Problem with mind thinking of God is that it expects something, some Presence, or it imagines God. God has to be felt. Thinking about him will only lead to obsession. Mind is too separative. Just in the heart or in silence God can be heard. Not thinking but stopping thinking. As long as we think we are in the imaginary.
