Looking very good. Im on a 1/9 scale tear myself. Nwver built a MFH but once I saw their H-D knuckle I had to have one. Still havent pulled the trigger on it.
Hi Clive the bike took about 7 months to complete from opening the box to the final brush stroke. Am thinking about doing another MFH bike if anyone has an idea of what bike to build leave a comment below I'm looking at the Vincent black shadow but if u guys would like to see any other MFH bike let me know
Ha ha no Michael ya need to watch part 2 I always pre assemble this type of kit make sure it all goes together right.. my kit was ok needed a bit of work the thing with MFH kits it depends on how many casts they have done out of mould I got this kit on launch so casting was not to bad. They cleaned up nice. Then I have it a couple of coats of 2k high build primer then top coat and then 2k high gloss lacquer..
So let me get this straight....you pre-assemble and then take the whole thing apart to start again? Is there also a lot of cleanup for the glue as well when you take it apart and what glue do you use?
Thanks for posting, Will! These MFH kits are amazing. I'm looking forward to tackling one. About the price: if you consider how many hours it takes to build a MFH motorcycle or automobile kit, which are hours of interest, challenge, and entertainment, and how satisfying it is to end up with a museum quality heirloom, the price isn't bad at all in comparison with other hobbies.
Hi Rodger I can't tell u the exact metals used but can tell u there is defiantly lead. So all the cautions with using lead ie washing hands after touching.
Is anyone aware as to the metals used in the pewter parts in the MFH kits? I am wondering about the possibility of lead being used? I asked MFH several times but received no response from them
Did you forget to buy paint? Seriously, I built this too and my castings were very rough. It took about 20 hours with needle files and steel wool just to get the surfaces to look decent. For the price the castings should have been much better.
@@darrynjohnson5808 I spent hours and hours with needle files removing seem lines around every bump on the rims. In my experience needle tumblers are good at removing the oxidized casting surface only.
@@cratecruncher6687 I am 100% new to leveling up to MFH and agree the initial tumbler pass does a perfect job of cleaning everything …. Makes the experience better when all is clean, I would not want to do it all by hand ! next time I might also pre drill 🤔 1st. After doing the drill by hand … I have invested in a suitable powered ‘scale’ drill. I am enjoying the process with the white metal …. Don’t mind the extra work required the results are easy to appreciate even for a newbi like me, though I have a long way to go to complete my Crocker
I'd never heard of MFH so I looked 'em up . . . Dear god! £325 for a 1/35th scale Late Production Tiger 1??????????????? I mean. it's a beautiful model without *any* shadow of doubt but not at that price!

Very clean build

I think they are overpriced and the quality isnt all that good imo? Ive built a few and you end up fighting to get the thing together.
Hard to be sure a lot of the parts look to need a good bit of fettling.
stunning model. can I ask how long it is and the distance between wheel centres , also the wheel centre hight

Hi Can I ask how long this kit took to build from start to finish.
It's really first class and you have done it justice. 😉👍

Is it metal
Hi Mayne
Everything is metal apart from the tank that's made from resin.
