As a citizen of Myanmar (Burma), I literally feel depressed and even doubt in God because of the ongoing situations of crime against humanity and brutal masscres commited by illegitimate military junta. More than 1,000 people are reportedly murdered. Right now, I'm like "God, are you real? Are you there? Where are you?. It has been nearly 8 months that we lost hope, our future; some even lost their lives or their loved ones. Why is God still watching?" But I found this video (I haven't even subscribed this channel before.) This gives me courage, hope and faith that God is with us and HE will definitely help us. And may I request all of you to pray for Myanmar to be peaceful and to be a democratic nation asap. May God bless you all : )
We are all strangers and pilgrims here on earth, just passing through. The biggest question for everyone born to this world is what JESUS CHRIST asked Peter, viz., "Who do you say that I AM?" For all of us who have been called by the Holy Spirit and answered, "YOU are THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD!", then the best is yet to come. I, personally, have recently found much comfort about the death in reading Isaiah 57:1 and 2. Good people pass away, But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that GOD is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die." And, in Phillipians 1:23 - 24, the apostle Paul wrote under the inspiration of GOD, "I'm torn between two desires: I long to go and be with CHRIST, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live." (NLT, New Living Translation) So we keep praying for all those who have not yet accepted GOD's gift of salvation through and in JESUS CHRIST, and keep spreading the gospel. Let His light shine through the darkness of this world as we walk with JESUS.
I am sorry for your troubles, ask Jesus to bring peace in your life and heart, pray, ask him. He will answer you, have Faith that he will not let this go on, he sees and knows what is happening. Remember the World is ruled by the enemy right now, but rejoice in the fact the leadership will come back to God, with his son Jesus as the King of the new kingdom. As the Lord's Prayer, goes. "your kingdom come as it is in Heaven"
I will pray for you and your country. God will never forsake you even in these very hard times. I am so glad you are putting your hope and trust in God. No one understands fully why God allows such destruction and tragedy, but He has promised complete justice and peace forever to those who put their hope and trust in His Son Jesus. I will pray for you.
This is perfect for the current state we're in. Even though the world is collapsing around us and our since of normal is gone, we still rejoice in the Lord. Peace and joy is what we need to pray to have right now.
Stephanie B so many people beside themselves and overwhelmed by events that just seem to get crazier and crazier. It is comforting to know God has ‘got this’. But for me, it’s because of the madness in the world, from all the dramatic events right down to the increasing self centredness evident in just about everyone around us, that is deepening my faith and awareness. And there it all is, right there in the Bible ....and has been there for thousands of years, just waiting for the seeker to open their eyes (me) and see the truth .
The Holy Spirit put it upon my heart to read Habakkuk after the assassination attempt. I had honestly never even noticed this book in the Bible. I was watching the news and flipped open my Bible to the first page of Habakkuk, and throughout the day was pointed back to it in weird ways. It’s so comforting knowing our Lord is sovereign and watching over His children. I am full of gratitude for our perfect loving Father
@@mitchellc4 in my knowledge the word, 'God' is the Father. "The Word was with God and the Word was God"... in some way humans can't fully understand they are two parts of the one being, which was God.
What amazes me most is the fact in what simple way you guys from the bible project transport that first of all seemingly complex message. Every video is a blessing. I prayed a long time ago that God opens my eyes to understand the ancient prophets in a better way. Thank you so much for your work :)

"All because God uses corrupt and evil people/organizations doesnt mean he endorses what they do." You have to sit and think on that for a moment. Thats a very weighty statement if you think about it. It sheds a light of understanding on alot of things going on.

Listen I'm not political at all but I'm sort of on the "right" just because alot of left things go against the word such as abortion...however I don't get worried about Trump because I interpret him as a scourge, a divinely appointed fiigure that is either used as a way to punish the nation. It's that or I interpret him as the shaman from the book of numbers who desired to punish the Israelites but couldn't when he tried to invoke the name of God. In other words I trust God despite Trump not being the best leader and the left....well becoming what it has become. I don't say that to anger those on either side, but even though it's bleak now I trust God.
Raymond Jones you do know the Torah does not condemn abortion... and does not consider a fetus to have life. I’m pro choice (but would never have an abortion myself) and left thinking... but I am a God fearing woman and believe God put Trump there for reason as he is the one who chooses the leaders.

