Robert is one of the people why I learnt the saxophone. He is an inspirational man.whom is humble, intelligent and gifted.
Brilliant Robert Frip.. Long life x
cant wait for sunday lunch, you make everyone happy. . 🙂👍
Thank you for another wonderful Saturday morning! You both fill my heart with warmth and sunshine! Have a magnificent weekend! See you in the morning!
“Give us this day our daily bollocks… “ 😆. Toyah, your advice to aspiring singers is worth remembering and I can’t wait to incorporate them in my next practice session. I always wear an earplug when singing to stay in pitch. Robert, your lesson and chorus setting reminds me of Andy Summers’ sound. Great AA episode! 💞
I love you both. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us.
Awesome show. Thx forever.
Count me in for Uncle Tony’s Mutual Admiration Society. Good man; masterful musician.
This has become one of the very best things on UA-cam
Hi Toyah and Robert.I'm now 65 years old and still to this day Matte Kudasai , still resonates with my soul.Thank you to you both for all the
wonderful memories :)
Highly adorable !
You guys are just bloody fantastic. Xxxxx
Delightfully instructive.
As usual a wonderful way to spend 1/4 of an hour or so.
And, yes, Tony Levin is an inspirational musician. In fact it speaks incredibly well of Robert's choices of musicians that make up the alumni of King Crimson past and present as they're all inspirational and continue to be so. The musicality found therein is just astonishing . In fact it would be a wonderful thing if all the surviving members with, of course, the current line up, got together to do an album of reimagined / re-articulated Crimson music. (pipe dreams are a wonderful thing, aren't they?).
Toyah, you just carry on being wonderfully original and inventive. You do it all with apparently consummate ease (even if it is bloody hard work and totally exhausting). You're a complete joy. xx.
Always entertaining and fun.
Loving these videos
Fantastic stuff, love you both, 🎸🎸🎸😎😎😎🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶💕💕💕💕
I like it. Robert is the "Yoda of Prog Rock".
This show ALWAYS puts a SMILE on my face :)
Aww the lovely Robert singing
Love it x
Thank you Toyah and Robert for taking the time to answer my question about vocal pitch. Great advice from you both. I will pass it on :)
Hello great video Toyah and Robert
wonderful. thank you both.
aw my gawd, you are lovely and i like your style toyah..... i remember you as a kid, legend
weekly fun.. Greetings from Bavaria, Germany
Awesome lesson Robert
Ahead of the upcoming weekend I wonder how you're gonna celebrate your birthdays.
a) 2 parties, on Sunday and Tuesday,
b) 1 combined party on Monday,
c) a long party from Sunday morning till Tuesday night
or d) no party at all because being together during the lockdown is in fact already a party for you in itself.
Whatever the answer, thankful for all you efforts during this difficult year, I wish you both beautiful birthdays, irresistible lovebirds!
I have spoken with Sidney Jake and he is DEFINITELY George Clooney.
a-HA!
Hi To yah. ..my father was the MD at the City Varieties for many years. It's a beautiful theatre. My nephew Robert Corich is gathering together music my father played in the 30s to create a CD.☺
Very interesting and informative. You are both awesome. I always look forward to your broadcasts and performances. Thank you very much.
Always look for the happy English couple...my my always intriguing questions....!Robert love your guitar lessons of the lunch...dont stop you rwo....no matter what they say!!!
Your both ace
"Giant electric flailing banjo of the imagination." Once again Robert Fripp has provided you young people with a great band name.
And a brilliant little lesson, as well.
When a mans in his element...tuition and its free.🎶❤️🎶
Adorable couple🌈🌀💖💖💜💜
A free guitar lesson from Uncle Bob.
Much obliged Sir
Robert...and I mean this with great respect..You are the only person I can think of...who could buy a multi-effex box..and use straight from the Box.....
You guys are awesome! Curious about hearing - 57 here and after a lifetime of listening to music at loud volumes, I’m beginning to hear less range. With all of your performing, have you had any hearing loss?
