- Motorcycle trip of one week to the Italian Dolomites on Honda Transalp XL700V and Africa Twin CRF1000L (DCT), September 2020. Started in Kempten, Germany, through Austria to San Leonardo in Passiria and then 3 days in Colfosco.
I came for the bike, I stayed for the scenery!
Transalp 600 - 650 - 700, wonderful little great motorbikes...
I love my old 2001 Transalp...it's my go-to bike every time 👍

Bedankt voor delen, ben net bezig met kijken en heb meteen vraag ; Waar hadden jullie aanhanger gestald in Kempten ? Heb het gevonden Smart Hotel Kempten Edisonstraße 4, 87437 Kempten (Allgäu), Duitsland
Klopt, je kan het zien bij de start (0:46) en aan het eind als we terug komen (bij 38:00). Dit was de tweede keer dat we dit hotel en de garage als startpunt gebruikten. Het is eenvoudig, schoon, goed bereikbaar vanaf de snelweg en er is een restaurant op de hoek.
@@gjdezzo1628 Dank reactie, wij hebben voor route Grand Alpes dit eens gedaan bij Hotel Engel in Gutach ( Zwarte Woud) Hier de eerste en laatste nacht door gebracht. Ideaal

The Africa Twin is the better one but mainly because it’s a much newer design than the Transalp. It has a more modern equipment like ride-by-wire, traction control, better suspension, ride modes and last but not least a 1000cc engine with 95 HP instead of 60 for the Transalp. But all that comes with a price: a second hand Transalp is much cheaper than a Africa Twin.

Unfortunately the Timmelsjoch Motorcycle Museum as shown in the video from 3:42 went up in flames on 18 January 2021. Disaster!