Wow. I read this while I was inside prison. It spoke volume then and being free just over a couple months. God has be letting me see things in His magnificent way. I am blessed to see that He will use the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. You turn to God while still available my people.
Yes, but the defining ideal of America is a microcosm of humanity's interaction with God - _freedom_. We are free to create a Babylon; we are free to ignore God. It's up to each individual to live as God would have us to. God gives us each free will; there is no goodness in taking away free will for the sake of virtue.
Like all nations, America has made it's mistakes, and no nation will be perfect until the day when Christ comes back and established the eternal kingdom of heaven. We are on a dangerous path, but America is far from the first country I think of when I think of the worst countries in today's world.
It’s crazy because I’ve never been religious, but always have believed in God i don’t believe in religion but in a connection with God and have always said that the Bible has been modified and sometimes taken out of context and used by some people to justify their actions and today something told me to open the Bible which is something I have never done before and go to this exact chapter I read it and really didn’t understand alot of it. I watched the video and everything because clear that this is exactly what we are going trough in these times and we what we should do is have faith in God that he will come and help and save us like he’s done so many times before and how we shouldn’t worry. Really puts my mind at ease
Habakkuk was humble enough to take his complaint to God who is the only one who could help him in his case. I recently went through a trial of sort where injustice tried to overwhelmed me. It tried to cause and unhealthy craving for Justice in my heart. I really desired for my cause and case to be settled in my favor since I was done wrong. But as I sought after God I realized that I definitely was not innocent... Now I am trusting God instead of asking for help from the world. God is truly a God of Justice, He will bring it about in His ways and in His timing. It is our job to trust in Him and stay out of the God way.💡💯

Excellent! I needed this message. The world 🌎 and its corrupt government can weigh heavily on the believer.. Thank you 🙏🏿 God for reminding us that you will take care of all the wickedness and evil that we suffer through now. We can rejoice in trusting you to one day put an end to it all.. and take us home to be with you forever! Amen
It's amazing to hear such modern themes in these minor prophet books but since they are often ignored these crucial messages are lost on audiences today.
About 2 weeks ago I had a dream that God told me to read Habakkuk and I kept looking around to see who it was. Never saw a face or body, just that sweet gentle but yet firm voice coming out of the air. So I then knew it was God and I said, "OK I will read it" but I knew in my heart I did not felt like reading it. So he told me again to read it but this time it was an order. So I said, "yes God I will read it as soon as I get home". Woke up and eventually read Habakkuk and I kept asking God what was he trying to tell me. Well until Wednesday afternoon I felt like a light bulb turned on in my brain and I then knew why I was to read Habakkuk. He was answering one of my life-long prayer! God is mysteriously awesome! Jesus is LORD repent now and invite Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior!

Our God is an awesome God ❣️ Without you God I never knew such peace, thank you for the challenges need to grow in my faith thank you for forgiving me for being a slow learner. You lovingly but firmly brought me to where I am today, through all the tears Kicking and Screaming you still held me tight and brought me to this place today I thank you Father with all of my being. And I love you more than anything I've ever known.
Sounds like a very useful book. I see many in modern times asking these exact same questions. One big difference, few modern men listen to God's answer.

This is probably the best answer to “if God is so good, why is there so much evil in the world” that I have ever heard! We certainly aren’t God’s puppets... He allows us to act according to what we want to do, but also experience the consequences according to the laws of [human] nature. It really is because of His love that we have any chance to be changed by just asking Him to help us be who He wants us to be.

I grew up in church and most of the bible was taught to me in such a watered down sense. As I walk with God and study on my own I'm in AWE and falling in love with the depth behind these stories. The bible project is working hard to help me understand and grow a deeper understanding and appreciation for God and the history he has with his people and the promises for the future. ❤️
In my observation most churches are more like cults. Like hippie/motivational doctrines that are NOT what Jesus is. Nobody ever wants to actually KNOW God and his likes and dislikes and his wrath . It’s all as you said watered down to ‘ Jesus loves you ! ‘ and that’s about it. As if God was a cow to milk ‘ prosperity ‘ out of but never actually wanting to know HIM as an actual person with thoughts and feelings as GOD DOES have. Not to mention the Satanic pagan holidays that most churches encourage.
Just woke up, couldn’t sleep, 4 am, see notification from Bible app on my phone , notice book I’ve never heard before called habbakkuk, read it cuz it’s short. In utter awe of the parallels it has to revelations 18 and the current state of the United States.

