@@RAM-KINGOFTRUCKSGood. Jones is a very capable Dman, both ends of the ice. Gus can sit, but Miller deserves to sit, he’s the king of low energy. Problem is, Jones has been idle about 3 weeks. Timing and energy don’t rebound immediately.

Unbelievable what’s happening. What we are witnessing is last year playoff ranger hockey with the no emotion, no effort and lazy play. This series should have been a rangers sweep.
You saw one bad game from the Rangers against the second best team in the NHL regular season.
If you expect the Rangers to sweep one of the Stanley Cup favourites in Carolina, then you’re severely underestimating the Hurricanes. Sweeping a team like that should not be anyone’s expectation. Plus, we’ve only lost 2 games all playoffs.

If they blow a 3-0 lead, they may want to look at changing some things. I cannot understand why the team gets stuck in their own zone and don't try advancing the puck. It's like they are sometimes satisfied to coast. Carolina is constantly pushing the puck. Always trying to be on the offensive. We are the more talented team. They need to come out on fire for game 6 and push the pace all 60 mins.
I agree with all of this except your insertion that the we are more talented than the Canes, I have to disagree with you there. The only team that MIGHT be more talented than the Canes is the Stars.

Sure they said it’d be a long series and NY was the under dog. All season I had absolutely no confidence in the team and they just kept proving me to be absolutely wrong. I don’t mind 1 lose even 2 but they are up 3-0 this should be a done series. Then I think it could be even over considering they won 2 in OT. If they lose this series it’s a complete and utter disaster. Someone needs to pay and it’s not the coach. Drury and several players should be gone. They have needed a top RW for years and don’t want to address it. They showed absolutely nothing after the second period yesterday.
If they lose the season ticket holders should ban together next season and boycott opening night. Show the Rangers that fans are mad. Let them play in front of an empty arena.
Great Video, as usual, guys. I don't think that GM Chris Drury gets fired. I think that he's both Dolan's & Sather's Boy & he's tried to make moves that will work. I think that you see some moves, such as Jacob Trouba getting traded & some others in The Bottom 6 going. I'm not at all excusing The Top 6. I'm thinking, that, this is why you need A Great Bottom 6. In the games following The Regular Season, teams play The Top 6 on any team tight. This is why you need some scoring in The Bottom 6, such as Pittsburgh Penguins used to have, in The Stanley Cup years, such as Kessel, Bonino & Haglin (I'm not saying those players, but, those type of players). Primary concern now is the same one I had throughout the season...to many times the power play and superb goaltending has masked our poor play in our defensive zone. We are slow to react once we win the puck and our play along the wall is dreadful. We lack big punishing defenseman to compliment the play making of Adam Fox and Miller. I believe Trouba was on the ice for 7 goals against in this series before game 5.
Go back and watch the Caps series and take note of how much time we spent pinned in our end. If the Capitals had scored on 3 or 4 of the power plays they had (15) that series might've had a much different result. We should win this series and i think we match up well against either Boston or Florida, but after watching the games in the west especially Dallas & Colorado its clear that our defense will need to dig deep to compete. Can we grind it out and win one goal games when the opposing teams goaltending and defense are as strong as ours? I hope so
Devils played the 2-2-1 and beat us. Now Carolina switched from the 1-2-2 to the 2-2-1 and Rangers are getting less shots on net and reduced scoring chances. Rangers getting 3 shots on goal in the 3rd period was just like last season game 7 agains the devils losing 4-0 I think they had 2 or 3 shots on goal in the 3rd period in that game too. Rangers need to pley like their playoff lives are on the line because that is the case now. Rangers could of been out in 5 if Canes goal tending was better in games 2 and 3.

Can't believe so many Ranger fans are so nervous. Come on. They will play much better next game and if they lose it won't be because they didn't play well. They will win if not Thursday then Saturday. They had a bad game yesterday. They are a team and they will play great.

94 Doug Lidster came off the bench and played 7 great games in the Finals. Defense needs to move pieces around Jones looked excellent in his last stint and he has the iq to play the PP and i think he would compliment trouba. Also its not the coach, the paid stars have to finish this! 10, 23,93, 20! I dont want to hear about injuries Leetch played 94 with one arm won a Conn Smythe. If they lose this series one of those 4 numbers has to be moved!
Miller needs a huge kick in the a$$ ... what a coaster, so obvious as he’s got size but never uses it. He should be told to sit a game.

