that third period was disgraceful
He’s right it wasn’t just the 3rd. They were off from the jump - you could tell they weren’t gonna win this game. And you don’t sit in a 1 goal lead like that - this was the worst performance of the post season

SHARP...not only were you not sharp, your team had zero life, zero pride. They waited for the game to come to them, they didn't take it to the Canes. Lots of passivity, standing around, and just waiting...this was a VERY bad game. How do you play so well in other games then just not show up whatsoever in this one? Especially with a chance to close it out?! It felt almost intentional, like a bunch of the guys had money on the Canes for some reason...This game felt like a choice, a choice to not play.

That third period was a disgrace.
It was a $hit $how. We had no offense period. We had 2 SOG over a 20 minute period. Our passing was horrible. We got beat to almost every puck. The worst aspect, for one of the rare times this season, we gave up! We needed to end this before going to Raleigh. The momentum has shifted, we left the door open for them
Here we go again Ranger fans! Rangers dominate the beginning of a series and then gas out with no energy for the rest of the series and lose. I know we are still ahead, but if we don't turn this around, we will repeat the past for sure.

Not just the third period. That’s worrisome. For the team that led the NHL this year, this isnt the time to tank at home. They do get an extra day off and they look like they need it. They were off the puck all night and you cant give the Canes that much room. Big players have to come through.

In situations like this, coach should have shaken things up a bit more with the lines. why not throw rempe's big body out on the PP2 in front of the net for example. Also i think Mika got hurt bad with that crosscheck, he could barely release a shot.

It’s a reality check. 7 games without losing is insane. Series is 3-2 it’s normal. The whole rangers fan base is bashing their own team for one rough game after all that accomplishment. It’s the exact thing that’s wrong with the franchise. The boys will step it up. Let’s see some positivity
Our defense was non-existent! We were lazy, just standing there and letting them storm into our end. Igor can only do so much. We should have won on Saturday in OT! The Lindgren penalty killed us.
It’s good Rangers get 2 days off to regroup from this. Extra day might help slow momentum.

If he has any balls he’ll sit Panarin in favor of Chytil. He may not have breads pure talent but you never question his efffort. Panarin is an absolute defensive liable who sulks and dogs like he did on the back leaving kusnetsov all alone to bury the rebound. Honestly agree with you but I don’t think that’s ever going to happen. Panarin is too important offensively. Hopefully the coach singles some guys out in practice. Accountability is key. Believe me, I have my feelings of worry n anger rn, but this team has been lights out in responding to loses this year. I have a feeling game 6 we’ll see our team again.
We now lost two games because of Planarian. Game 4: he made a turn over and didnt cover the guy in the slot. Game 5: stopped skating and let Kuznetsov beat him to the rebound.

I felt like i was watching high school level hockey. we were completely decimated, add the thousands of dollars working class people had to spent to even attend. Absolutely ridiculous & embarrassing. It’s not like it was a genuine loss, this team wasn’t even SKATING anymore, making passes that were straight at the opposing team, just genuinely being careless, leaving their extremely skilled goalie out to dry, and leaving everything with him to handle 99% of the time. Millions of dollars a year to stand on the ice and fiddle with a stick. I’m just, i’m floored. I love all of them, but the way the pockets of so many were drained just for them to not even play at professional level is just.. 🥱

Two shots on goal in 25 minutes of hockey is a recipe for disaster. Horrible strategy! When Igor is not Superman, this team loses. To think, that careless Lindgren tripping penalty at the end of Game 4 may actually become the death dagger for this season... Unbelievable.

Why wouldn’t Carolina win 4 in a row? Devils won 3 out of 4 last year. Tampa beat us 4 straight prior year. Carolina should have already won the series but Igor has bailed us out. I’m a die hard rangers fan but I don’t think we win this series. I hope I’m wrong.

Officiating was terrible...missed 2 blatant cross checks (Mika, Rempe) that they're supposedly cracking down on, and the obvious too many men probably while Carolina was killing a penalty. That said, the Rangers PP has completely dried up after the hot start, so it probably wouldn't have mattered.
