Just noticed our right clip is broken. Clear cut across the back of it. Never opened it or took out that clip before. Seeing this tells me it’s a known issue and I’m sure they are aware

you probably already guessed it but you are missing the hollow tubes that the filament goes into and the hollow tube is what those clips lock into, not supposed to be the filament

I wouldn't say I'm missing it, Bob...I purposely don't use the PTFE tubes as they pop up in the hole I created at the top of my enclosure for top loading my filament. The tubes aren't necessary (making the clips you referred to unnecessary also). The clips I was referring to was what Snapmaker calls the "buckle". This was my first video on the subject, and I found a bandaid in a later one (plus SM sent out fix kits now as well)

I got the artisan recently. I'm using both extruders right now. No issues. But when I load the filament insert it down into the heating element. There is a gap between the extruder gears section and the heating element. If the filament is not perfectly straight it will get stuck at this gap before entering the heating element. It bends and presses the clip open.

I just got my dual extruded and not only did it take 3 days to get a correct demo print of the xy calibration model, but I was also having many issues with the filament not feeding properly as well. It seems that this is a major design flaw. Originally I found that the loaded filament on right side was not feeding through properly and it seemed like it was due to temps being off. Ie: when switching back and forth it was letting the nozzle cool down too far and makes pushing filament too hard for the gears.

Cooling between switching could certainly be the issue. I don't remember what Luban has available for this, but I changed my standby temps in Cura to 180 and it seems to work okay. Totally agree that Snapmaker hasn't been helpful

I am also having the same issue with the right extruder. Have you found a solution?

Artisan using the same dual extruder, same problems. The clip helps a little, but the extruder is still slipping. standby temp on 190, still not feeding on dual prints. Maybe it's in fact an electric power? This machine is a nightmare.

@D1Spartan did you manage to resolve the right extruder issue ??? can you suggest me how to go about I am facing the same with my dual head A350T as well. Appreciate your time and help

Your wedge probably helped, but the right nozzle is just not getting and staying hot enough to extrude properly. It is a design failure. They probably had to make sacrifices in order to keep the same cable as the single head extruded and not overload the wattage to the head….or tax the power supply too highly. I am severely disappointed in this unit. And snapmaker has been zero help.

I Have the same problems with my Snapmaker Artisan would not recommend the snapmaker too many problems for the price it came 6 months late and never worked properly duel Extrusion never worked at all right head never works the left is intermittent not reliable at all not even hobbyists quality unless you enjoy fixing a broken machine with no hope of ever getting multiple prints in a row overall not worth the headache or the price

I agree with almost all of that, but I would disagree with the multiple prints in a row IF you get it dialed in (which is a headache). I had good results when I had everything dialed in, but now that I got the replacement kit I have to start over with making everything perfect again. Very much a headache
