriors in his group of newbies (Cuz he was young), Pylas. Pylas was one of the best warriors and a prodigy, they had faced each other a lot in training, Pylas always won, but it was always Atreus' determination that caught the instructor's eyes. One day the trainees and the veterans that were training them came across a barbarian group that had more then just boys and old men, and they were next to wiped out, except for Atreus and Pylas, the last one had an Axe stuck in his back, yet Atreus carried Pylas back home were they found that the Solari had decided to not take any action against the barbarians, which caused Atreus to lose all faith in them. Later they went to follow a next to suicidal tradition of climbing to the peak of mount Targon (This is considered equal to a death sentence in demacia, one of LoL's regions), yet they followed the tradition of doing it when it they came to age (most people give up or die), yet Atreus and Pylas both managed to get to the peak after a painful climb, however, right after reaching the top Pylas dies in Atreus' arms, and Atreus gets possessed by the aspect of war: Pantheon, who goes to figh Aatrox, an insane suicidal god that kills everything in hope for death. But Pantheon is killed by a strike that reaches the divine, as Aatrox's blade pierces Pantheon's torso, resulting in a big scar, yet Atreus survives, having been taken over by the god Pantheon and his body used as a tool for gods, but now the god died, erased from existence, never able to reappear in the cosmos again, Atreus, seeing the blade through his torso he makes his first true chad move: *He spits on Aatrox's face*. Aatrox leaves Atreus to die with the weapons the Aspect of War (Pantheon) used, but he does not, he takes a measure of shelter in Pylas' house, with his sister, but he soon learns that Aatrox's has been seen, and while the sister disencorages him, Atreus stumbles towards where Aatrox was seen. He finds a massacre, Aatrox is slaughtering some barbarians (perhaps the same that massacred his crew back then), and that's when Atreus realizes: *For the gods, we mortals are just pieces in a chess game, they fight their petty battles and we suffer the consequences, but look at us: We are alive, we fight because we must. WHAT ARE THE GODS COMPARED TO US, COMPARED TO THIS COURAGE?* With his newfound hatred for the divine his weapond light up as he jumps and cuts off Aatrox's sword arm, but as it happens, the sword is Aatrox's true body and his prison (Read Aatrox lore), and so Aatrox dies, the sword staying on the ground while Atreus stands triumphant and the skies light up with a new Pantheon constelation, now the aspect of war reincarnated in a Man
Pantheon represents humanity so when the dude sings he doesn't say a word so anyone can understand the emotion of the song without having a language barrier Honestly pantheon is one of the best champions in league lore and I love him just cuz he is a wholesome badass MF
Great reaction man, so happy you liked this one so much cause it's one of my favs too! lol Too many people don't appreciate just how beautiful it is, most people prefer the more techno/EDM themes or the unique sounding ones, which are also very great but they just do not match the epicness of pantheon's theme! You should check out Aatrox's theme next, him and Pantheon do not get along, to put it lightly lol Basically I think the music in Pantheon's theme shifts like it does to kind of give a feeling related to his relationship with Aatrox. To try and keep it as short as I can, basically "Pantheon" was the Targonian Aspect of War who would claim the bodies of warriors as his own, and he helped to imprison the Darkin Aatrox, the most powerful of them all, during the Darkin wars. But ofc Aatrox couldn't be contained forever and once at least partially free he and Pantheon fought, in which Pantheon the aspect was destroyed. The darker turn in the song I think was to show not only the darker side of Pantheon the aspect who cared not for mortals and would show no mercy on the battlefield, but also the fact that this darker side was slain by an even darker being, Aatrox. But the song upturned to show that Atreus, Pantheon's last mortal vessel, not only survived but basically absorbed what was left of Pantheon's power, and took up the mantle of Pantheon but as a man and not an aspect (basically gods to some people), and decided to champion all mortal beings across the realms. Aatrox's theme though is super cool, very dark and has a couple interesting parts as well.

This is one of the few champion themes where they told the story through the skins, Pantheon is a pretty simple champion story-wise. This was to celebrate his rework ie updating the champion gameplay and character model so it's kind of a new character. But this is one of the few cinematics where they let the themes of the skins influence the music. The vocals dipped down for the titan slayer skin, and electric base chimed in at the zombie slayer skin, then they left the best skin for the climax, the legacy Perseus skin. Epic for sure.