That LTIA riff always puts a Jack Nicholson smile on my face.
When I was 12 years old I was obsessed with its a mystery but didn’t have enough pocket money to buy an e.p. So I put it under my coat and walked out the shop . Have you ever shoplifted .I still feel guilty about it .
In 1968, at the age of seven years, I got 'lost' at Ann and Hope's department store in order to lift a copy of Pink Floyd's 'See Emily Play (45)' after having my first honestly bought copy confiscated by my grandmother who had moved in with my family after my father passed away.
Reading your comment brought back a flood of emotions but guilt is not a part of them. Okay, perhaps a wee bit.
Please stay true to you 🙏🤙
Toyah, your presence and war cry inspire us all. There's an army of us now. We refuse to go away.
Reject invisibility. Be loud. Be proud.
I have no idea what Robert is talking about but he makes lovely sounds with his guitar 🎸🤩
Great chords!!!😃
Goes to show, fame is only important to the famous. The rest of us have ordinary and often heroic lives to lead, fame would only be an encumbrance and is best avoided. One's artistic achievements are self evident, the artist who is not so ego driven, simply creates, he knows that fame is brief, incidental and illusory, it has little to do with real merit as the most meritous artistic endeavour is often ignored. Those of us who have been listening to Robert for the last 50 years actually pass over the famous in order to find the obscure and the real genius. So dont feel bad because you arent a household name Toyah, it doesn't mean you arent talented, more likely it indicates that you are.
I love Sailor’s Tale too - and I’m a woman!
Can't wait for Lunch tomorrow!
Thanks for answering my question!! I’m in 100% agreement about Tony Levin, he is amazing! And yes, in 1986 I did ask Patricia if she was related to Robert and acted like he was standing there himself!
As always I've adored watching and listening to you both. I was taken back to my much younger days with Robert's demonstration of the Suspended fourth, having found it resembling the opening chord to Message in a Bottle by the Police. I know you played with Andy Summers so I'm hoping that was done intentionally as a nod to him. I look forward to Sunday to see what you have come up with for the Robert and Toyah Lockdown lunch! Until then, all the best and I have to say that purely by his mannerisms I have a sneaking suspicion that Mr. Jake is indeed one of the fantastic nameless ghouls from Ghost!
I live in Florida.. we have never been in lockdown. .. we are having concerts, I was planning on going to see Robert, but I guess King Crimson canceled. Steve Hackett canceled also. There are concerts going on here. Most are outdoors.
Рад видеть вас, хорошие наши! ♥️💝💘🤘💋
Ok I'm in subbed
Life is fun 🌹
Great series, enjoy your video's very much. Question for Mr. Fripp, Who was best Vocalist you worked with in King Crimson?
In answer to the first question - Rhinos are just chunky Unicorns.
To ask a question, on Brian Eno's birthday , please share, again, a good story, one each.🙂
Pozdrawiam z Polski . Jestem Waszym wielbicielem 😍 .
Mad AS - still love you and think that Robert is COOL. Have fun....
Robert is the Robert Fripp of progressive rock.
Unicorns were actually mentioned in the bible. A unicorn is an animal like the Rhinoceros but with only one horn rather than 2. I don't think there are any left alive they lived in Siberia. No I am not the kind of person ramming the bible down anyone's throat.
Córdoba Argentina!!!!! Que orgullo culiauuu!!!
This is a question for Robert:
Am I right in remembering an interview where you once said you considered using an ebow to be "cheating"? Has your opinion on this changed over the years since you're now using the Fernandes Sustainer mimicking the ebow effect? I'm curious because I'm interested in building it into my own Les Paul as well. Is it difficult to control the massive string vibration outburst - a bit like Toyah's singing ;-) - of all six strings being triggered at the same time?
P.S. My wife Linda and I have been together for a very long time as well, 41 years, and I still can't live a day without her. She's still so beautiful and we're ever so in love with each other, just like you guys. Thanks for the weekly kitchen shows, always fun to watch with the family!!
