Reiki practitioners are not interfering or “meddling” with anyone’s energy, Reiki is universal life force energy that is naturally intelligent, if the person is not open to receive reiki, then it simply wont be and that’s okay too. I believe reiki finds you and is not forced on you or anyone as it is always for the highest and greatest good. When done with loving intention, a reiki practitioner does not believe they are healing the person but simply being a channel for them to do their own healing, in turn not operating from a place of ego but love. The idea that there are risks to reiki comes from a place of fear and that fear is being enforced on such a beautiful healing modality. What a shame, I disagree strongly.
He is not saying your intentions are wrong. He clearly told you are not aware of the totality of what is being done. A person has good loving intentions of healing people does that mean he can go and perform surgeries.. lol
When you say you are being a channel , it simply means you are taking their stuff. Water flows through some medium, the medium absorbs content too.

I am practicing Original traditional Reiki started in Japan. My reiki teacher always tells us that it is important we clean our own energy first because the universal Reiki energy goes through our body to the patients ; therefore, our body is considered as a pipe for the reiki to go through to the patients. So, we meditate everyday and make sure to clean and heal our own body and mind. We also study and practice mindfulness to have a healthy non judgmental mind. The founder of Reiki was a Japanese monk who studied buddhism. Practicing healthy mindful living lifestyle is a must for the real reiki practitioner.

In our native american culture, we have to do these practices because of the skinwalker spirit that the natives had manifested,... if it gets in you, you cannot control yourself and need someone to drive it out... It has to be did.

I m a Reiki Grand master and i know that Reiki is a soothing healing process healingcphysically, and emotionslly. I dis agree that we r playing God with gloves on
.We r attuned to the Usui Reiki Symbols in order to access the Universal life force energy for the benefit of all. Reiki is a boon to us, we do not take the negative karma of others. Once again we are only reiki channels,we dont give energy to others, but our clients draw energy from usas much as he or she wants.. We owe our gratitude to our Guru, Dr Mikau Usuiji.

Reiki stimulates systems within a person's body to heal itself. It is only juvenile to not acknowledge that, but a good practitioner knows and educates their clients to this.

I disagree with what this man is saying. The first time I healed someone, it wasn’t something I just decided to do. A feeling came over me and instruction as to what to do. A friend was said to have only 3 hrs left to live. I felt an extreme tingling in my fingertips and urgent message came to me to place my hands on him and pray. Energy came down from the top of my head and out from my hands into this person that was unconscious. He recovered and lived another 15 years. It wasn’t something I set out to do; it just happened and after that, when my fingertips started tingling, I knew I was supposed to help, and did. Each case is different. Sometimes in the presence of someone gravely I’ll, there’s no sensation in my fingertips. That lets me know that I’m not to do anything.
wow amazing, and I do believe also, when i feel mybody isn't feeling well (flu and cough) I'm doing reiki twice , and its like miracle tomorrow after that my disease are gone, totally completely. before know reiki I need to take rest/heal my self minimum 4-7 days, with medicine.

Karma is something people from a particular culture believe. Most people on earth don’t because it’s a alien concept.
People who get Reiki sessions say they felt guided to it. That’s karma.
They also say it improves their lives. That’s karma too.
Also, Reiki is the fastest growing, easiest to learn self help system in the world. Why? Because people see improvements in their lives from using it. That’s more good karma.
Since Reiki is the energy of the universe and this DIVINE Energy can ONLY do what is in the best interest of the person, how can something that ONLY works for the highest good be wrong?
Remember it is the energy that does the work, not the reiki practitioner AND the Energy is Divine.

Sadhguru himself has offerings where he trains common people to heal others. Nothing wrong with that. We are all interfering in each other's karma and distorting them by simply co-existing in the same universe. Does that mean that doctors should stop healing sick patients? Should I stop talking to my friends and neighbours because what I say and do may influence their energies? If the healing is consensual, my intuition says there is nothing wrong with it (provided that the healers are properly trained and take precautions to keep themselves safe as well).
When we do sadhana we are working with our Karma .reiki deals with others .
Following his advice, no one should even speak, because words are vibrational frequencies and cause emotions (positive or negative), these emotions alter the energetic system of the person that has listened, but,for some reason, he speaks a lot...
In Reiki we are invoking Universal Life force and pray that one may be healed, whole and complete And end the prayer saying that Thy Will Be Done. One is not trying to play Divine here but is surrendering the fruits of the prayer to Divine Will.

