North Carolina needs to change their state slogan to “First in stupidity” lol
The continental USA has the same political map as it had 100 years ago, but a widely different population density and make-up. The size of congress was set in the 1920’s, for a population of approximately 100 million people. It now has 350 million people for the same number of representatives - this is a problem. People are being less represented and finding their political voice being drown out. Congress needs to address this, or will be forced to .

The one main problem I have with most of these states (other than, say, the names of some of them (I mean, come on, Liberty? Jefferson? Lincoln? You can do better than that)) is the godawful straight, man-made borders. Straight, man-made borders are so much of a hassle than natural ones. Not only do they look ugly, but it can cause major problems like water rights.
Why can't people just draw their borders for their proposed states much more logically? It's so annoying.
It should be "Gigaho" instead of "Giga Idaho".

You forgot to add Tennessee separating from North Carolina as another new state formed from a current state in 1789
A lot of new states make sense even though it’s highly unlikely for any of them occur… unless we get rid of the 2 party political system, which needs to occur even more so than newly drawn state lines.

Political gaming of the electoral voting system?
To be honest with you, I think it's a great idea. Having been born and raised in Washington state and seeing the destruction that the democratic party has fostered with it's insane ideology. Normalizing drug use and addiction and the decriminalization of crimes and defunding of the police. It's sad and disgusting to see the dystopian waste land so many of our cities have become. I'm not a far right winger or even a republican. I've had my share of troubles. Convicted of a felony in my early 20s and drug addicted most of my adult life. Been clean a little over 2 years now. If I was in better health, I'd have moved from this area already. I can completely understand why half the states here want to disembark from them and join Idaho.
I understand you frustration but in comparison take Wisconsin. We have a state that is overwhelmingly gerrymandered for state that is 50/50 on party lines, but 75% of our legislator is controlled by rural republicans. Should southern Wisconsin have the right to break away from the rest of the state? should the progressive's of Iowa be allowed to split off? or how about Mississippi, or Alabama, and Georgia? The whole idea of division only creates more chaos and division.

no you cannot split a state, its unconsttutional and will never happen, it hasnt in the 200+yrs of the usa as a country. there is a reason why we dont hire youre type to be employed in our govt. i live in "baja" only the midnight crossers think this is a possibility, they can try, theres too many ppl down here here will force them back to their side.
