Purely my opinion here: One of the things I found most impressive and telling about that video is that he did not spend his time blaming. He said at the end that he's "a changed man." In the bus he was a weasel. A weasel tries to weasel into and out of things by pointing fingers and blaming everyone else but themselves. He accepted responsibility like an adult. And if you think that what he was saying was an excuse, just imagine something really bad you did when you were younger, dealing with it, healing yourself, but then having to try to explain it publicly. One of the things I found most impressive and telling about that video is that he did not spend his time blaming. He said at the end that he's "a changed man." In the bus he was a weasel. A weasel tries to weasel into and out of things by pointing fingers and blaming everyone else but themselves. He accepted responsibility like an adult. And if you think that what he was saying was an excuse, just imagine something really bad you did when you were younger, dealing with it, healing yourself, but then having to try to explain it publicly. What would you say differently to change people's minds?! Here's a rule I learned a long time ago: People are going to believe what they want to believe. And it's obvious from what Billy said near the end of the video that he's now learned that as well. I'd say that he isn't a childish, selfish person and that he HAS truly learned things. But that's just my opinion anyway.