What a great passage from the Bible! I read it before thinking of when the time will come when God will present himself to humanity so everyone pays attention and I really think now we are entering into that Exodus phase because more and more people are seeking answers but are not able to find them in man-made things or ideals. Only through His Word and our faith can we find these answers and perhaps guide others around us into faith as well

I think tradition holds Habakkuk as a member of the tribe of the Levites because the last part of his book is a song, a praise song, and Levites supplied the musicians for the temple of Solomon. Music is a very powerful art form. You can use it and deliver it with a good intention and as to repel evil.

During all the current situations in the world, especially covid-19, Habakkuk is a great bible book to be reading. Remembering that this world is broken. But God will defeat evil, bring justice to all and rescue the oppressed. What a glorious truth.

Wow. My first understanding of Habakkuk and I remember that nothing is new under the sun. The description of Babylon is some of our world today - 2019. Thank you for the reminder, live by faith, look to God, be joyful in terrible times, serve God who loves the world and his children more than we understand.
Less than 2 pages, but so incredibly rich in its wide ranging remit. Literally sums up the world, our struggle, divine providence and the gateway to eternal life through submission to the Sovereignty and Love of God. So much inspiration and comfort to me personally in these trying times, with what my job at hand is.

I met a guy in Florida a few years ago and he when we were talking, he mentioned the book of HABAKKUK. I looked it up shortly after, I didn't get it I saw this video about 2 years ago, I didn't get it THIS video just showed up in my feed. I got the message 😳 I got it LOUD and CLEAR. Hallelujah 🙌🏾
i woke up 3AM, and my mind told me to read the book of Habbakkuk, i never read that book in my entire life.. i dont have idea,, but when i read that, God was telling me to be patient in waiting. To trust Him not my own understanding. Until now i am still waiting for my prayers. I believe in my Heart that God wants me to wait for His perfect time and it will not be delayed. ❤
Love how the book (Habakkuk) points to the importance of taking care of the environment and god's creatures/animals (or more specifically, God's concern for). Our heavenly father cares for his creation :) and as such, I now know that being for the "environment" is not just some liberal nonsense". Thank you lord for the revelation.
At mass this evening upon hearing this reading, my husband and I felt as you do. It was so obvious to us that we are faced with this evil in our country today.

Thank you for this video. All of your videos are excellent summaries. In December 2020 I was fretting about what is happening in this nation. We ARE being overtaken by sinister, wicked people. At first I was literally sick and lay in bed for 3 days. I felt like Jeremiah when God told him what was going to happen in the future (chapte 8). Then I became angry, ready to take up arms and fight. The Lord lead me to Habakkuk and showed me that YES, He does use wicked nations to punish other nations. NO, there is nothing happening outside of His will and purpose (Isaiah 46:11, Proverbs 21:30) HE "is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.’ (Daniel 4:17) And WE must trust Him. The Just Shall Live by Faith! The message to me was there is no left/right, liberal/conservative, Democrat/Republican. There are ONLY two sides: For God and Against God! As Christians we are to rise above this false, worldly paradigm and be more concerned about GOD'S Kingdom and the saving of souls, then we are about making this world a better place to go to hell from. This was the final message I received: "The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the HEIGHTS." Habakkuk 3:19
Thank for your video, I am from D.R.C where were leaders are corupt and citizens are suffering in consequences. The other day I asked I was questioning God. Somehow the holly spirit lead to listen to pastor Joseph prince and the message was based on this book, and today this video was recommended to me, and feel this God answer to me. I just praye that God will strengthen my faith to trust him about my country and people.🙏🏽

So Habakkuk is like me, when I start to worry and fear, and I ask God why this is happening, at the end, I’m left feeling peace and comfort knowing that God will deal with everything in the right time

