What a revolution!
Starbase is undergoing its most significant transformation yet. As new prototypes and systems emerge, the old ones are gradually being phased out.
Today, I want to highlight the test stand system that has been integral to Starship's development from the very beginning. Its era is drawing to a close, marked by the demolition of test stand pad B.

Just a few days ago, the test stand played a crucial role in conducting the static fire test for S30. However, this test marked its final contribution to SpaceX and the Starship project. Following S30's departure from Pad B back to the Production Site, workers began the process of dismantling the system. Excavators and cranes were mobilized near the stand, signifying the beginning of its end. By the afternoon of May 12, the SQD (Ship Quick Disconnect umbilical cable) was removed from the test stand, followed by the SQD support frame. These systems are pivotal in the fuel loading process for each test attempt, further cementing the demise of Pad B. With the removal of the SQD systems, the remaining components of Pad B, such as the legs and table, are slated for elimination in the near future.

My thought: construct a catch tower for flight test 5. If you need a launch tower, do not risk it with an unproven catch operation.

For me, it seems to be dangerous to land a Starship next to an already landed booster. The exhaust of the rockets could 'warm up' the booster too much, and then both will be destroyed.
@@gottfriedheumesser1994 , why not move the booster from the catch tower to the launch tower before catching starship with the catch tower?
@@JustAThought01 That's my question too. But the YT video producers always show a starship being fought by the tower aside from a booster. Obviously, they think that one has only to stack the ship on the booster, refill both of them with fuel and payload, and launch them again within a few hours. That seems 'very optimistic' to me.
Old suborbital tank fram also will be demolished for the construction of a new orbital site.

I have to say, Im a bit skeptical about the timeline for all this new construction-SpaceX has big plans but sometimes they run behind schedule.

I believe that the megalithic arm s needs further support s from the rear of the stand itself. The weight on them will put excessive tension on the front of the launch pad. Allowing some of the weight to be absorbed by the rear of the launchpad allows for an easier an more accurate landing. Besides it just means less can go wrong.

It doesn't make sense to build the regular sized tower they should build the tallest version so they'll be ready for both Versions 2 & 3 on tower 2. Are they now going to launch S-26 or are they just useing it for testing.