Truth 100% -- the person channeling and the one receiving -- both should first acknowledge that the universal life force energy is not different from the divine, but a part of it.
As such, given the intention of gratitude and patience in mind, the channelling of Reiki is not outside or somehow separate from Divine Will.
Ah yes! The healer is but a channel. The healing is by the divine. I think there’s a little spiritual gatekeeping/ego going on here. If energy healing were not meant to exist it would not. It’s safe to say every spiritually advanced being could practice energy healing. Pranic Healing is from the same higher teacher as Reiki but has protections for the healer. I’m not versed in Reiki but as i understand that’s a big difference.

As a Reiki practitioner, I love Reiki, I love holding that space for others & myself. I definitely believe it's important when you hold space for others as the 'healing practitioner' it is very important to detach yourself from your clients & people you connect with. I believe it's the same in any industry example ~ Homicide police detective not getting attached to a victim of crime, OR a paediatrician not getting attached to a child patient. ~ it is a shared space where a offering / modality is provided with the highest intention & great care.
When taught in-depth knowledge of Reiki or any other Energy healing service you learn much on this. Not to be the 'wounded healer' who becomes attached to the outcomes & success of the people you have shared healings with
I believe it's just important for people to be knowledgable about their offerings & take good consideration into self awareness & protection.
You can burn yourself out from doing healings as a job, Just as easy as you can burn yourself out from having an office job.
In Reiki & Energy Healing modalities you are not giving your energy & you are not taking someone else's energy. So a transfer of karmic issues cannot be exchanged from practitioner to client.
I believe Sadhguru has a lot of wisdom to share with the world & I enjoy it listening to what he has to say.
However on Reiki itself it seems there's a lack of knowledge, but with the knowledge he does have he obviously recommends against it. Which is absolutely fine.
I feel important for all listeners from any of these videos, Yes listening to wisdom is important to broaden your own perspective, & No it doesn't all have to always resonate with you
I think for people to learn or experience a reiki healing session they will be drawn to it by the Devine with Devine timing. It cannot be forced upon people & I think as a conscious person you will know when / if it is ever for you or not. It's no pressure it';s only completely simple & natural.

i did not read all your comment, i just scanned them through but i think this comment has nothing to do with what he said in regards to from what i understand Sadh Guru is saying the reki or any other healers are denying people suffering because they are healing them so well but that suffering is supposed to happen to them in order for them to learn from it and shape their life path and they become who they are because of this suffering. Well that being said i 100% agree with sadh guru but I read that without the god's intention not even a single leaf of a tree blows the way he wants it to blow (move) so, may be he wants reki healers to heal these souls and in that case i'd have to disagree with Sadh Guru and side with the reki healers or any other healers .. . . the doctors are saving the dead people for ages who are suppose to remain dead . . . so reki away i dont know, i came here to start a reki career and this videos was very demoralizing :( :P anyway . .. life goes on

Reiki practitioners are channels. The person receiving reiki has to go through their karma, reiki can help ease the suffering. Much like a person has cancer, it's their karma, the doctor intervenes will medicines...to help ease the suffering.. reiki practitioners are lifelines to those who benefit from the positive energies.. ❤
Reiki n all may work with some people.... but popular wisdom is that it's some kind of pseudo science.... you people give a different meaning to Energy.... not proved in science....but you guys ... just get it....universal life force... simple right.....

Having a big name & fame doesn't entitle anyone to speak publicly about certain non conventional topics where the knowledge or exposure it is limited. With all due respect, it clearly shows that Sadhguru indeed has some limited exposure to the healing modality of Reiki. This kind of statement creates more confusion among people.

