The reason why that shopping center is there, it’s because it was there before the twin towers fell. And after everything happened and the memorial was built the shopping center remains. The shopping center was always there prior to 9/11 happening. So I can see how it would look really odd for a shopping center to be across from the Memorial. It’s always been there from before

I'm confused because my reference to Lydia being an honorary Jamaican had nothing to do with the dialect spoken across the Caribbean diaspora or anywhere else in the world. My comment was based on my observation that Lydia was singing word for word the lyrics to songs recorded by JAMAICAN dancehall artists.

Shout out to those nyc recommendations and new friends who took you around, they surely did you right! Even I had to take notes of some of the places you visited. I realized u didnt make it to Woodland, and went to Amarachi instead. Make sure to visit again in the summer and go to Woodland and Piquant. Its super lit for brunch! Great vlog!
