Women will always go gaga over an attractive man in a nice uniform, even if he is a Nazi who has no qualms at putting the fear of God into an innocent boy.
To those who keep insinuating that Kolter was in the wrong for shouting at Bruno--you have to understand that the ideal is higher than anything, that the philosophy and doctrine of National Socialism reigns supreme over all other aspects of life, even respect for one's peers and superiors, because it itself entails how one should conduct one's self among others. To discipline another man's son in the manner of National Socialism is a virtue. At the end of the day, Bruno's father was not present. Bruno's father would have been softer on his son than Kolter was. Kolter saw the opportunity to instill discipline and took it.

@@roshii2789 it is, but it is also really important to understand history. I watched it and needed many tissues.
@@valmacclinchy I didnt cry much watching this movie but I will never be able to watch oskar schindlers breakdown without crying even thinking about it might make me cry
I just want to scoop Shmuel up in my arms and hold him forever. I both hate and love this movie.
Schmule is so cute
Mariposa yes he is sad that he did not go to the other side of the camp to Bruno. He would be free from the Nazis because the Nazis are such idiots
How is he cute
Hes a poor litle Jew
@@nicolelawless3199 they are idiots you are right
@@blackwolf3803 you hate kids
Rupert Friend scared the crap out of me, in this scene!!! But, I guess that's what you call 'good acting'.
Phenomenal acting by Rupert
Poor Schmuel, he is only a kid.
this movie is so touching!
i read the book so i had to watch the movie too
Me to. I read the book
I hate Bruno at this scene
But I must say I do still love their pure friendship
I don't like kids but Shmuel eating always melts my heart.
I remember being in hospital and hadn’t eaten in 2 weeks by then because I was very sick; I told Mummy “this hospital feels like a Holocaust!”. I regretted saying such things as a heartbroken Woody.EXE watched as I was literally almost dying. 2023 started horribly
He should have said, “My dad is the commander, and he said I can do what I want with him. I wanted him to eat.”
When kotler said "ANSWER ME" I freaking jumped like 10 feet and bumped by head so hard...... ow
you can laugh about it. i agree it is pretty funny
I'm watching this at school next week but I will cry it's to sad :(
"ANSWER ME" dog: barks VERY loudly
The Diary of a Mad Black Woman.
Awww, tiny Asa!!! So weird thinking back to this considering his role in Sex Education now....
RoseBumble i mean he's almost 23 soo yeah he can definitely be in sexual movies and series but it's so weird that i still see him as a kid, makes me uncomfortable to see him in those kinda scenes (same with Dakota and Elle Fanning) 🤷🏻♀️
The two boys acting is so good in this movie
When he looks up and reveals his black eye
well i guess you could say, the bald kid got the last laugh in the end
i wonder how he must have felt shooting this movie, the gereal
It’s scenes like this that make you wanna go back and watch Inglorious Basterds.
just gotta say I love lieutenant Kotler. I don't know why just something about him draws me in
Women will always go gaga over an attractive man in a nice uniform, even if he is a Nazi who has no qualms at putting the fear of God into an innocent boy.
Polpiv4tifish You got that right I lovr him so much he is so hot 😍😍😍😍😍
Mhmm it also drew Gretel and Bruno's mom in
wow, I found the darkest part of UA-cam. Finally!
ARAVIND ISM The ending is dark too if u want to see that but it’s quite depressing
Heart-breaking, absolutely heart-breaking.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THIS MOVIE
Rupert is an amazing actor
"Do you know this Jew? ... Do ya no dis Jew?!!!!!"
The wrath of the Grand Inquisitor
Fun fact: Asa Butterfield was one of the actors considered to play Spider-Man in the MCU. He got awfully close but lost out to Tom Holland
Kotler had some balls to yell at the son of a high ranked officer
To those who keep insinuating that Kolter was in the wrong for shouting at Bruno--you have to understand that the ideal is higher than anything, that the philosophy and doctrine of National Socialism reigns supreme over all other aspects of life, even respect for one's peers and superiors, because it itself entails how one should conduct one's self among others. To discipline another man's son in the manner of National Socialism is a virtue. At the end of the day, Bruno's father was not present. Bruno's father would have been softer on his son than Kolter was. Kolter saw the opportunity to instill discipline and took it.
When Shmuel (the jewish boy) craves for the baked goods, my heart just shattered... 🥺