Infact none has any knowledge on reiki including the reiki practioners themselves. Reiki is a strange path of healing which is called a healing modality. It's not a spiritual exercise or any sort of established energy work. Modality is one, and a spiritual path is different.
There are billions of other healing variants, shamanic healing, feng shui...and etc. Which are just different forms of healing modalities that someone has tried and have passed on. They compete and come side by side with reiki...all referring to small branches of healing
Where as indian spirituality establishes ground up science, abt how and what energy can do to you. It considers your karmic essence, being, and so much more...all the way upto tantra. Tantrik practices don't even acknowledge reiki.
Possibly Sadhguru knows this..and hence replled it. People become reiki grandmasters in 2 yrs... Really?

Dear Sadguru, I have never come across you before now. From my own experience as a Reiki practitioner and teacher I can verify that I have never ever told any client that I can heal them. The Reiki practitioner is a channel for healing to take place. Each person has to take on the responsibility to heal themselves you can not do it for them. Reiki and energy modalities are ancient practices. If someone concerned about taking on others karma they are not practicing Reiki. They are acting out of fear and worry. If someone consents to a Reiki hands on session, from my own experience, both the giver and receiver benefit and feel refreshed and energised. Everything is karma. We are given what we need just as your disciples come to you for advice. You are yourself are influencing karma. You could also be denying someone the benefit of Reiki if they take everything you say as the gospel without thinking and trying for themselves if it is of any benefit.
Perfectly said! I get really tired of ppl speaking down of Reiki, the ones that judge it have not studied it and don’t understand what it is meant to do. While I appreciate the wisdom of some gurus, the true guru is found within ones self.

I hate to say it but I completely agree. I am a huge fan of reiki.
Gosh, l haven't read something so accurate. I also wondered why does he meddle with people's processes with his advice and opinions. No one should advise us on diets and nutrition, self care, healing etc.

This is why healers need to work on themselves in such a way that healing themselves equals healing others just by default. The new era of healers don’t perform healing. They’re just being themselves and those in their presence are healed if they so choose.

I think you don’t understand what reiki is.
Reiki can cause no harm. That is a basic truth. It is used only when asked for, and it is remarkably effective. Sadguru’s opinion on this is just that. His opinion.
What i personally feel like is he is asking us to stop doing something without having any clarity of what we are doing. A person afraid of getting karmic patterns while healing others using reiki has not yet fully understood about it. So without knowing something fully it's best not to heal others. Begin with yourself first.
There have been studies showing benefits of Reiki on hospital patients. We used Reiki in the hospital I worked in after surgeries. One of our surgeons had a Reiki practitioner in the OR during cardiac surgeries.

Last 18 years I am practicing Reiki, it is very safe, non invading.
One is not suppose to heal people unless went through a full spiritual awakening and was guided to be a healer, else we meddle with people live’s when we shouldn’t.
@@Drothen- That's the same as claiming that you're meddling in someone's life by giving them aspirin or insulin. You're free to help anyone you wish, if the healing isn't meant to occur then it simply won't take place. Your ego doesn't have the power to override someone else's Higher Self, and anyone who does healing work was already "guided to be a healer" by virtue of the fact that they're even attempting it. The important principle there is to be accepting of whatever does or doesn't happen, and don't try to give your own ego credit for doing the healing.

I’ve been a reiki practitioner for over 10 years now and have been told by many I’ve helped them tremendously. My karma is good my energy is positive and I have many blessings in my everyday life. I’m sorry you disagree.

Just because a person becomes famous, talks to all the celebrities, and appears on all the talkshows and builds ashrams, it doesn’t mean that he is a spiritual master. Even though he may look like one, act like one and talk like one. I hope people understand this one day. Sadhguru says energy healing interferes with someones karma , and this is against the divine will, and bunch of people who don’t have an in-depth experiential level of knowledge of energy healing believe him. History of human kind is filled with great master of spirituality who have all been energy healers and taught energy healing. Jesus Christ, Lord Budhi satva Mei ling, Yogananda ji and more… yet a self proclaimed guru comes and dismisses it all out of ignorance. Thankfully under the comments it is obvious many people don’t believe what he said.

