Excellent video. I was given a bromeliad today and this is the 7th or 8th care video I’ve watched. This is by far the most comprehensive and easiest to understand. Thank you very much! 🌱
@@peppercat8718 Sadly, it did not make it. Someone gave it to me, and it was very distressed, and they weren’t sure if it was going to live. I’m glad I found this video and learned something. So I didn’t feel like I contributed to its demise. I wanted to give it the right kind of care to give it a chance, but I t was too far gone. I hope yours is doing well! 🪴
@@lionessm235 Bummer, I just received 2 as gifts a couple of weeks ago, so they are still doing well, but not sure how long they will survive either, I am just crossing my fingers 🤞LOL
I see a few people have commented on the music. I don't think the music is that distracting except for the volume. So lower it about two more levels I would because the information you're giving is what we all really want to hear. 🤗
I'd jsut like two say that like the bromeliads, you are blooming! Thanks for the tip! I had been starting to take care of 2 varieties of bromeliad and it never bloomed in 6 yrs. Probably because I just tied it on driftwood without any cover or anything. I'll try this method this year.
The white stuff is perlite. And you just basically carefully pull the pup away from the mother, grasping it as far down at the base of (of the pup) as possible, and gently pull it off the mother. Pot it up as shown and give it a generous watering (soil and plant).
bromeliads are such a gorgeous, one of a kind type of flower. I wanna get one now 💗💗

Thank you for the positive comments! Happy planting!
How is your plant doing? I just got one today too. This is the first video I found, I think it's easy to understand too 😃

Thanks for the video - I also watched a handful of videos and by far this is the best explanation on how to take care of these babies. Thank you again

Thanks so much 😊
This is an amazing video ❤
Very informative! Super helpful for beginners like me 😊
How long does it take for pups to mature and bloom? I’ve potted a few pups and can’t wait to see them bloom! Thanks for the video!
They like a lot of light during the pup phase. It can take 1-2 years or so. How fun!

I'm looking for chocolate striped bromalaid.
Black with white marks. Look like a feather. I seen outside Wholefoods store.
My bromeliad is leaning to on one side and brown on the leaves so do I need to repot and support the plant? Im at a loss please someone help! 😢
Feel free to bring in a photo or email us at gardensolutions@idiggreenacres.com
Why does the mother one die??
So you have to use cactus soil??
Orchid bark and perlite
Very well done. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
When the mother dies and turns brown do you take it off of the stem
My first one didn’t have any pups and is on its way out, hopefully I get some next time I buy one lol.
It takes time!
Music a bit too distracting but great info!
Thanks for the comments! We always are striving to improve!
It is distracting
This probably would have been a great video but I struggled to hear her over the music.
Thanks for the comments.
Can you repost this without the music?
Thanks for the comments. We will probably do a take 2 on this video since it is an older one. Appreciate you're feedback.
If you're anything like me, skip to 2:55
You're welcome
Thanks for the notes. One we hope to re-do soon. :)
My flower has died in the middle…what do I do?
Bring a photo in the nursery next time you're in the area. Maybe it could be salvaged!
Great info, thank you. Music a little loud.
Ugh to the music in the background. Very distracting…
Yes it tooo loud
Far too loud and distracting 😮
*background* is the key word here. Those of us with noise filtering issues find it difficult to hear what's being said.
Music unnecessary
I like the music….just turn it down.
Please help....
Background music too loud to hear speaker.
I would love your video but I cannot hear you over all the background music
love this information... the music is too loud and feels like it competes with her talking
Thanks for the feedback! We hope to update this one soon.
good video--but wish instructions were presented together in bullet points vs moving from subjects... music distracting for a new learner
Thank you very much for the feedback! This is an older video. We are striving to improve videos with each month.
But but you didn't show how you cut the pup 😕 and the name of that white mix?😒 ... still informative 👌

Please turn the music off. I can't hear you properly.
No music so distracting
Doesnt grow or get flowers
Bring in a photo next time you're in the nursery!
Ya the music was too much. Great video though.
Good video, but the background music interferes with your dialogue.
the music is too loud and too much
Thanks for the feedback.
Turn the music off the background please its very distracting.
Thanks for the feedback. That is a video we hope to re-do soon!
For people who are hard of hearing the music in background is impossible.
Thanks for the feedback!
Too much talk, get to the point sooner.
