I completed my own 10-speed install on my S2 in Aug 2020 with my own parts. It is a great upgrade to allow pedalling on hill climbing with the low torque motor on the S2 and R/RX.
@@stephengauntt574 I think I bought a spacer back on Amazon. I think it had 1mm 2mm 3mm 4mm. Or check with a local bike shop they might have some lying around
You need to mention the drive side bottom bracket cup needs to be turned clockwise to be loosened. I stripped my going counter. I don’t think it was ever mentioned in this video...only about the peddles. Also not mentioned in the instructions. It’s was hard to notice the directions being turned when it was sped up.
Is the FR 5.2H required or can this also be done with the Park FR 5.2? In other words... will the pass thru hole on the FR5.2 be large enough to accommodate the axel on the bike? I ask as the FR5.2 tool only costs about $8 vs. $44.
Can someone please explain to me what this installation actual does? does the 10 speed gear kit basically mean it can go faster now? can someone please just tell me the differences from a base RX and then an RX with a 10 speed kit?
Can someone who really knows bikes please explain to me the point of having a 10 speed cassette on a GEARED HUB motor with a CADENCE sensor. It sure won’t help with torque nor top speed. Isn’t cassette gears only useful on a MID DRIVE motor with TORQUE sensor? That’s why you often see them on mountain bikes. I could very well be mistaken that’s why I want someone to explain it to me. Thanks.
I like it for the exercise when not relying on the electric motor. Sure, a proper pedal bike is better for that, but it's nice to have options. I have a Juiced Hyper Scrambler with gearing and it helped me drop like 50lbs so having this option on my RX is awesome!
better pedal use on hills and therefore lower battery usage overall when using pedal assist modes. Check out Tristan Ervin's video on it, he did a test ride and it seems like a huge power savings.
if you know how to replace your brake pads and rotor then this is a peace of cake, tools maybe around $30 bucks plus the parts, you can even put a 8 speed.
I just installed this kit on my Neighbours S73. It took a few hours as it was my first S73 upgrade. I live in Venice and build ebikes if any needs help with their install....
@@TheGameTiger I followed this video-- ua-cam.com/video/eXcxsCHo-Rk/v-deo.html It took a while to find a deraileur but I managed. Even though it is on now, I still haven't really adjusted it correctly. That is probably the hardest part for me, but its there and it works. *BEWARE* this company WILL NOT respond to you if you have problems with your bike! They only respond if you want to make a purchase. All the new motors have issues, V1, V2, and V3 🤦♂️

Why not have the bike come with it?
Their trying to rip people off
What are the specs for the bottom bracket spacers?

Hey - I live in Venice and would be interested in this. How can I reach you?
Would this fit a ZG?
Will this allow for higher top speeds under battery power?
Not really.
where can we buy the 10-speed kit ???
They just now restocked it on the Super 73 website if you want it (Nov 23, 2022)
Last Mile SF
Do you reinstall the chainguard?
it looks like you don't, although I'd like to figure out a way to have the chainguard work with the 10 speed as I like the look and function of it.
What size is the cassette spacer?
Hey there, here are our specs:
OD 41 mm
ID 35 mm
Thickness 2mm
Bro I stop every super 73 video with out even owning one 😩😩😭😭
So do super 73 come upstate New York to install the ten speed kit or do they have places to bring my RX to????
Why did i watch this? I dont even own a Super 73 yet 😭😭😭
Now you are invested.
Lol I was asking myself the same question
Better buy a chain Guard for the highest gear...
Fat bikes HB does the install if anyone needs installation
Thanks for the info!! Do you by chance know how much?
*cries in S1*
Sucks for s1 and z1
Putting gears on my S1 right now, only 3 speed but better than nothing.
