Yamaha demo day disappoints, but races were great! Day 5

- Day 5 of a dream trip to Barber Motorsports Park for the MotoAmerica season finale races in Birmingham, Alabama. I was very excited for the Yamaha demo day; unfortunately, it turned out to be far less inspiring than the Triumph experience the day before. (See Day 4 video.) Races were great, and overall it was a wonderful new experience for me.

I now own my 3rd Versys 650. Had an '09 many years ago then sold it to try some different bikes. Didn't like them as much so sold them and bought a 2013 Versys. A few years later I sold it because I got the itch for a Honda ST1300. It was a great bike but heavy and definitely all street. Now after looking back and thinking about all the different bikes I've had, at least 20 or so, the Versys has been my favorite. So now I have a '18 Versys 650 LT and finally, just maybe, will be content with what I have . 🙂

Yamaha DemoDays are guided tours. No actual testing is possible.
I had a 2016 Yamaha FJR and had constant issues with the cruise control that started under warranty and continued post warranty and Yamaha never wanted to get involved nor were they able to fix it. It was my first and last Yamaha. Company doesn't support its products and customers, I won't support them.
Shame on Yamaha. Sad that they didn't give you a better experience on their demo day. One more reason to ride Kawasaki?
True, but in Yamaha's defense, I've actually never been offered a Kawasaki demo day, so I can't really compare. I do love my Kawi, though!
