Are you pro lawbreaking? bc it sounds like that's exactly what you're advocating for. How would you feel if your house was broken into? Would you still be pro lawbreaking? I doubt it. Pick up a law book and educate yourself.

@404errorcodeV one thing I can tell you fir certain that I'm pro breaking....laws that don't honor God Almighty, AKA Jesus Christ, absolutely should be broken because those are laws of men, not laws of our Messiah.

I am not opposed to the mere depiction of diverse families. "Billy's parents are men" - ok. I'm not opposed to older children and teens reading books with more mature content.
That's not what started this off. Parents called out books with egregiously inappropriate content that was far from age appropriate. The response by people who are so eager to make these books available is an infuriating one that shuts down the debate and glues the lid closed. In conservative states books are then scrutinized without flexibility.
This is the usual route, that almost always ends up with the removal of far more books than the ones in question:
Step 1. Addressing complaints about books - Lie. "What books with inappropriate sexual content?"
Step 2. Accusations of bigotry. After being shown the book and read specific passages, the parents who complained are accused of being bigots. No apology for the lie of course.
This exasperating cycle is repeated over and over.
I know some people will disagree with my opinion that depiction of LGBT family members is acceptable, but a lot of people who prefer LGBT content wasn't there at all might let it slide if the family goes on picnics and birthday parties (just like any other family) and doesn't contain explicit sexual acts.
The people who are so eager provide inappropriate books to young children invite the additional controversy and scrutiny. If what they're trying to do (they claim) is show that LGBT families exist, they ultimately end up with ALL books, no matter how mundane, removed.
They need to take responsibility for the lies and insults and the outcome that deprives children of books that may show families like theirs.
Was this book removed from all libraries or just school libraries? If so, it's not a book ban and hence a misrepresentation of the issue.

C'mon man get a grip. The 🌈 came as a promise from God to never wipe mankind out with a flood again and the rainbow brigade you are so seemingly tolerant of shouldn't be allowed around children at all.
Adults should keep their immorality in check (private) way better.