As a citizen of Myanmar (Burma), I literally feel depressed and even doubt in God because of the ongoing situations of crime against humanity and brutal masscres commited by illegitimate military junta. More than 1,000 people are reportedly murdered. Right now, I'm like "God, are you real? Are you there? Where are you?. It has been nearly 8 months that we lost hope, our future; some even lost their lives or their loved ones. Why is God still watching?" But I found this video (I haven't even subscribed this channel before.) This gives me courage, hope and faith that God is with us and HE will definitely help us. We are all strangers and pilgrims here on earth, just passing through. The biggest question for everyone born to this world is what JESUS CHRIST asked Peter, viz., "Who do you say that I AM?" For all of us who have been called by the Holy Spirit and answered, "YOU are THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD!", then the best is yet to come. I, personally, have recently found much comfort about the death in reading Isaiah 57:1 and 2.
Good people pass away, But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that GOD is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die."
And, in Phillipians 1:23 - 24, the apostle Paul wrote under the inspiration of GOD, "I'm torn between two desires: I long to go and be with CHRIST, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live." (NLT, New Living Translation)
So we keep praying for all those who have not yet accepted GOD's gift of salvation through and in JESUS CHRIST, and keep spreading the gospel. Let His light shine through the darkness of this world as we walk with JESUS.

I am sorry for your troubles, ask Jesus to bring peace in your life and heart, pray, ask him. He will answer you, have Faith that he will not let this go on, he sees and knows what is happening. Stephanie B so many people beside themselves and overwhelmed by events that just seem to get crazier and crazier. It is comforting to know God has ‘got this’. But for me, it’s because of the madness in the world, from all the dramatic events right down to the increasing self centredness evident in just about everyone around us, that is deepening my faith and awareness. And there it all is, right there in the Bible ....and has been there for thousands of years, just waiting for the seeker to open their eyes (me) and see the truth .
The Holy Spirit put it upon my heart to read Habakkuk after the assassination attempt. I had honestly never even noticed this book in the Bible. I was watching the news and flipped open my Bible to the first page of Habakkuk, and throughout the day was pointed back to it in weird ways. It’s so comforting knowing our Lord is sovereign and watching over His children. I am full of gratitude for our perfect loving Father

Listen I'm not political at all but I'm sort of on the "right" just because alot of left things go against the word such as abortion...however I don't get worried about Trump because I interpret him as a scourge, a divinely appointed fiigure that is either used as a way to punish the nation. It's that or I interpret him as the shaman from the book of numbers who desired to punish the Israelites but couldn't when he tried to invoke the name of God. It's up to each individual to live as God would have us to. God gives us each free will; there is no goodness in taking away free will for the sake of virtue.
Like all nations, America has made it's mistakes, and no nation will be perfect until the day when Christ comes back and established the eternal kingdom of heaven. We are on a dangerous path, but America is far from the first country I think of when I think of the worst countries in today's world.

It’s crazy because I’ve never been religious, but always have believed in God i don’t believe in religion but in a connection with God and have always said that the Bible has been modified and sometimes taken out of context and used by some people to justify their actions and today something told me to open the Bible which is something I have never done before and go to this exact chapter I read it and really didn’t understand alot of it. I watched the video and everything because clear that this is exactly what we are going trough in these times and we what we should do is have faith in God that he will come and help and save us like he’s done so many times before and how we shouldn’t worry. Habakkuk was humble enough to take his complaint to God who is the only one who could help him in his case. I recently went through a trial of sort where injustice tried to overwhelmed me. It tried to cause and unhealthy craving for Justice in my heart. I really desired for my cause and case to be settled in my favor since I was done wrong. But as I sought after God I realized that I definitely was not innocent... Now I am trusting God instead of asking for help from the world. God is truly a God of Justice, He will bring it about in His ways and in His timing. It is our job to trust in Him and stay out of the God way.💡💯

About 2 weeks ago I had a dream that God told me to read Habakkuk and I kept looking around to see who it was. Never saw a face or body, just that sweet gentle but yet firm voice coming out of the air. So I then knew it was God and I said, "OK I will read it" but I knew in my heart I did not felt like reading it. So he told me again to read it but this time it was an order. So I said, "yes God I will read it as soon as I get home". Woke up and eventually read Habakkuk and I kept asking God what was he trying to tell me. Well until Wednesday afternoon I felt like a light bulb turned on in my brain and I then knew why I was to read Habakkuk. He was answering one of my life-long prayer! God is mysteriously awesome! Jesus is LORD repent now and invite Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior!