Nha, what he says is right its just that we don’t look at it from his angle, he says that whoever wasn’t meant to be a healer, shouldn’t be a healer as simple as that.
Unless one went through a full spiritual awakening and was guided by spirit to take the path of healer, they shouldn’t do healing because then they mess with other people’s spiritual paths and what they are supppose to go through, and maybe be healed, by actual people who were meant to be healers and benefit each other in some mysterious ways in the process.
I was missing this bigger picture myself, until the angels explained this to me, meditate on it, ask the divine to provide you insight on this matter it will help clear up confusion.

I truly admire Sadguru for his great wisdom but in this case I differ. For performing any such practice of energy healing one needs to first practise proper spiritual detox. Only when one feels healed and whole then only they are ready to heal others. That is why I take good learning from all gurus but don't follow anyone blindly. Always filter every information through your own body's wisdom and see if it is coming from the place of love and light or maybe lack of awareness or ego of anyone.

As a Reiki Practitioner and also a Doctor, I can say that the same way, I can’t prescribe a medicine or perform a surgery on someone by force - even if it’s for their own good - I can’t use Reiki or any sort of Holistic treatment without the permission of the client.
(What if the person is in danger but in coma, and obviously can’t give permission?
There are specific ways to circumvent that. It can work or not).

The problem is when you start messing with others free will, offering “healings” when they don’t ask for anything - this applies to Reiki or any other practice or rituals.

I believe that a person will be healed when they are entitled to be healed. It will not become a part of the healer’s responsibility unless the healing was done without consent. Energy healers are just like medical doctors. If a person is entitled to be healed they will come across a modality that will heal them either it is energy healing or the traditional way of healing.

I’m conflicted. I have a lot of respect for Sadhguru, but my experience with reiki has been positive. Especially when paired with sound.
Now, if you think it’s going to solve all your problems you will be disappointed. I don’t think it can clear your ‘karma’ . It might move some stagnant energy, but that energy will return if you don’t meditate and work on yourself and your distortions. But, I feel it’s a lot easier to work on myself when I’m not distracted by constant discomfort. Sometimes when blockages move it’s easier to understand what’s bringing them back. I have upmost respect for Sadghuru. He has a valid point, it’s important that you do not interfere with soul free will. Moreover after 22 years working in the holistic & spiritual arena field I see so many people whom are giving reiki and energy healing that are not cleansing their energy field correctly nor working on themselves. There needs to be more education on this. Everyone is unique in their healing journey and some energies need to stay as part of your higher good.
i agree with what you said about "not working on themselves". many who say they are healers but actually need a lot of healing themselves. it's difficult to be a clear channel for healing energy when one is in that state.

Contrary to the comments saying reiki is safe,this was not my experience.I was made very ill for many weeks after being initiated into using reiki. It was awful.I now advise people to be wary of who they receive it from and who they are taught by.

I believe that his quote is being misunderstood. He is looking at it from the position of a Ascended Master who knows that he has the power to Heal himself. However not everyone is at this stage of development yet and need assistance along the path until such a time when they can heal themselves.

@@Llucius1 I'm extremely intimate with pain. I got run over by a Van November 2014 and fractured my ankles and shin's and wrecked my lower back shoulder and neck. I've dealt with pain from it for a decade. Pain is a powerful indicator that something is wrong. However once you get into pinched and damaged nerves the pain never stops. Each case is unique and different. The pain belongs to the patient and is none of your concern. If you would have given me your lame "Pain is Important" Speech 10 years ago? I would have knocked your teeth out and told you to shut up.
It's also important to consider that if you have the capacity to heal and someone crosses paths with you IS FOR A REASON. Life doesn't happen randomly and if a person needs, and is ready to be healed, it's probably because that person has overcome, or ready to overcome, that Karma load on himself and all you're doing is channeling this divine will to heal that person. I think refusing to channel this divine light to the ones who ask directly from you is a type of egoistic act based on fear. Whoever is ready to heal will heal, whoever is not won't.