I'm not panicking - I'm just observing the exact same things we saw in '22 and '23 - top players disappearing completely, losing the battles for pucks, etc. And my optimism has vanished.
This situation does not rest on Panarin alone. Team defense game 5 stunk accross the board. SOFT ON THE PUCK, SOFT PLAY ALONG THE BOARDS COST THEM THE GAME.
If we blow a 3-0 then we weren't good enough to win the Cup anyway. We need a Messier type performance from someone (don't care who) in game 6. Preferably from someone other than Igor. A hat trick from someone would be nice. Either way this team need to go to war. Systems are great but sometimes when you're punched in the mouth you need to respond with a sense of urgency.
These past two playoff seasons have me concerned… foot in the throttle and took the foot of the gas!
Now the goals in game 5! lol no one defended. Goal 1: puck comes out of the zone, ORLOV IS STANDING there with the puck. Roslovic does a circle in the NZ, Mika changes, and Kreider takes a long skate up to Orlov who is flat footed. That puck should be forced to be dumped or turned over to go the other way. Instead, they sit back on their heals, D are now caught behind the play with a man coming with speed and they score. Goal 2: Kakko shoots the puck down the other end, rebound comes to panarin and he doesn't get a handle of it, but Kakko comes to the puck side instead of staying in the middle of the ice which now causes a 3v2 coming back the other way. No one back checks/picks up, Skjei shoots the puck and Panarin gets beat back to the net. Goal 3: Trouba goes back for the puck, has pressure immediately. Kreider and Mika are literally standing straight up, there is no other Carolina player even close (next Carolina player is at the blue line). He beats Kreider and Mika back for support, Carolina causes the turn over, Gustaffson coming back is literally standing on the same boards as Kreider coming back into the zone instead of supporting/ covering the front of the net where there are two Carolina players. Roslovic also just ASSUMES and takes a skate outside of the zone. All lazy hockey plays on the puck and off the puck by everyone. Recipe for disaster
There are no changes needed. The team needs to stop relying on Igor to make a ton of saves and start playing on the offensive side of the game. Brodzinski should play over Rempe because he can eat up more than 3 minutes. The team needs to start defending better (what they are/have done). The top 2 lines needs to stop being babies and start playing, Idc if they are hurt, everyone is hurt at this time in the playoffs and everyone is tired. Man up and win a hockey game/play it hard

Have played the game for over 20 years of my life through college and semi-pro and now I coach so I know the game much more than the average fan which is why I get so mad at people have never played the game (not talking about these guys btw because I like their show a lot) but voice such a huge opinion when they don't even understand what is going on off the puck and they only see the immediate person and think its their fault immediately.
@@anthonyastorino7492 couldn't agree more. most coverage of this sport - including TNT, ESPN - is shallow and never points out the subtle things that lead to effective play. these guys are just fans with no understanding about hockey at all. they focus on counting stats, not play away from the puck. been watching since 69/70...this franchise has been one of the worst in all of sports considering they've won 1 cup since hitler invaded poland

Trouba and Miller after this season need to be let go … they are horrible…. The PP is pretty bad… and our 5-5 are sleeping and defense too ! They completely messing things up with Chytil.. let him rest and should have scratched Vesey for Brozinski!
Hopefully the New York Rangers and the New York Knicks can both win in six! The top six for the Rangers have got to play their best and when you get one goal post for more do not sit back and that’s why they lost the other night. They got the one by Jacob tuba and then they stopped skating, hoping to win the game 1-0 ! That’s not winning hockey. All they had to do was win the third period hopefully they can turn it up on Carolina and play their best hockey desperate hockey thank God Florida didn’t close it out tonight but it doesn’t matter you can’t look ahead. There's no 'might' about it! They did choke! They quit in game 5; rolled over and let the Cane's have it. Time to call it a season. More Rangers playoff trash. But we're used to it
No more copium it’s time to own the poor play contributing to these bad losses. Not the time to be stroking any egos. If these gentlemen have any aspirations to be the best they should understand this and get to work.
They rode Igor for the first three games. Look at the number of saves he made! Now they think they can just skate along on his back and it aint happening. No Effort fragile team. Cane's have figured them out just like the Devils did last year. First two lines sleepwalking just like last year. Fox is a non factor. When this team relies on TRUBA to be their offense, they are DONE!

