have you ever had a hand in breeding Brazilian Rainbow Boa constrictors and if so do you have an opinion on that , you asked for a suggested content that's the only reason why I'm saying this. 😆
you put your hot spot at around a hundred degrees for Brazilian Rainbow Boa constrictors ?? or are you talking about tapering of temperatures ? everybody's got me so paranoid on the temperatures . I honestly had the hot spot in my cage for about 90 degrees for over 2 months before I corrected it. when I locked my temperature in she became way more active . she is 2 now plan to breed on two tears wo just working on it now . Thanks bro dig your videos
Would you make a video of feeling for follicles? I have a pair that I'm hoping to breed this year, it may not happen though because the female suddenly came up with mites a week after eating a pet store rat, but knowing what to feel for would be immensely helpful
Appreciate the information. I just got a visual blood female 66% sharp albino and a super hypo sharp junglow male poss het blood. I hope I get lucky and they prove out and I get the Sharp Sun Dragon 🐉. But since they’re babies it’s playing the waiting game for the next 4 years right?
What temperature do you end up at when dropping the temps? For example, if you start with 100 hot spot, is it 85 after the drop has been implemented over several weeks?
Jason do you continue to feed while breeding? And is the meal size the same? Or smaller meal? I have seen videos where the breeder stops feed all together is this wise to do? Thanks
Great videos! I have a question , if I start at a temp of 98f and drop hot spot to say 86 over a 4-6 week period at what point and what temp do I start raising the hot spot temp back up? Assuming it's after ovulation but should I raise it slowly and what temp do you suggested as a "perfect belly temp? Thanks
@@JasonsExoticReptiles at what age do you start this temp cycle? Just the year they are expected to breed, or younger so that they get used to that temp change?
I might be a little bit off topic but I was trying to find a way to message you I have quite a few morphe boas and yellow anacondas I was curious if it's okay for me to continue feeding them chicken parts with bones seeing how they eat it I heard something about organs and fur is that needed in their diet????
@@JasonsExoticReptiles l'm asking you because argentine boas come from the coolest places where boas can be found and are generally kept somewhat cooler than the tropical species
So quick question I have a boa that I got years ago she’s about 14-17 yrs old I’ve always wanted to breed her to keep a baby or two back. What you think? I just don’t want her to have problems. I currently breed balls pythons very well. Just curious on your thoughts
As long as she is in good health and weight there should be no problems, but just like humans, there can always be complications so I say never breed anything unless you are aware of the risks and what could happen. This is true for a 5 year old or a 25 year old boa.
Hi I want to ask you I have two females and one male one of females is 8 feets long, the second one is 6 feets long & the male is 4 feets long My questions are 1 - Can the male breeding two females in the same place and in the same season? 2-Can this male breeding those females? 3-when the female get pregnant should I stop feeding it or Continu feeding it ? Please I am just waiting your answer and it is very important to me to get answers about these questions. Thank you. "The snakes are boa"
If the female are ready and the male is ready then yes hee should be able to breed. Iver found breeding more than one female gives slugs on one if bred too closely and i continue feeding as usually throughout. If they refuse food that's fine, but I offer
Michael Batta they tend to be lass likely to breed in my experience. Not really a down side but if you House them together year round for instance they usually don't produce. It's best to keep separate then introduce when ready.
Absolutely! I always offer food at the same intervals as I would. I might downsized pray little bit but I feel pretty small meals anyways. If they don't eat that's not a problem but I always offer.
Really good info Jason. Looking forward to the rest in this series!
Appreciate all ur hard work, considering u have a job,nd a ton of snakes to deal with, looking out for us newbies, keep up the GREAT work

Thanks for the excellent video! Do you keep your humidity around 90% year-round, or do you also change the humidity levels throughout the year?
Usually from 50-75%

Hot spot will range around 86-88 at the lowest point.
Yo hold a boa while your talking, great view strategy 👌👌
I think I'm doing okay for not putting much effort into the videos lol

Thank you so much mr.Jason.
Do you keep your room to a set temp and change your rack temps?
I try to keep the room around 75-78 and change the rack heat temp.
Is there a downside to introducing before feeling follicles?
Michael Batta they tend to be lass likely to breed in my experience. Not really a down side but if you House them together year round for instance they usually don't produce. It's best to keep separate then introduce when ready.
