  • In this episode I share how I found land for my tiny home in Australia, and how I work as a care taker on an elderly ladies property. I take care of jobs she can no longer do anymore herself allowing her to remaining living on her beautiful spacious property.
    How I found land.. www.hipcamp.com/en-AU
Eight years ago, I decided to build my dream life, to work for myself, live in a tiny home and spend more time doing things I enjoy with those I love.
Downsizing into a recycled caravan Tiny House reduced my financial obligations and accelerated my career as a family & wedding portrait photographer.
I’ve lived this lifestyle for the past 5 years on the east coast of Australia, living alone on private land with my two dogs Edge & Luna.
This episode is part of a series where I share my lifestyle and answers the most common questions I receive.
I hope these episodes help you design your dream life!

The correct ratio for the whippersnapper fuel mix is normally 50 to 1
meaning 50 ml of oil to 1L of fuel.
To measure the oil squeeze the oil bottle to fill the little compartment up to the right measurement and then pour that into the fuel container and then add the petrol.
Well done for trying keep the good work up. 👍

No disrespect but just letting you know that's actually not correct. 50:1 means 50 parts fuel to 1 part oil so for 1 litre of fuel you need 20ml of oil (1000ml ÷ 50 = 20ml) by putting 50ml of oil into a litre of fuel your engine will run incredibly rich and cause issues down the line. Different whippersnippers require different fuel ratios so it's worthwhile finding the correct ratio for your engine. Also slightly undoing the cap of the little measuring compartment before squeezing makes it alot easier.

Maybe look for a jerry can with a screw on pourer. Love the drone footage of the misty mountains 🥰

If you dont want to wipper snip alot you can weed kill around your edges, fence lines, and stuff to cut down on edging and snipping. If you dont want to use weed killer look at a product called "Primo Maxx". You spray it on aswell, its a growth regualtor you spray during the hot grass growing season. It majorly stops the grass growing huge over a 4-5 week period. Then you reapply it again. Its cuts down on edging and wipper snipping as it cuts off the growth for 4-6 weeks. You will get a spurt in growth though once it wears off though. A lot of golf courses use it to cut down on the mowing during the grass growing season. Primo Maxx isnt cheap but works really well.
If you work out the current cost of fuel and time doing all the work then Primo Maxx isnt really that expensive considering the time savings. You will mow and snip around 60% less than when you dont use it.
Just a tip for you. 🙂
