I'm really surprised QQ called. I mean what's the bottom of the SB range? AKo? JJ possibly TT, then from EPs reaction he clearly has a hand, possibly the same hand QQ or AK but occasionally KK. It just seems like a fold Vs 2 opponents. It's the main event, I would think he'd rather preserve his stack and wait for a better spot. I guess there's something to be said for the future game if he wins this pot but against 2 opponents, in the main for most of your stack, when there's 12 million up top, I'd be folding. The best he can hope for is an under pair like JJ and AKo and even then he loses over half the time.

@@onlyweatherlol93 you're just spewing out a phrase. It's not results oriented at all. It's just what it is, the ICM pressure is pretty huge at this stage of the tournament. When it's obvious that the EP has a hand do you really want to risk the majority of your stack? Chips saved are worth more than chips won at this stage, sure he could win a lot of chips but I think stack preservation is much more important, especially when the best he's really hoping for here is a flip. Even if he's shown JJ and AKo I think it's a snap fold in my opinion. Vs JJ and AKo he's only winning 46% of the time and that's the best situation he can hope for here. So over half the time he's left crippled and pretty much guaranteed to bust soon.

Its easy to talk when u see the cards but JJ, and specially QQ should fold here. Calling with QQ is a real fish play when a 3rd player goes all in and then gets called. JJ was definitely a fold there considering ICM and he wasnt that short. If he only had 15-18m thats a reasonable jam. He was so deep that if the original 3-better QQ calls him and has a better hand (which he did) and he doesnt hit a set then hes dead.

It’s not that clear in my opinion. Payne is his friend (so he knows him well) and has been super aggro. He knows Payne will open wide even when he’s reduced to 25~ bigs. Aguilera knows this as well and as such he can absolutely be light there with Ax, broadway hands, etc. Aguilera has the stack to do it, too. These factors make JJ a far more reasonable shove than perhaps it may appear.
Devils advocate: Dan is never being called by worse except AK. He should have at least a modest edge vs most of the table. There will be other spots that are more easily defined.
Regardless, there’s going to be substantial ICM pressure over the last 3-4 days of this tournament. Caving to such pressure leaves one exploitable. Dan wins a ton of dead money in that spot fairly often. It looks bad bc they had it but vs those two players specifically I think it’s fine. Just my opinion and it’s not 2013 so I’m not beyond persuasion of contrary ideas.

Its not like either of these players were steaming or in immediate danger of elimination by running out of chips, so they definetly had something big.
Either way, a pair is not safe anymore when it comes to such showdowns, not even AA.
It might be safe in a 1;1 headsup but not with 3 people involved. The chance to hit a card is just far too likely and JJ or AA doesent mean much.

Important to know when the next blind level would have come. That said I wonder whether Weinman made the correct decision by pushing AI? It wasn't that he would only have 10BB left if had folded. Well, he made a manly move...and did not resort to time-wasting shenanigans like Torelli
