- Hello guys, here is another interesting and yet first time #reptilesculpture I made in #polymerclay.
Known as Samar Cobra, (Naja samarensis) also called Peter’s cobra, Southern Philippine cobra and Visayan cobra. It belongs to the venomous spitting cobra, and this one is native in Visayas and Mindanao Island Group of Philippines. This #samarcobra lives in mountainous jungle and tropical planes, the can also live close to human settlements due to the reason of their feed on rodents that lives in residents rice fields, and even frogs and small reptiles are in its Menu.
It can grow up to 1.4 meters in length and it has a pair of occipital scales on its head and 17-25 scale rows on its hood, 17-19 ahead the mid-body, 161-184 ventral and 41-52 subcaudals. It belongs to the Genus Naja. Coloring varies from black and yellow to green. Their venom is deadly neurotoxin (altering the structure or function of the nervous system) with cytotoxin (cell damaging or cell death properties) as well.
I made my own method in sculpting this cobra, and hope that you may find all my applied techniques in this tutorial is helpful to your project as well.
