- The book of Jude is a brief letter written by one of Jesus’ half brothers to urge the early church to keep the faith and to warn them about false teachers. But before broaching those subjects, Jude begins by establishing several truths that are vital for God’s people everywhere to understand. Alistair Begg introduces a study in Jude by looking at these opening verses, which remind us that as believers, we are called, beloved, and kept by God and recipients of His unending mercy, peace, and love.

I will send a famine, not a famine of food or water but a famine from hearing the words of the Lord. we are seeing this prophecy being brought around, so stay strong in the Lord and remember to keep your oil lamps ready for when we are called to light them and set to go with the light of the truth in out hearts and a journey ahead to our glorious everlasting life. As i listen and watch the videos of Allistair Begg's videos, i can tell more and more how Allistair loves God and the Lord Jesus Christ. You can see it in his eyes and face. Allistair is not fake, he is truly in love with God.
He does not love God. Because he does not keep the commandments. And he instructs to not keep the commandments.
John 14:15 “If you love me, obey my commandments.
John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.
John 14:24 Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me. And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me.
But instead many people who are actually hypocrites say the deception to many from many which Jesus warned about. Depend and rely on Jesus cross and stand in one place hoping for the best. Jesus never said rely on his cross! He said take up your own cross and follow daily which means to suffer daily and you would suffer if you kept the Ten Commandments as Jesus commanded because the devil would come accusing you as he did job.
Do you know why he only spoke about jude verse 1&2 only and not any further? Because the many who depend on Jesus cross, who stand around say the following!
Jude 1:4 I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
If you want to love God then obey the Ten Commandments! If you want to follow Jesus then take up your cross and follow daily - translation - if you want to be a follower of Jesus then follow every word of God not of man found in the likes of Paul’s letters because you are not supposed to be a follower of man but of Jesus! Who is God with the Father and Holy Spirit. So obey the Ten Commandments and every teaching from Jesus and be armed with preparedness to suffer as Jesus suffered as you will suffer like Jesus suffered, you will die to this world and you will face tribulation like a fiery trial.
But if you do not obey the Ten Commandments then don’t expect salvation and don’t expect the spirit of truth to be sent down to you. As Jesus said: IF you love me THEN obey my commandments. AND THEN I’ll go to the Father and he will send the Holy Spirit down. THOSE that do NOT love me WILL NOT obey my commandments, AND THESE ARE MY FATHERS WORDS!!! So if these are the Fathers words and the Father gave the Ten Commandments then Jesus is saying what Father said. Meaning this is not from Jesus but he is relaying what Father said meaning Jesus has told you to keep the Ten Commandments and the Ten Commandments are summed up in these two things. Commandment 1-5 love God with all your heart mind and soul. Commandment 5-10 love thy neighbour as your self!
I’m not here for a debate or argument. I’m just here to tell you the truth which you are mostly kept from, deceived from and fed hypocrisy which you gobble up. Jesus never once told you to rely on his cross. He never once said believe he dies on the cross and say with your mouth for salvation. He told you to obey the Ten Commandments. Paul’s words are hard to understand and the many have twisted his word to mean something very different as they do with all other of scripture. I’m saying this but Peter said this exact same thing in 2 peter 3:15-16.
Paul is not God. Paul’s word is for encouraging purposes ONLY if you already keep the Ten Commandments otherwise Paul’s word is no good to you. If you want to follow Jesus then stop depending on mans word and following man. Start by following every word Jesus told you… EVERY WORD! Not pick and choose and some of it!! If you want to be a follower of Jesus then obey the Ten Commandments and then take up your cross ready to suffer. The Ten Commandments is nothing to do with sin for the reason Jesus wants you to keep them. He wants you to keep them to prove you love him and Father. And that will show loyalty and faithfulness. Incidentally when you keep the Ten Commandments you die to sin on the bigger scale of things. As for passed sin and any mistakes you make along the way, Jesus paid the price for those. But you are still not worthy, not one of you, of us! That’s why the Holy Spirit is needed to plead our case in the big courtroom of God, the almighty judges courtroom! But you can’t receive your lawyer, the Holy Spirit unless you obey the Ten Commandments and prove you are worthy of representation!
The Judge (God), scales, trial, test, truth are all terms of a courtroom and judgment. Why do you think you will face tribulation as a follower or the great tribulation as a hypocrite who says they are a follower but don’t follow?
Keep the Ten Commandments and keep your life. Despising them leads to your death. - proverbs 19:16