Reiki is a healing modality that is safe and does not ‘meddle’ with people’s energies. In Reiki we draw upon the Universal Life force and simply pass it on to the recipient of Reiki. We cannot and will never absorb any of the karmic energies from the recipient because it is a one way flow.. Infact as we give Reiki to someone, we also get healed in the process. I believe that the life force energy comes from the throne of the creator and we simply facilitate to pass it on. Reiki practitioners are not healers, just facilitators. There are other forms of energy healing and Sadhguru ji is probably referring to those. But Reiki is not what he is talking about, Reiki is simple and gentle, and the only role of a Reiki practitioner is to facilitate the process…the healing and energy balancing happens because of the Universal Life force…and not us. So there no question of meddling with the energies etc. That is different from Reiki and yes should not be ventured into. 🙏🏻
When guidance and teaching is necessary it is not meddling. As an indigo energy shaman, reiki master etc. I guide and teach others how to reconnect to nature and source.. that their true healer is within. True healing only occurs when one is ready. And true healing is defined in many ways... a full cure is misunderstood as well. But finding ones unique balance in life is key. Mind body and spirit healing and balance is unique to the individual.. that is healing. Most true shaman are not perfect beings but know how to balance their own challenges uniquely, thus can help others find their own.
I’ve been a Reiki Master for 10 years. That is not what Reiki is. It’s simply helping the chakras to be in alignment. As a yoga teacher Christian’s teach the doing yoga lets demons come into their bodies. 😂 would Sadguru. Agree that yoga lets demons enter their bodies? Demonizing is a way to scare people from leaving “your Thing” and have control over people! Seriously I’ve been told by Christians that yoga is if the devil! That the yoga poses were created to allow demon spirits to enter the body which is exactly what Sadguru says about Reiki. BTW Reiki is a Japanese healing modality. Every person I’ve ever given a treatment to had amazing experiences!
Well... a few things.
1. "Without knowing the person's whole life history" - Um... do you guys interview people and learn their whole life histories at Isha? Because if not... then... aren't you doing the same thing?
2. If your answer to 1. is, "We teach them how to fix their own lives, we don't fix their lives...", then, a lot of Reiki healers do the same. Not all healers are juvenile and egotistical (although yes some can be, we agree). In fact, in ALL energy and spiritual healing, it's best to summon the relevant entities which are anyway guiding the person before you arrived at the scene, and ask them to do what's best for the person. That doesn't seem like "meddling". But yes, there are some people who do "meddling".
3. Lastly, it can be said that mature and neutral spiritual healers and Reiki healers do the same thing that Isha does, which is to activate a person's own ability to heal themselves (sounds like what Inner Engineering would be too). There's a saying, which has now been overused, but here it is: A healer doesn't heal you. A healer activates the ability within you to heal yourself. AKA GOD, which you're referring to in this video as "gone into you".

It has helped release trapped energy to allow positive energy to flourish. Reiki is pure love and light. Follow your heart and intuiton. Every guru is just a person like you are a person. Dont take everything they say as the word of god.

I disagree. Reiki is a natural form of healing. Using the universal energy that is so abundant. Reiki practitioners are not playing God but simply a vessel from which the energy flows. Laying hands on someone. What harm can come if this. It is a beautiful experience that can heal. Ego is not involved. We simply get out of the way and let reiki do what it needs to do. I wonder if you my friend have experienced it. I have benefitted greatly from treatments and it has led me to a spiritual awakening. We have our own journeys, why put down something that can benefit. Reiki is also not something that can be forced on someone. The person has to get to a point of evolution where they seek it out. I agree with most everything you say but for this you need to consult the universe.

I agree. Reiki practitioners are purely channeling the energy, and the person receiving is the healer, not the Reiki practitioner. We are the messengers, open to receive from Source, and we share with whoever is called to us. We trust the process, we trust the energies will go wherever they are needed, be it mind, body, spirit, emotions, past, present and future, for our clients. It is the laying on of hands, and delivering healing love, sharing love, sharing sacred space.

