Freediving Australia's Secret Sinkholes!

- I'm in Mt Gambier for a few weeks to dive all the incredible sinkholes in the area. I'm also here to run Deep Weekend in Kilsby Sinkhole! This is by far the best place to dive in Australia. Crystal clear waters, stunning light and scenery. There are very few places in the world that are like it.
I'll be freediving several different sinkholes in South Australia over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled!
To learn to freedive in Kilsby Sinkhole check out www.freedivingfamily.com
Did you know that you can learn to freedive online? Head on over to www.freedivingmanual.com to check it out!
What a special place! Imagine living on a farm and having your own freediving heaven too?!
I know right! Lucky buggers haha
How good is that Thumbnail! Makes me want to jump head first into the computer screen
You should come down when i'm there next. It's otherworldly
I'm completely laughing at 5:00 AM in the morning reading this comment 😂
Zip or 10 percent
Makes me scared
So true!!!!🤩🤩🤩
Adam is like the kind of guy that always have jokes but it is his laugh that makes you laugh.
Everytime he laughs, I laugh too. He sounds like he's having some hysterics, so contagious
Yeah every time he started laughing, I busted up laughing myself.
Lol
Ksi:*laughs*
Me : want go there
My megalophobia : nope
My thalasophobia : over my dead body
My walet : maybe another life
Lol
I feel like Thalassophobia is a completely justified phobia to have. Nothing scares me more.
@@avarmauk thalassophobia made me scared of my own pool and its deppressing
I watch these videos to get rid of my thalasophobia
I cant go in water deeper than 4 meter its just soo scary
@@avarmauk A fear of the open ocean is completely reasonable, unease while on boats with no land in site would be normal for most.
The phobia would be when thinking about it in your pool or on the couch and causing anxiety.
Im fine in the surf or in my dam while I'm there, it's after that makes me feel a lil anxious. It's actually really frustrating.
stunning! Totally on my bucket list!
You'd love this place Daan. Dozens of sinkholes in the area
Before clicking on the video, I literally thought the thumbnail shot was taken by Daan :D
@@Hfgh564 i wish - what a great shot!
@@Hfgh564 same here
yooo
Congratulations on your new family member. Wishing you all much love and happiness in the years to come!
I am so glad I found your videos this year. I have never once felt love like this for Australia. Free driving, is 100% on my bucket list, lessons first of course.
Oh man the chaps comment at the end had me laughing super loud. Always a pleasure feeling like I'm accompanying you on your adventures, thanks for that.
My absolute pleasure! haha I did crack up when I first put on the pants hahaha
Omg that thumbnail is REAL! I thought it was digital art!😵 soooo beautiful

That turtle is adorable!

Awesome video mate and what a beautiful place for a dive 🙌🤙
I live in the Mount and I have been to Ewan’s and Piccanninie ponds quite a few times when I was younger. Your video just inspired me to buy another wet suit and get back into it again.

What an absolutely gorgeous place!!
3:45 for me as European whole Australia feels prehistorical.
You may have buildings that predate all then entirety of white Australian history. But living Here i wave always felt the age of the land.
Beautiful , what a magical place ❤️ it’s all in the feeling brother 🙏🏻
Nice place organized. Thank you for sharing.
Omg you guys are making some very crazy dive🤯👌I wish I could have dive like you sware your sick💯👌

