I really think the fireplace in this multi-purpose room still deserves to be renewed. It is a work of masonry art all by itself. Also-who knows exactly how the room will be used in the more distant future. I hope you make it as grand as the one in the kitchen!

Little by little the convent seems to come alive with new life. People will love it, because you put not only hard work, but the attention to detail is amazing.
Hello dear Billy, thank you for being such a wonderful , sane and calming antidote to the chaos happening in the States right now. I come to your channel to watch the unfolding of your project. How hopeful it is to see young people who have a respect for history and architecture. You’re doing an amazing job and it’s always a new discovery. Crack on !
I agree with you. It's wonderful to watch the restoration of such a beautiful building. I also agree with others that The Convent is becoming a building that needs to be restored to the grace and glory of what it once was. Thank You for sharing it with us.

Billy,Mic,Yanis, my team. Wonderful job of demolition. Lots of debris to haul off. Hope you guys have a great weekend. See again on Monday. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🌈🍺🍺🇺🇸😘❤️🌞🕊😇👍🎈🌈🙏🌹
You are all doing a wonderful job with all that needs to be done and completing it beautifully as well. I think that you are doing a great service by restoring that old building and breathing life back into it. Have a great day
Billy, now that your grandparent have been in their newly remodeled home, how are they enjoying it? Always helps to be closer to family. It’s a lovely home. Thinking of them. Krystyna in Northwoods of Wisconsin 🇺🇸
Who doesn’t love the sound of ripping Lino and watching the fun of jumping on the pinx ceilings 😂 Great job guys… Simon 😁🙌 I hope your coming back soon cause we miss you ❤ Ryan where are you ??? Oxoxo
When Billy stands back and inspects something, you can just see those wheels turning. Great job by a great team!! Been watching from day one, never missing a video and leaving a like and looking forward to what is to come!
Thanks for the vlog billy , u are sure moving on getting all done before Simon comes back, can you tell us all where Ryan is , are just lets us know he is ok please xxx
I love your Dad, Billy he has a very strong work ethic, way to go guys ! You never know what you find below, above or behind a wall , ceiling or floor. right ?
I can't remember whether I congratulated you on achieving half a million subscribers. You are amazing! Well done! Can drywall be recycled? Can it be broken down into it's component parts and reused? I've become interested in what can and cannot be recycled. See you on Monday!
🇨🇦👋 As I watch Dad working along, I can’t help but hope to be there when I grow up. At 65 I continue to solely responsible for much of the big work @ home.
Wow this channel is amazing ! Only started watching a few weeks ago, so a bit of catching up to do...oh my goodness, i can only imagine how much $$$ have gone into this beautiful reno...and the time...mind blown
@MLiss0001 Everything he has done is AD worthy! I would never refuse having Billy as my home restorer!! Actually, he's so much more than that but I do know he's the number one "Preserver!!"
Hello from Memphis. With all the remodeling and all the things being brought in it looks like you are running out of room 😬😬😬.just kidding love the progress... Crack on
Billy what makes you think I wouldn't enjoy watching you do admin stuff? It's not what you do, it's how you do it, that's why I watch. Have a great weekend.
Great video as always, amazing work ethic. Have you ever considered, during your introduction to the days tasks, giving a visual orientation as to the room you are working on? Sometimes it is difficult to understand what room you are in and how it connects to the other rooms. Just a suggestion.
What's happening at the Chateau? I thought Michael was going to continue to document the progress there? How is the kitchen progressing and did you ever find matching tiles? Miss seeing what's happening.
I was wondering if all that dust could cause a health problem? I look forward to each episode. Greetings from South Africa. risk now because you are all young and healthy but I wonder if it will cause problems in later years.
Gifts, I like that :) Yanis can put anything together, I wish he lived near me, it took a month to put together my entertainment unit. Thanks for sharing, enjoy your day.
I can’t be the only one wishing you guys were better about wearing masks/respirators, especially when doing the super extra dusty demolition work. Keep it up and sooner than later your catchphrase will need a revision to ‘Hack On!’
I have been happily watching your channel since the beginning. I think the room you’re working on now with the big fireplace would make a better “lobby“ or main entrance to whatever the convent eventually becomes. If it was a hotel, that narrow hallway between the beautiful kitchen and the beautiful dining room is very nice but it’s still a hallway. Whatever you decide to do with it… I’ll be there watching.
I’m always fascinated by the almost-but-not-quite the same techniques in France/UK vs what I would see/do in the US. In the US, we just order up a “dumpster” and put it in the driveway. (Car park?) a dumpster is a one-per-truck trash can. We drop stuff out the windows and into the dumpster. We use bags for grass clippings and that’s it. But it does make sense to see how you guys do it. Truth is, most demolition jobs are done a piece at a time. It could totally fit in a bag. Hmmmm… Fun to watch your progress.
Billy (or Stan?) has said that dumpster hire is particularly expensive in their part of France, and they also have strict waste separation rules to abide by.
@ Ouch$ okay. 👍 I did hear that scaffolding is high enough that it would blow my mind. I’m so tempted by the 30,000 old country houses laying around over there. But I learn something every time I watch one of these. And I cannot imagine a house older than… older than the US in a lot of cases. Still. So cool to watch and learn.
The convent breathes a sigh of relief to all the 1970's modifications. What a gorgeous heritage site of beauty and history to restore. Bravo Billy
I agree! 😍 I'm "smitten" just looking at the exterior stone walls in the courtyard!!! Incredible stonework! 😍😍😍

Those linoleum were so ugly...
My heart smiled! I hope to see them refinished. I hope Billy tells us the kind of wood...oak....???

Billy, please get the elevator fixed. Poor Yanis is going to get hurt carrying everything backwards up those stairs.

All that heavy lumber that was on the ceiling was crazy. The building is heaving a sigh of relief.
I'm surprised Yanis hasn't broken a window with his demo so far. 🤣
