      kevin just wants to make money at any cost, sometimes that means he knows a good business when he sees it. Here he had help: while he initially joined in on the mockery, the moment he saw Lori was serious about it he changed his tune real quick.
      Lori (and Mark to an extent) have niche knowledge of what makes products successful in their spheres.

    This guy is smart. He strategically asked to drop the percentage down to 20% while keeping it at the 200k, which is basically double what he came for while keeping the valuation he came in with. Definitely better than the golden ticket lol

    Apart from the amazing marketing and the deal with Lori, the best part about this product is that it actually works. Scrub Daddies have essentially replaced normal sponges in my home

      it's honestly crazy to think how good this product actually is. I've only used scrub daddy for the past 2 years. It wasn't one of those gimmick products, in my experience, this thing actually does exactly what it was advertised to do.

      I think the fact that it's a product the general public can use regularly, also helped it become so successful. Yes it does cost more than a regular sponge, but at like $5, it's not outrageously expensive that the average person can't afford it.

    I tried using it after seeing in Shark Tank. My husband was laughing at me for buying it cuz it is much pricier than others. But after we used it for 6 months, it still was in good condition and didn’t look disgusting like other sponges. Now he is also loving it and we bought more. Genius product. Totally understand why this is so successful product.

      Yup! I swore it couldn’t be much different from other sponges for years. Never saw the episode. After watching it, hubby n I loved the wholesome energy of the guy so much we were like let’s just buy ONE. Now we call ourselves a strictly scrub daddy family😂 won’t use any other sponge

    I love how, at 5:00 , they're all laughing at Aaron, except for Lori. Really shows how confident she was and how seriously she was taking it. To be honest, she was the only one that knew what she was dealing with.

    This is a product you can proudly get behind. He literally had people from Germany making them at first. Saw the problems that was creating, and moved his manufacturing to the US creating more job opportunities. That's what we need to do. Become a made in the USA country once again and create work opportunities for our nation.

      Yes but he didn’t get exactly why he asked for because 10 percent of a 700 million dollar company is 70 mil and 20 percent is 140 mil so he got 100k for 70mil. I don’t think that was his first offer

    I still remember to this day watching this episode when it first aired with my mom. Mom understands kitchen products and said immediately this product is going to blow up! I laughed about it but now I truly understand the phrase “mom’s always right” now.

    I use one of their other products called the Scour Daddy. Best sponge I’ve ever used. The best part is it doesn’t start to stink like all the other sponges I’ve used. Also him telling Kevin “you’re out” was hilarious.

    Having worked 3 retail jobs in different stores, i can say I have seen the scrub daddy in all of them consistently. The first time I actually saw one, I remember enjoying the feel of the material and being charmed by the simple but effective design. I genuinely believe that Scrub Daddy is a quality product and im glad to see the origin story unfold.

    No one’s talking about how after all that bidding, he ended up with the exact same valuation he had at the start 😮 He wanted 100k for 10%, Lori gave him 200k for 20%.
    Also love the moment at 5:02 when all the sharks were laughing and Lori has her head down crunching numbers. 🧐

      It’s better to get more equity for the same valuation if you think the business is going to do well but if you think your taking a risk then I guess it’s better to get less equity

    I only buy scrubdaddy! I love the ScrubMommy 🤭 and the wand! I started watching shark tank senior year 2013, my economics teacher would play videos at the end of the school year, I Want To Draw a Cat For You and ScrubDaddy got me hooked, this episode is soooo good. I love how at first he seemed surprised at the offers but then grew confidence when he countered. Lori’s face @ 1:01 she had an epiphany; she found her hero. Aaron seems like a good man. Happy this great product has brought them both so much success. 😊

    You can tell who doesn't wash their own dishes. Sponges are not a joke. Scrub Daddy also solves the hygiene problem I have in my household where my husband tries to use a sponge for too damn long
