I started on my sons nursery at around 20 Weeks because I felt the same way as you do. I'm now 35 weeks and I don't want to do anything besides sleep and eat, so I'm glad I got everything out of the way early. Now I just have to wait on him to make his appearance.

So me and my hubby bought what we wanted our baby to have... with no judgement!!! Trust me it works out better that way. Let them buy books or things they personally want him to have.

Tiffany Raye my sister and her husband didn't have to buy anything for their child for a really long time. They didn't have to buy diapers for over a year. She didn't registered or ask for anything specific. They got strollers, car seats and play pins at her baby shower. They also got lots of expensive clothes as well. Ppl didn't buy it because they needed it, bc they are both college educated with good jobs. So I guess it depends on who your family and friends are on if ppl are willing to buy those things for you. I guess that's why it's so shocking for me to see that she bought so much stuff and is not that far a long.
London Naughte that's awesome that it worked out that way for your sister! I'm just funny like that and I do things on my own. I didn't have a house warming party either, that required people buying things for our home. We built, furnished, decorated and then invited everyone over to party. So most people bought items to stock our bar, which was really nice. It just goes to show it's several ways to do everything.
Tiffany Raye I'm due in August and we are buying the large/expensive items a bit at a time. I don't feel comfortable relying on others to get me a crib or a car seat when both my husband and I are fully able to purchase those ourselves. I'd rather grandparents open a savings account or something and guests can get other items from the registry. I can't expect others to spend money on what we really need. Idk what's acceptable so we are just doing what feels right

I need to try to do that more with my fiancé. Yes those last 6/7 weeks will fly by. I loved how it looked in the room. Then I had another baby he got a toddler bed and the round crib was in the room together. I purchased the same bed linen it was so cute.
To be honest I like the wall color in the nursery now. if you do paint I say light grey. Pintuck bedding, lol I have it too in white I love it but I will change to a darker color for winter time. Great vlog 20 weeks already oh my gosh time is really flying by 😘

My go to nursery color has been Notre Dame by Valspar. It is the perfect light blue/grey color. On a sunny day it reads pale blue and on cloudy day it reads more grey. I have 2 girls and 2 boys and all of their nurseries have been that color.

Babies are so fun....I had a boy also and really enjoyed motherhood it's so rewarding...I was only able to have one child had to have a emergency hystericamy at 25 yrs old. So that was that and then when my only child (Casey) was 22yrs. Old he passed away...Just enjoy and savor every moment and take tons of picture and videos....I went back and did a scrapbook from the day he was born till he passed away...I'm so happy for you and your husband....Exciting to see your new bundle of joy....

I don't know if y'all are still looking for a color for the baby's room, but if your're still looking for a light blue. You should check out 'Himalayan Mist', by Behr. I have it currently in my bed room and it is legit the lightest shade of blue it almost looks white when you first put it on the wall. I have white boarders and doors in my room so you can see the difference when they are side by side, but VERY calming and serene! :) :)

The room is so cute!! The evenflo handheld pump is good for quick pumping on the go, but I preferred the Medela for everyday pumping. It works very well, and that's what most hospitals use.

Try latitude. It's a very soft greyish blue. I painted my classroom that color and its so calming. It matches well with my classroom decor. I think I got it from either Home Depot or Lowes.
I love how practical you are. practical and glamorous. I stocked up on diapers too! I didn't have to buy diapers or wipes until my son moved to pull ups. Also, if you contact the diaper company and let them know you're expecting and planning to use their products, they will send you LOTS of freebies!
definitely stock up on more wipes, I cant stress that enough. I'm not sure if you did a baby shower yet? But, you can do a wipe raffle, for every wipe brought they can insert their name for a prize.

Nitraa, I currently have that same breast pump. It's a good pump. My only thing is that the Medela is a more common pump and easier to find replacement parts in the store. Although it is a good pump, if I could do it again I would get the Medela (and the one that is hands free).
Congrats to you both. One recommendation, new clothes, new bedding, etc. (baby, children & adults) should be washed before wearing. Manufacturers place chemicals on clothes and beddings to keep them stiff for store display.
I love how well organized and prepared you're baby nursery is... I wish more woman thought like that instead of just waiting on the baby shower , to me it shows that you are ready to be a parents and not just waiting on hand outs... That closet is also better organized than mine I'm kinda jealous lol ...

I gave birth a few months ago. Unfortunately she came early and spent her short life in the NICU. Throughout that time I found the Medela breast pump system worked best! Prayers for you and your bundle of joy!
even flo pump isn't strong enough to pull enough milk out, I used that pump first and my supply dropped an then the lactation lady I called told me to touch base with use the Medela pump and bam we were back in business.
The evenflo pump doesn't have great suction . If your getting one thru your insurance I'd suggest the Spectra S1. It has great suction & has a rechargeable battery . I exclusively pump & ive been using mines 5 times a day for 4 months so far & haven't had any problems w/ it , that should let you know it's a great pump :)
Girl I did everything for my son early ; and I, happy I did cause I had him 3 weeks early at 10 pounds 8 oz 21 inch long lol this time around with this second pregnancy I'm starting early again. I've learned not to wait till the last minute AT ALL lol. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ everything looks beautiful !!!!!
I bought an evenflo pump but I ended up giving it to my sister and she really liked it. I heard the medela pumps are great too. Those are the ones they use in the hospitals where I'm from and my other sister swears by them. I used a medela hand pump and it was great. I didn't need an electric one because I'm a SAHM so my son was always by my side lol but I love the baby clothes and crib!
That's a beautiful crib. Is greet that. you're getting ready so early. I just had my son two weeks ago and I was so stressed because I waited until the last month to get everything because I hadn't been feeling well most of the pregnancy. But I wish I could have been this prepared. Good job!

The evenflo didn't work well for me. I ended up having to purchase the medela double pump. Thank GOD we purchased the crib that turned into a toddler bed. Our son outgrew his crib fairly quickly.

Do you think you'll want a bag with a zipper that way you won't have to worry about it being open while your hands are full with the baby? Just a thought! The Turenne is very nice and classy, has a shoulder strap, and has a zipper. But that bag is gorgeous!!!

The evenflo didn't work well for me. I ended up having to purchase the medela double pump. Thank GOD we purchased the crib that turned into a toddler bed. Our son outgrew his crib fairly quickly.

i as well thought the color in the room is really nice it looks nice with the crib, but i understand you may be looking for a different style, i think you doing things early is a great idea, you have energy and feeling well ,later in pregnancy you just never know.

hey momma! I've never tried the evenflo pump before but I've had really good results with the medela pump in style advanced and the spectra s2. There's a ton of info on youtube and some really good groups on fb for good information! God bless yall and all the best to you and the family💙

Do you think you'll want a bag with a zipper that way you won't have to worry about it being open while your hands are full with the baby? Just a thought! The Turenne is very nice and classy, has a shoulder strap, and has a zipper. But that bag is gorgeous!!!
Can't go wrong with Medela pump! They usually use that brand in hospital.