This is probably the best answer to “if God is so good, why is there so much evil in the world” that I have ever heard!
We certainly aren’t God’s puppets... He allows us to act according to what we want to do, but also experience the consequences according to the laws of [human] nature.
It really is because of His love that we have any chance to be changed by just asking Him to help us be who He wants us to be.

I grew up in church and most of the bible was taught to me in such a watered down sense. As I walk with God and study on my own I'm in AWE and falling in love with the depth behind these stories. The bible project is working hard to help me understand and grow a deeper understanding and appreciation for God and the history he has with his people and the promises for the future. ❤️
In my observation most churches are more like cults. Like hippie/motivational doctrines that are NOT what Jesus is. Nobody ever wants to actually KNOW God and his likes and dislikes and his wrath . It’s all as you said watered down to ‘ Jesus loves you ! ‘ and that’s about it. As if God was a cow to milk ‘ prosperity ‘ out of but never actually wanting to know HIM as an actual person with thoughts and feelings as GOD DOES have. Not to mention the Satanic pagan holidays that most churches encourage.
Just woke up, couldn’t sleep, 4 am, see notification from Bible app on my phone , notice book I’ve never heard before called habbakkuk, read it cuz it’s short. In utter awe of the parallels it has to revelations 18 and the current state of the United States.

I think tradition holds Habakkuk as a member of the tribe of the Levites because the last part of his book is a song, a praise song, and Levites supplied the musicians for the temple of Solomon. During all the current situations in the world, especially covid-19, Habakkuk is a great bible book to be reading. Remembering that this world is broken. But God will defeat evil, bring justice to all and rescue the oppressed. What a glorious truth.

i woke up 3AM, and my mind told me to read the book of Habbakkuk, i never read that book in my entire life.. i dont have idea,, but when i read that, God was telling me to be patient in waiting. To trust Him not my own understanding. Until now i am still waiting for my prayers. I believe in my Heart that God wants me to wait for His perfect time and it will not be delayed. ❤
Was reminded by this chapter through a Bible app. Thank God for the timely reminder in the midst of COVID-19 virus around the world.
Love how the book (Habakkuk) points to the importance of taking care of the environment and god's creatures/animals (or more specifically, God's concern for). Our heavenly father cares for his creation :) and as such, I now know that being for the "environment" is not just some liberal nonsense". Thank you lord for the revelation.
Be careful not to idolize the environment. God made us the dominant species for a reason. He made us to subdue the earth.

At mass this evening upon hearing this reading, my husband and I felt as you do. It was so obvious to us that we are faced with this evil in our country today.
I sort of feel like Habbakuk sometimes, praying for God to save us from the evil and corruption I see in this world, but I know every corrupt nation eventually faces justice!

In December 2020 I was fretting about what is happening in this nation. We ARE being overtaken by sinister, wicked people.
At first I was literally sick and lay in bed for 3 days. I felt like Jeremiah when God told him what was going to happen in the future (chapte 8).
Then I became angry, ready to take up arms and fight.
The Lord lead me to Habakkuk and showed me that YES, He does use wicked nations to punish other nations.
NO, there is nothing happening outside of His will and purpose (Isaiah 46:11, Proverbs 21:30)
HE "is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.’ (Daniel 4:17)
And WE must trust Him. The Just Shall Live by Faith!
The message to me was there is no left/right, liberal/conservative, Democrat/Republican. There are ONLY two sides:
For God and Against God!
As Christians we are to rise above this false, worldly paradigm and be more concerned about GOD'S Kingdom and the saving of souls, then we are about making this world a better place to go to hell from.
This was the final message I received:

Thank for your video, I am from D.R.C where were leaders are corupt and citizens are suffering in consequences. The other day I asked I was questioning God. Somehow the holly spirit lead to listen to pastor Joseph prince and the message was based on this book, and today this video was recommended to me, and feel this God answer to me.

So Habakkuk is like me, when I start to worry and fear, and I ask God why this is happening, at the end, I’m left feeling peace and comfort knowing that God will deal with everything in the right time

I seem to get more out of the word when it is adapted into real life experiences on today's level. How you come up with such descriptive, attention grabbing methods of telling each story is amazing. My own individual adaptations and understanding pale in comparison. I learn by hearing as well as visualization. Such a joy to see someone come up with teaching methods of makings a book of the bible come alive. Keep them coming.