basically, everyone who still ships leo with pantheon have another thing coming, pantheon wants to kill aspects and gods, as gods arent as strong as man.
Technically no, the Aspects he leaves alone, as long as they don't mess with him anymore. He just doesn't want any part in their machinations anymore. What he actively hunts are the Darkin, which are corrupted Ascended. While having many similarities, almost the same tbh, the Aspects are technically not the same as the Ascended. Because the Aspects are celestial spirits that represent something in the Universe and need a host. While the Ascended are just really buffed up humans that became god(ish)-man hybrids and do not embody any kind of celestial power or value.
@@B.Scruby he hates the aspects still. They represent to him mortals that dance on puppet strings of gods, unable to realize their true potential because they have resigned themselves to be their pets.
@@B.Scruby No, HE HATES THE ASPECTS, he is tired of humans being utilized by gods (aspects) and demons (darkin) on his disputes, for him both of them are two sides of the same coin.
actually that observation of pantheon being middle eastern is not bad considering greeks had been living in the middle east from the time of alexander the great until the fall of byzantium plus a lot of years before that trading and coexisting thats almost 2000 years of close interaction so the cultures share quite a few things such as music food and other stuff
Knowing the lore, the music does tell the story very fluidly and vividly. I like how with the grungy part you can actually imagine the epic duel between Pantheon and Aatrox, then with the heroic reprise you can imagine the rise of Atreus as the holder of the aspect of war.
You should check out the theme for Sett, the boss. With a title like that you know his theme is badass. Dude literally became the boss of an underground fight club by punching the crap out of everyone and eventually the previous owners.
The story of pantheon abridged, the boy Atreus was named after a star in the pantheon constalation. The boy was never able to win his fights but never lost as he always got back up and never failed. Atreus and his friend decided to climb the mountain named Targum where at the top you could receive the blessings of what are known as aspects. They are essentially gods. His friend died along the trip but he did not, upon reaching the top the aspect pantheon hated how the boy who never won was the one to make it while his friend didn’t. Aspects are supposed to work with the person that they grant the blessing to but pantheon refused and instead possessed Atreus. During a fight with “Atrox the darken blade” he was ran through and “killed”. The whole constellation pantheon inhabited went dark that day. But the man did not die and the single star that shared his name did not go out either. That is the story of pantheon
Let's go Joey covering up my favorite champion theme, let's gooooo Edit: It seems you haven't reacted to Volibear's theme, if so, I couldn't find it. His theme is also one of the best in my opinion
Atreus is a mortal whose body was possessed by a cosmic entity, which following a fight with another godly entity was slain. Atreus, by sheer mortal will and indomitable resilience, survived, took back control of his body, and basically ascended to godhood in the slain entity's stead, becoming a defender of mortals and adversary of gods.
Joey Nato is like the mrs. frizzle of music production. You think you are just listening to music but next thing you know your exploring the colon of a synthesizer you didn’t even hear. But some how were all ok with this.
During the song, imagine him training with his brother Pylas, always getting back up even after getting beat, eventually they climbing mount Targon together and in the song's "bridge?" his brother dies on the peak and Atreus gets imbued with the Aspect's power.
@@Hentai_Senpa169 I've been asking our boy Joey for an Irelia reaction. Still hoping. Though I main Pantheon and I despise Irelia, but I have to give it to her theme. It's epic as fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk (second to Pantheon, of course, hehe)

*WE WILL SHAKE THE HEAVENS WITH OUR VICTORY*

"The heavens do not fear me because I'm a god, They fear me because I am a man."
He Is THE CHADTHEON
Omg. Yeees! Another league theme
Pantheon and Volibear have the best themes in league no questions asked!
Listen to Volibear next and your eyebrows will grow back
And ornn
Listen to eat and now I have a full grown beard
Listen to Irelia and you'll shoot straight into Challenger.
only one word i can use to describe pantheon:
man.
EPIC!
LEGENDARY!
THIS IS SPARTAAA!!!!
AHOO! AHOO!
actually that observation of pantheon being middle eastern is not bad considering greeks had been living in the middle east from the time of alexander the great until the fall of byzantium plus a lot of years before that trading and coexisting thats almost 2000 years of close interaction so the cultures share quite a few things such as music food and other stuff
Whoa!! First time I've been this early. Love your videos Nato!!
1:38 Close! Pantheon's design is inspired from the ancient greek soldiers, so yeah, you got it kinda right
I died with your reaction to Pantheon cooking skin hahahha
Four hours ago, I was literally scouring this dude's channel for a reaction to Pantheon's theme! LOL.
Knowing the lore, the music does tell the story very fluidly and vividly. I like how with the grungy part you can actually imagine the epic duel between Pantheon and Aatrox, then with the heroic reprise you can imagine the rise of Atreus as the holder of the aspect of war.
You are facing a soldier! Nothing more... and no less.
Finally, the champion theme reaction everyone's been waiting for, thank you 😂
welcome back
You should check out the theme for Sett, the boss.

Wow this was phenomenal joey thanku so much love your incredible reaction thanku so much love and god bless x
Thats my favorite champion theme too....
Yes~! Pantheon theme!
(me still sleepy but getting out of bed just to watch this on the computer with headphones)
Let's go Joey covering up my favorite champion theme, let's gooooo
Edit: It seems you haven't reacted to Volibear's theme, if so, I couldn't find it. His theme is also one of the best in my opinion
He is a Spartan.
I love how epic Pantheon and Volibear theme is. def cinematic
Natos music is great, and I like watching his other stuff, but the league reaction always get me hype
I can't belive you haven't reacted to Project: Hunter theme yet. It's futuristic, epic and gives so much serotonin.
Hear me out, what if the champion’s theme’s hook/chorus plays whenever the ult is used
"The most memorable", well now we know he hasn't heard Volibears theme then
GP's theme to catchy
I'd argue that they're both equally great.
Irelia theme is where its at
@@Hentai_Senpa169 I've been asking our boy Joey for an Irelia reaction. Still hoping. Though I main Pantheon and I despise Irelia, but I have to give it to her theme. It's epic as fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk (second to Pantheon, of course, hehe)
@@Hentai_Senpa169 Indeed. I am suprised there is a surprising lack of recommendation for an Irelia reaction.
My favorite champion theme by far! Amazing
There’s a bunch of skins where champions are different kinds of chefs. Leona’s bbqing, olafs got some meat, alkali makin sushi and pantheons a baker
Please react to ornn's theme, there are 2 version, the login screen version, and one with lyrics with a female voice.
Path to hearth home
I'm pretty sure the vocalist in the theme is supposed to be Nunu's mother.
@@FrostSylph she is singing about a girl wanting to find ornn. Nothing to do with nunu but it would be cool
Panth's theme was composed by Edouard Brenneisen, he has a youtube channel!