I went to Ewan's pond and Picadilly pond years and it was absolutely amazing
Its nice to be able to swim like that, may God continue to bless and protect all of you!!!!!! Have fun enjoy!!!!!!!
Im a freediver in Bohol Philippines, and I really want to try diving in sinkholes.. hoping I could go there soon when I visit Australia. Had so much fun on this video 💕
The Kilsby Sinkhole looks nothing short of spectacular. I feel so happy for you guys to be able to experience such things. Due to a heart condition, I am unable to do as much I used to do
however, watching you guys I can, at least, live vicariously through your videos from here in Christchurch, Aotearoa/NZ. So, my dear Adam, I may not be well but if I ever see you losing
your _Lust for Life_ then, I will come over to the land of vegemite and kick your butts. Though, I doubt that will ever be necessary. Just putting you on blast.
Best wishes to you and yours, and hope you're coping with the dreaded morning sickness, Ms Freediver. I've been there. *HAPPY 2021*
Ah I wish I could sort your heart out for you and bring you along for the adventure! Thank you so so much and I'd happily welcome my ass kicked if I ever lose my passion for what I do :)
Great video. I will be there on the 16th and 17th with my son and Eck to do the course. Can’t wait.
Ah man you're going to have the best time!
What a beautiful spot to dive, I love the “shard” of light, it creates some wonderful effects for the photos. It would have been good to hear about it’s significance to the First Australian peoples who lived in the area before colonisation by pastoralists. It’s hard not to imagine that it was a very significant place for the people living here before settlement.
definitely! I don't actually know the significance but next time I go i'll find out
Simply awesome
Nice one brother Adam and Eve and family 👪 love your work from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you! We've been having fun!
This would be an Amazing experience 😍
it's so magical!
magical is the word! :)
Beautiful
Hi Adam, you should visit Maldives to dive and see our underwater beauty as well 😊
Towel looks good, water looks warmer than the 8 degree water we are diving in today lol! Have a wicked new year Adam
Oh wow! 8 degrees sounds rough! Oh and it's the coolest Towel :P
@@AdamFreediver wasn't that bad and the vis wasn't bad either! Not much to sea and keeping a breath hold with 1 degree air temp was hard ha!
OMG every time i see your videos i want to go and start free diving and go to good depths. It's to bud we don't have a free diving instructor here on Syros Island in Greece. It's ok of course to go for scuba diving but your videos Inspire me to go for free diving. Thank you again for the great videos.
Ah I wish there was a freediving instructor close by. I know there are many in Kalamata though :)
Yes that would be nice but we don't have. Unfortunately Kalamata is far away so ill just wait until the next speak fishing contest and then some instructors will come. We have a world spear fishing contest here some times. Maybe some day we will see you also (cros fingers) here on Syros Island
The water is stunning.
incredible pics..
Planning a trip there at the end of Feb, so excited 🙃
Ah mate you're going to love it!
Hi Adam, great vids man, tks! If you go to Cuba some time, you may want to visit a cave in Varadero which name is Saturno that has some similarities to the place on this vid... I believe the max depth was around 27M , and as you go deeper, the water is warmer... very beautiful and you can freedive it without problems. The only "issue" is the tourists, usually it's full of them but the deep part is most of time free as nobody goes there.
Keep it up! ;)
Great music to go with the video
Gotta love those Shards!
You are lord of them my friend
love your video adam, peaceful place like always. but sometimes i feel cannot breathing when see you doing free diving into deep.🥶 because i cannot do that. enjoy your life 🙂🙂
Well my friend it sounds like you need to learn to freedive asap :)
Hi. Such an amazing sub-place, thanks a lot for this video. Is there any way to access to the beautiful shots you took and showed in the video?
Cheers!
This looks so fun, I love being underwater. I just have no idea how to stay down that long!
I can't waiitt onnee dayyy HAHAHAHHA aight back to moduless
Omg so beautiful
Lovely video and Sinkhole.
Chainsaw tip: there are courses on how to safely use and maintain these. (Looks like your chain needs tensioning!)
Yeah i've started watching those :) UA-cam is great for it haha
Wow so beautiful
Love it what a beautiful I wish I can do it someday ❤️
My brother caught himself in the thigh last month when he wasn't wearing his chainsaw trousers! Glad to see you've picked up a pair, your legs are precious dude!
Ah shit. they're so deadly! I wear my chainsaw pants always now haha
I didn’t know you were back down here until it was too late! I remember a few years ago I met you at ewens pond and I can’t wait to one day (hopefully) better my free diving with you!
Ah no way Sophie! I'll be back in February! Will you be around?
Amazing👍👍👍
I LIKE THIS FREDEVING....
I must learn Freediving when I lived in Melbourne ... its stunning place .
Amazing
after seeing this i want to be a mermaid.
I used to live in the mount aha there is so many good sink holes there like the little blue as well
Little blue isn’t as good as what use to be, a lot rubbish water is dirty
The shard of light is an absolute photographer's dream.
People owning sinkholes though is something I haven't heard of before.
Beautiful place.
Isn't it just :)
The algorithm will be recommending this to everyone in 4 years
hahaha because the world will have run out of water by then haha
Well it's in my recommendations, and I don't know why. Maybe it's the turtle. How did it get there?
Ha almost, 4 months :D
Oh my gosh very very cool
My guy deserves more subscibers
Thanks buddy! They will come slowly slowly :)
Such a magical place 🤩🤩🤩
Magical is definitely the word :)
Just one correction haha... "Kilsby sink hole is located near the 'City' of Mt Gambier" .... but great video, theres many sinkholes located in that area of Australia. The water clarity at Kisby though is amazing. Thankyou for visiting the region 💜
fantastic
GREAT! I live near Mount Gambier, just an hour away!
I never went to Australia, thanks a lot for this video I wish to go there... the only water holes I tried in my country are much much colder.
Crazy beautiful place.
it's out of this world
The visibility is insane!!!!!!!!!! Im in NZ but i will be there one day
OMG CAN WE TALK ABOUT YOUR GREYHOUND??? 😍 You should feature the longboi in more of your videos 🐺💖
We definitely will :) He's just hard to take on dives haha
@@AdamFreediver tell me about it! I’ve got a rescued greyhound too and they’re sort of indoor cats, definitely too awkward for boats! But any chance to edit him in will definitely be appreciated!
Very very nice.
Wow, looks great, I would love to learn freediving properly. Below about 10 metres I find it hard to equalise the pressure, and I'm not sure how to get around that.
so lucky to have that to dive in.. Ice is covering my lakes now☹️. Congrats on pregnancy. Seems the lockdown has been the source of many new humans coming😄😄😄
hahahahah yeah there are many Covid babies around hahaha
Crazy for this to show up in my recommended as I can see this from my house
The water is absolutely amazing, such clarity. Perhaps due to it being artesian water?
Becareful always Adam 💕
Thanks John :) I will
