However, it should be noted only the iPhone 6/6S/7/8/X models support faster charging with the 12 W charger. I'm not sure if the iPhone SE supports the faster charging mode.

As my son has one and he too enjoys the much quicker charging time of the tablet chargers...All of the apple devices or maybe devices period charger faster with more powerful chargers, they may cap out at exactly how fast they can charger, but a lower voltage will always render a lower charge rate/time...imho

That's because the iphone maximum power draw for fast charging is 18W for the current models. It was capped at 15W so no matter how much power the charger can output, it will still draw up to 18W of power. That was why the 29W was only slightly faster than the 12W
Apple also sells. 30 w charger for $30. Plus, fast charging can damage the battery and depending on the phone, limits the amount of charge coming in. Best to just use a stable battery

I’d only want fast charging if I’m sitting in an airport during a layover. Here at home, I have no need for fast charging. Only time I usually have to charge my Xs Max is when I’m going to bed. The 5w charger works just fine for me personally.
It also ruins the battery tremendously, so it you don’t want to spend more money trying to replace the battery I suggest you just stick to the smaller cubes.

There are still many smartphones on the market which give you the option to open the back of the device and change the defective battery for about 20$. It's a bargain compared to Apples approach (Apple charges 79$ for this service).
