Oh and another video that would be super helpful is how you started to heal, like how you knew that you were on the right track. Like what symptoms that went first and how long it took etc.
    Thanks for your time!

You remind me of my old welding teacher. I swear that man could fix any tool we had, if he cared to look at it over his glasses, and give it two well placed strikes with a hammer.
Then he would show me how to do some obscenely hard weld, like gas welding a pipe, and say: "How hard can it be?"
He was so skilled that he could make anything work with almost any tools.
Same as you, except you are so skilled at mindset that you could probably make any intervention work for most diseases.
    Science calls this self efficacy.
This could be a real niche for you in the recovery space.
And it would leave room both for you making a living from coaching, and for giving away the show for free through book or youtube, for those who cant afford it.

Great vid. I've come to the conclusion that to heal from a lot of things like CFS mindset is more important than diet. So a dramatic example would be if I had to pick between a healthy mind with a bad diet or a bad mind with a healthy diet, I'd go for the first. Obviously the best is to have healthy mind and healthy diet, but often when people do these diets it leads them to completely forget about the mind or not realise its importance, or to hyperfocus on on being perfect which is essentially putting yourself in a mild form of fight or flight.

I absolutely love and agree with every word you have said here. I have been dealing with advanced adrenal fatigue for about six years. I’ve been getting coaching for almost 2 years. This includes lifestyle, change and nutritional supplements and having a good diet. But my primary mantra is “mindset, and environment are the most powerful elements of all of this.” I feel like people think I’m too radical about this, but I am 1000% convinced that this is what has to change first and we have to stay on top of it and stay committed to our own recovery. I also firmly believe that if we don’t take care of the mind and heart issues, we will need to take more supplements because of the stress we have allowed to remain in our bodies. I’ve often said that we can pump ourselves full of all kinds of nutritional supplements, but until we deal with the heart and mind issues, it’s not going to solve our situation. I have always loved the study of nutrition, and I am actually a mind-body nutrition coach. And I believe strongly in this order, it is the mind first then the body. I’m at a place right now where I’m having to seriously consider all the supplements I’m taking because I am thinking that they are actually part of the stress that’s keeping me from making progress Because I am so fatigued that I really don’t wanna have to sort them out and make sure I take them on time, etc. but I don’t want to be impulsive. But I’m getting very close to that. There’s a wonderful quote from Marc David “ the body lives downstream of the soul (mind, will, emotions)”. I couldn’t believe this more. I pray for wisdom for all of us and making decisions for our full recovery. Love to everyone on your journey. ❤️🇺🇸

I find the negative self talk thing really difficult to deal with, especially when it comes to appearance. The main issue being that I'm skinny-fat (im talking extremely low muscle mass with fat) and can't exercise due to fatigue. So it's like I'm stuck with this body and I can't be proactive to change it. If it were something that I think I would never be able to change, like genetic appearance, fine I would be able to accept it but I just can't seem to accept this as I'm always thinking I can't wait until I can recover and I can change this part of myself.

Hi James, thank you for making these videos. If you haven’t already, would you consider making a future video on what a typical day or week looked liked during your recovery, how you filled your time as you tried to stay away from excess stimulation and just an overall explanation on the variety of food you ate throughout the day.
My levels of fatigue fluctuate between tolerable to absolutely exhausted. Curious to hear what you did on your really bad days, did you just eat and lie in bed or did you try to do something else as well?
    All the best,

Thanks James.. I always relate so much to what you say. I have been told the negative self talk and self doubt is like I’m at war within myself and perpetuating my illness (cfs) I believe this to be true.. and usually comes from childhood trauma
I am slowly getting a lot better and have been working on this area for years now
    Great advice thanks

Yes I agree tiredness and feeling unwell ramps up the negative self talk.. I could be very cruel to myself but am improving a lot. My friend who’s a spiritual teacher says I’m punishing myself for not being able to fix my parents coming from a dysfunctional upbringing also. Is very deep stuff. Have found your videos the most helpful of any out there . Much appreciated 😊

According to my experience, the solution to intestinal problems is hidden in zero protein and zero fat. When your digestive system is not working, you cannot even digest vegetable proteins and fats. Fresh vegetables and fruits and potatoes massage the intestines. Some people may be intolerant to potatoes. I recommend those who are not, to try it. By the way, pay attention to avocado. It has a lot of fat in it. Now that I'm healed, I eat whatever I want. But I still try to eat 50% plant-based and fat-free. By the way, James, I agree. If you don't treat yourself well, the digestive system can't recover. So, two types of treatment are necessary. Healing with food and healing by restoring your mental health. Without one, the other doesn't work either. At least that's what my experience has taught me.

    Hi James,
I have been struggling with agoraphobia and social anxiety for years. My issue is that I live with my parents in a building with doormen.
This makes it much harder to go outside because the doormen know I don’t have a job and live at home. This makes my fear of going out stronger. The longer I stay inside the more embarrassing it is to go out, because they know I’ve just been inside for weeks. It’s a cycle I’m having a hard time breaking out of.
    What should I do?

There’s someone called Dr Natasha Campbell McBride who speaks on this if you are interested in checking out the efficacy of the protocol

Hi James, I've been riding with you since you were first recovering in videos riding your bike down the country lane and happy to have more energy again. You look sad and angry. • @IsakTougaard9
      @IsakTougaard9 6 місяців тому

Neuropathy can have many causes, and stress/CFS or fibro/autoimmune issues can be one cause.
Can also be B1 deficiency, often best remedied with benfotiamine if peripheral neuropathy.
Could also be radiation, infection, mechanical damage and whatever have you.
To really sort for the root cause, you would have to think about when it started and what was happening in that period.

I think they have their space for sure. Our internal battle can cause us to stay in a stressful state which perpetuates the Illness. I will say if you are living with a toxic person it’s very difficult to retrain yourself whilst in that situation. I couldn’t do it personally
