Winter 1975 let’s call it January or February on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma it was announced that Earth, Wind, and Fire was coming to Loyd Noble. Lucky I had the money to go tickets was about 15 dollars? I couldn’t wait as I drove my 1964 white Ford Custom down there south of the campus. Man it was packed to the gill with black folks. Now I got out cool young boy from a small country town going to an Earth, Wind, and Fire concert. (Yes I was excited). As the concert begin the sound was incredible, the theatrics were amazing, Maurice playing the kalimba, Phillip playing congo, Larry Dunn on keyboards. And I could have sworn the drummer was above the floor, the drum set and him were circling and he not missing a beat while he playing … People were clapping and shouting. This one particular group of fans had their on tambourines and small percussion instruments playing along with the band. Well I had bought the cheapest seat but as the concert heated up I moved.. Man I got to see this up close and did. Nobody cared they were caught up in the moment. We got treated to one of the greatest concerts ever but I have to say when Parliament, George Clinton with Bootsy appearing before them, well hard to say. Let me just say I ran like hell to get a track scholarship to OU and I thoroughly enjoyed all it had to offer. For a young Country Boy it’s was Tony the Tiger ‘Greaaattt!’ I seen EWF in 2009 in OKC with my wife, they were featured with Chicago. Man does anybody even care what time it is at that one. And then one more time in Durant, Oklahoma at the Choctaw Event Center.I was 19 during the OU one then now I’m 68 and the memory is just vivid as ever. LB January 6, 2023.

It was one of the outakes of the Promise which ironically didn’t even get released with the Japanese version of the Promise but rather one of the live albums (Live in Rio) also exclusively the Japan version (where it felt extremely out of place)
Well, I can tell you both that it wasn't released in Europe either. How sad and unfortunate, really. I think this song is great. It's got this nice funky rhythm that I really dig...and the lyrics are great too.
Man this man could make me Pat my feet and just rock my head, he’sjust that soulful. Whatever you felt before it’s all gone and now you’re trap inside this song. Yeah that breakdown now don’t make me cuss. Maurice your music open our eyes to incredible new world of sound. EWF-- you have brought me so much music happiness for most of my life. You have touched my heart and soul like no other music group. It was heartbreaking when Maurice died and made me realize that you all are mortal too. Nevertheless, you all were sent from GOD. And I'm extremely happy to have grown up with your music. Love y'all dearly and forever.