I believe it is correct that Sadhguru has spoken at the WEF, however I believe he has stated that he couldn’t participate because he realized once getting up there and speaking from his heart that the others were getting up and speaking a script. I heard this on another talk when he referenced it.

I think a huge aspect isn't just the taking on of the patient's karma but that sometimes you may relieve someone of a certain amount of whatever termoil they are in but that doesn't necessarily cure them of the actions they are taking in life that brought them to that place so there a chance they could fall right back into the same issue and keep using reiki as the solution rather than doing the work needed to be solid in themselves and no longer need the reiki.

@@melita7853 Like a medication can be abused, so can things like reiki/energy healing. Energy healing may be easier to rely too much on because there aren't intense adverse reactions and incessive addictions that can be formed to it like with medications, but yes it can be relied upon too much, distracting one from realizing where they may have more power than they thought or from doing work they can be doing themselves. I will note that I said "sometimes" in my previous comment in reference to people over using or misusing energy healing modalities.
I'm thinking it is better to teach one to overcome themselves then...or at least reiki must be accompanied with that guidance and teaching. Energy work is mental...as everything starts as a thought. When I'd went to Bible school, we had a healing session. Before you could go I to the healing room, you were instructed about mental state and making life changes. That the healing would only stay if you'd kept faith and basically made a way to keep the healing true. Id literally seen a leg grow out before my eyes. That's when I really realized that belief and miracles are real and it's up to the believer...but faith and works go hand in hand. All energy work is the same...you must conquer the thoughts and actions to either create the healing or maintain the healing received.
I will go by Sadguru's advice and never go to a Reki practioner. Jai Ho Sadguru.
He should also make a video about how humans take precious stones and crystals from the Earth, claiming they need the energy more then our Mother Earth. Mother needs her energy much more then the humans here.
It's based on responsible use. When the Stone has fulfilled its purpose you put it back to the earth. Where it belongs. Everything comes from the Earth.
Watch till the end, Sadhguru is neither prohibiting nor shaming the practice of Reiki. He is saying that: unless you truly become the embodiment of Life and Creation itself, you shouldn't mess with other people's energy.
We may think that we are helping other people heal, but sometimes people just don't need/want our help, or they are too weighed down by their past karma to be released at this moment. Either way, do you really think that you know what is best for them?
There are many healers out there who try to heal others, while deep down they haven't truly healed themselves yet. They haven't integrated their own Darkness and accepted their true nature. And thus, as they try to heal others, some of their own negative energies get unconsciously passed on to others. And once you (even unconsciously) affect other people's energy in a negative way, it will be one of the worst types of Karma you will have done in this lifetime.
There is a quote that I truly like: "A healer is not someone you go to for healing. A healer is someone that triggers within you, your own ability to heal yourself."
Learn, study, read, pratice, self-experience are the answer....

Karma means action. If you go to a doctor, it’s your karma. If you feel better after that’s also your karma. Still a doctor works on the Anamayakosha (food-body) but not really with deeper layers of the body like the pranamayakosha, if a reiki healer tries to work on the pranamayakosha (energy body) irresponsibly, it will have an way way deeper affect on the healers sanchitta karma and the one that gets healed. If somebody doesn’t have 100% understanding of the source this can (even with the best intentions) go into a direction you wouldn’t want it to go.

When you believe in reiki healing and grateful too of getting the healing, it will heal you. Acknowledge it and believe in the process. I have done it to myself and feel so great. I always do self reiki healing at least once a week or May be once a month.
When you first start Reiki 1 class, they will tell you to only practice on yourself! So self reiki is awesome! We also receive Reiki healing when we do it to others.