Not sure why everyone is panicking! No team has ever gone 16 and 0 in the playoffs. In the last 9 playoff games the Rangers are 7 and 2. Every team that has won a Stanley Cup has lost a few playoff games in each series leading up to the Finals. The Rangers will be fine. Carolina won't beat them 4 in a row! If it goes 7 and the Rangers advance, then it will have been a hard-fought series. They're two teams battling here. Did you expect Carolina to back down? Absolutely not! So, I say don't freak out until it's time to freak out! Rangers have to win 1 more, Canes need to win 2 more. Rangers have a good history of bouncing back this season. They'll make it happen. I have no doubt! Typical Ranger fans freaking out over nothing! And stop comparing seasons. The past is the past! Let's focus on this season. LETS GO RANGERS!!!
The panic button should be pressed for this Rangers team leading 3-0 in games blew their opportunity to close out the Canes. We are the biggest comeback team in the league. We’ve been proven to have the most resilience. “No Quit In NY” actually means something. Carolina still needs to win the next two…we only need to pinch ONE of those games.
Even if the Canes win in Raleigh, they still have to come back to New York and there’s no way the Rags will let them win again on our home ice.
All season, this Rangers team has come back from adversity. Trust me, Carolina fans would much rather be in our position right now than theirs.

Before the series started, if I was told we’d be up on the canes 3-2 after 5 games, I’d take it! Can’t win every game people! Our theme this entire year has been resilience and bounce back. This coaching staff will have them prepared and ready. Trust in Lavi

People wake up, Panarin is not a good player in the playoffs. Why do you think this year will be different? Rangers all year and in the playoffs lack scoring 5 on 5. Now that their power play is not working, where do they get scoring? Matt Rempe should not be playing in the playoffs, he is a liability on the fourth line. He cant score, can stick handle and skate with the puck. Also he is a liability on defense. Peter L. needs to start #22 on the fourth line. Schneider has been shaky as well laterly.
Once again people these star players CAN NOT handle pressure well! Look at the history of their play in big games and it isn't good. They are not a mentally tough team and don't have what it takes to win the 4th game of a series which as we know is the toughest one to win!
When Panarin plays bad, he is absolutely awful. He doesn't do anything with the puck, he just throws it/turns it over. He doesn't even defend! His work ethic off the puck is atrocious and it needs to be fixed. I don't get the Jacob Trouba hate. He is not the worst player on the roster IMO. Gustaffson has not been good and has been worse on that back end. Trouba has played fine, he played the most 5v5 minutes out of any D on the team which means he is going to get scored on more than any other group of D. Yah, he makes mistakes, he turns pucks over, but he blocks shots, he plays hard and his work ethic is there. I can't say that for everyone else. Most of the goals that have been scored on the Rangers have not been his fault or all of his fault. Its a team game and the team breaks down and causes things to go wrong. Game 4 Goal 1: Gustaffson pizza up the middle, Goodrow just praying and throwing the puck up in the middle of the ice. Trouba yes needs a better gap but that is not on him. Game 4 Goal 2: Trocheck loses board battle, they ring it off the net, Panarin lolly gags up to the D and they throw it back down below the goal. Not one of the 2 F's in front of the net picked up the guy coming off the bench. They throw it to the net, Trouba battles for positioning, and Carolina player comes from the bench to the front of the net while everyone is puck watching. Goal 3: Panarin gets beat back for the puck in their own zone. they swing it up to the D and back down behind the net. Trouba has to play middle there because Gustaffson couldn't get to the puck. Panarin, right in front doesn't pick up a guys stick and isn't there right away for Trouba to go out and press. All of these goals and including the Game 5 goals are all Dzone breakdowns where everyone does something wrong or is lazy and doesn't take pride in what they are doing.
Sorry that is so long, but I am tired of seeing the Trouba hate on twitter and throughout everyones posts on youtube because he is not playing bad at all.
@@anthonyastorino7492 incorrect, hes been horrific! can't skate the puck out, gets caught flatfooted constantly, out of position often. he's been a disaster and should sit, but lavi won't do it. hope he enjoys going down as the 5tth coach in nhl nistory to choke away a 3-0 series...actually, that's not fair because CAR is simply a better team. CAR was heavy betting favorite before the series. NYR won 3 close games based solely on special teams, but has never out played CAR. now the cream is rising to the top. too bad for my NYR. hope they blow it up over the summer and get rid of drury and the deadweight in the top 6 oh, and trouba

Please........Carolina was favored to win this series AND THE STANLEY CUP. The first three games were just about dead even. These two teams are evenly matched. If the Rangers lose the series it will not be because they chocked. It will be because they lost to a slightly better team