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Evert
次回も楽しみにしてます!
Love Sailors Tale myself. 💜🕯️💜
Hello Toyah and Robert! From watching your videos we have learned that the song "Fracture" is the most difficult King Crimson song to play. But, which one is the easiest?
I'm off to listen to my inner rear...
while opposites clearly do attract, i personally believe it's important to have a great deal of similar life experiences to really have a rich and fulfilling relationship. how different do you two think your dynamic and relationship would be if you weren't both in the music industry? do you think that's a large foundational part of your relationship? (other than the fact that it's how you two met to begin with)
💜🤘🏿
"Sailor's Tale; "I dug it
another woman who loves Sailor's Tale 🙋
Sydney Jake Is Jurj Clooners from Bojack Horseman
I can't believe Robert didn't mention the King Crimson gig at West Runton Pavillion as his most memorable audience. He was pogoing all over the stage... ok I made that last bit up.
Rather looking forward to a Sunday Lunch with Robert playing 'Rocking All Over The World', one of his band's hits. ;-D (P.S. to RF: I'm female and my favourite guitar chord is Dsus4. I'm also rather partial to Asus4 and Gsus2.)
Love your choker Toyah✌️🧡
Looking for Sidney? - There's a clue in his Tats!
Question: When shall we see the first "Posh Pop" video? -- Looking forward breathlessly.
She looks fabulous still...
My guess for SJ is bucket head.
Richmond North Yorkshire Georgian Theatre a gem
What do you recommend to musicians with no or very few fans who want to expand to a larger audience?
How anyone could compare you to anyone else, is beyond me
Hi toyah! You remind me of broom hilda. Thanks
Question..what sort of music do you both listen to to relax..Love from a lockdown and agony aunt fan
Anthony Sludds xx
Robert, My friend and former band mate Terry Blankenship was your first chair 🪑 acoustic guitarist for the League Of Crafty Guitarists! He played Royal Albert Hall with you! He now lives in Cincinnati Ohio. P.S, he told me a funny story of you on that tour where you and everyone in the band was in a noisy restaurant and you shouted SILENCE really, really loud because you refused to eat dinner until the people there quieted down. Obviously you freaked out everyone there and they were all staring at you and everyone else in the band. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I really would like to hear your take on this!
Robert , what do you remember about guest guitaring on The Damned’s “Fun Factory” back in 1983 (recorded) 1990 (released)?
And how did it come about?
And were they naughty punk rockers?
Seriously Mr Frip, was it a constructive, creative time when you worked with Gabriel? You have just mentioned Tony Levin as I write..
hi toyah
very soon i will be going on a date with a woman.
we are both creative she paints on canvas
i make metal sculptures.

Grandaughter number two is not an early riser !
🌈🌬👑♥️👑💋🔥💋
If you could tot up all the adrenaline that both your bodies produced in the last 3 decades at concerts, how much would that be?
Hello Robert and Toya
Robert, have you ever written lyrics or attempted to write lyrics? I googled the question and only came up with "I am a cigarette burn me up" or something like that. I would like an answer straight from the horses, or in your case the unicorn's, mouth.
I always loved King Crimson but as a Hall and Oats fan I still listen to 'Sacred Songs' by Daryl Hall. (On Vinyl that I bought new..) Robert knows what I'm talking about. I'm quarantined in Denver making guitar pedals, www.amazingpedals.com I love you both! Toyah you are amazing along with Robert!

Will Robert Finally wear bodypaint on Sunday lunch?
Grohl is Jake?! So confused

also, I feel I'm most creative when I am sitting down and wearing my doo rag.....
Here's Robert Fripp's big chance to outshine his wife by playing the guitar and he fluffs his lines. 'Bollocks.' That's made my day, that has. See you for lunch....
Jimi Hendrix 🎸🎶🤘🇺🇸☮️