One doesn't need a middle man to experience Father_Mother God Goddess. It is your unique relationship with the Divine. Paramahansa Yogananda calls it the "Divine Romance."
You just have to live in your heart space with kindness and compassion to all sentient beings . That is Reiki, Sufism, Shamanism, Sri Vaishnavam , Shintoism or any path which has its heart open.
While i fully understand what he's saying and why he's saying it, it seems like a harsh warning. My understanding of reiki and such things is that a healer never really heals anyone directly, but can give of a vibe that allows another person to heal themselves. Personally i'd never attempt it, but he must have seen a few terrible things to give such a warning

“Terrible” things can happen even in surgeries performed by experienced doctors. Reiki is Universal life force energy flowing thru the practitioner, he/she is simply a conduit for the client to heal themselves. Simply choose wisely who to receive from.

Reiki is intelligent Universal life force energy that knows the life plan of a person and as long as you leave the intention of the healing to be for the persons highest good only, you will NOT be changing their Karma or life path. But to use Reiki with intentions like, "Please save my dying husband" or "Please take away this person's pain" does open you up to takingcan on the Karma of that person. ALSO People who learn Reiki should receive more instruction than a weekend. We teach Reiki 1 & 2 over 6 weeks. And teach grounding and shielding as base concept to protect everyone involved. The client and the practitioner. Like someone with a scalpel, you can heal with it, or hurt with it. It takes the right teachings.

It's not because she does Reiki that she is in and out of hospital. Reiki has nothing to do with her health. Reiki is universal energy that a practitioner uses to assist a person in various ways. It can also be distant healing.

I have been doing Reiki for 8 years now and I’m a Reiki Master Teacher! There is nothing you can do to harm anyone as you are simply a vessel for healing to occur through you to help another! There are divine beings, angels guides that work with the practitioners energy to help someone else through us practitioners! We are not the healers but a vessel! He is not saying, "it's dangerous so don't do it." He's saying, "it's dangerous, so it's foolish to do it without full information and understanding of what you're working on and with."
There are incredible surgeons out there, but you wouldn't just grab a scalpel and start hacking at someone without understanding the intricacies of organs, veins, etc.
It's not enough to know reiki alone. Know meridians, acupuncture points, ayurvedic & other eastern medicinal practices along with basic general human anatomy on a material level, etc. All of these play a part in sound, responsible energy healing.
And CLEANSE, CLEANSE, CLEANSE. Just like an athlete will break down if they don't stretch before and after workouts, energy healers will destroy themselves if they are not properly cleansing their space and bodies before and after sessions. We're like the Madame Curie's of the spirit realm...don't give yourself radiation poisoning.
Reiki is safe.
Without any spiritual protection it is very dangerous. I know a reiki teacher dead only three week before he try to exorcise ghosts.

Lately, I have been struggling with this. Should I no longer be helpful to people so I do not interfere with their karma? By nature, I always try to share anything I’ve learned or ways to make things easier for people. But now I am afraid that it isn’t good to do so.
Don't be afraid. Inmerse in the process, learn to discern and respect everyone's journey. Namaste
He is "essentially" saying that people who are scared that they can take on other people's karma shouldn't do reiki. But people who do reiki because they are compassionate human beings who want to help their fellow humans, should do reiki (as long as they are trained). If you remain afraid then it is probably best for you not to practice reiki. But if you can take off your metaphorical gloves and embrace the wonder of reiki with compassion and a pure heart then definitely carry on
Don't do something if you are not sure , when a person ask , there will always be an answer when the time is right.
But what if your guru says that you can heal yourself and instructs that you do this which is not routine practice of hatha yoga? What do you think about that?
A very advanced guru of yoga taught me Reiki and teach Reiki to others. Please don't misrepresent such a pure science.

Are medics also playing God by manipulating karma I wonder? I think any help to anyone can ultimately be considered as such. I think people should use their brain with any help but also they should follow their heart and calling. I think helping each other is a big part of our mission here
You wash your hands with cold water to clean their energy off of you. You aren’t playing God, you are just a channel for God’s energy.
After getting my Reiki certificates, I was drawn to working on people for a short time and then the desire just stopped. If anything, it has helped me on my own journey of self healing but it is the responsibility of the individual to heal themselves. I no longer practice Reiki and that's just a personal decision. I am going to do massage to help people relax but its not my job to heal anyone.