Then keep the Ten Commandments else you don’t know the truth and can’t be lead to the truth. Jesus said this not me. You are not a follower of Jesus and neither is he if you don’t obey the Ten Commandments as Jesus told you to!

How right Alistair is. And this is not a new thing. Trying to find a church these days the UK where the Word of God is shared in Spirit and Truth is becoming increasingly difficult. Wishy washy teaching today produces wishy washy Christians, if they were in fact Christians in the first place. Parkside are very blessed to have Alistair as their Pastor. He is a true man of God who loves his Saviour and Lord and this is evident by his preaching. May God bless all who hear his messages as long as his messages are Spirit led. Check everything you hear with the Word of God just like the Bereans.

@@amandaturner8928 Amanda, you are most welcome. I know what it’s like. Like you, I want, and need to fellowship with like minded Spirit filled brothers and sisters in Christ, but try finding them! They are becoming harder and harder to find. I am currently travelling 30 mile round trip to an Assemblies of God church, because the one I was going to before appears to be spiritually dead. I have spoken to the leader in the past, but to no avail, so if I want to go on with the Lord, then I need to move on. Churches compromise to day for the sake of unity. I want nothing to do with them. Jesus did not compromise and nor should we. We must ‘contend earnestly for the truth once delivered to the saints’ Jude c1 v3. Some think that you do not love if you are fussy about what you hear etc, but that exactly what the Word of God tells us to do. A little leaven leavens the whole lump! I will pray for you. The Lord knows your situation Amanda, never fear. You are extremely precious to Him. Ask Him to lead you to some likeminded Christians. I am sure you will be amazed at what He will do for you cos He loves you so much! In the 45 years that He has been my Father, He has NEVER let me down. He is faithful to His word. Keep going!

There is only One Teacher and One Father. You follow a hypocrite and many hypocrites deceive many people as Jesus warned would be the case. Stop following man and start following Jesus and don’t say you do! If you did then you would obey the Ten Commandments not make excuses not to and say Jesus fulfilled the law! NO he did not! In fact he said he said himself he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfil what the prophets prophesied about his coming as the messiah. Anyone who teachers others to keep the commandments and keeps them will be called great in heaven but anyone who teachers do not keep them and does not keep them will be called least in heaven.
If you want to follow Jesus then obey the Ten Commandments and if you love Jesus then obey the Ten Commandments. Just like Jesus said in John 14:15-24. If you want eternal life then obey the Ten Commandments. Matthew 19:17
I testify that the problem faced by those in that letter is real. Although I live in a so-called Christian place, Christianity is merely a social activity. I don't think I would have been born again if it wasn't for UA-cam and its marvelous preachers like Alistair Begg and John MacArthur.

Excuse me, where did Jude get the idea that Archangel Michael disputed with Satan over the body of Moses? What is his reference for the prophecy by Enoch? It sounds like the Jewish myths and fables Paul warned about in 1 Timothy and Titus. To me, it looks like those early fathers who disputed the book were onto something.
Lean not on your own understanding. Remember the Word is inspired..

You are getting the cart before the horse. First, to claim Alistair doesn't keep the commandments reuqires proof, please provide. Secondly, works are a result of salvation. Not a means to it. The law and the prophets hang upon two simple things: love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and loving your neighbor as yourself. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, which is itself a gift of God. What follows comes from a regenerate heart.
Can you sum that all up in a couple of sentences?
