Love you both and been following for years. I was like Jeff when I was younger. I had a tree stand accident at age 50 in 2008. I only fell 16 ft and only had low back and rib fractures. No neck injury but a couple chipped teeth. I'm 66 years old and smarter now. Hunted tonight in hard snow. You folks are welcome in my boat, blind, or camp anytime. Take care amigos.

Then they found out why and she had six kids to take care of. You sir have a very special daughter that I love to watch because she has so much talent and a beautiful country girl. Sorry to hear about your Dad's injury, I broke my neck and lower back 46 years ago, made a full recovery after wearing halo, neck and back brace for a few months, so your dad should be fine. God bless
Wishing y’all nothing but the best. My mother had similar injuries, she refused to do physical therapy due to the pain. I hope you can keep your mobility and strength. Try not to work yourself too hard, it’ll be challenging for you but it’s best to take the time to heal properly. Best wishes to your recovery!

13 or 14 years ago one of my sons had a similar fall with similar injuries. He also had to wear a plastic body cast for three months. The three months passed very slowly, but he carefully followed the doctor's orders and had someone watching him at the start to help him. Eventually his recovery was pretty complete. The most important thing is to not try to rush things. My son was about 22 maybe when it happened, and maybe young bones mend faster than older bones. But my son was also a recovering cancer patient at that time. So if a cancer patient can recover from very similar injuries, fractured spine in multiple places and a fractured pelvis in two places, then your dad can certainly heal. Most important thing, you have to make sure he takes things nice and super slow.
I was laid up with a kidney bruise in the hospital.. I agree with you! hang tight, let your body heal. Fine balance between pushing enough to help your body heal and go too far slowing progress down. Blessings!

Dang, was really sad to hear about your dad. He's absolutely right. All it takes is one time. Similar experiences myself. But not has extreme has your dad, prayers for healthy recovery.
As someone who spent months crawling on my belly after back injury with exactly the same in the kidneys I really feel for you. I ended up ripping off my brace after one month which was probably stupid but I couldn’t take any more. I don’t offer advice but just observation, I took the pain not the painkillers and I think that saved my back out of the brace, I never had surgery and 30 years later I am way better off than those I know who did. My best recovery was to get into a professional sports therapy program as soon as I could stand. I’m praying for you - God doesn’t promise a trouble free life but He does promise to help us out of it.
I’ve always enjoyed your videos and how you guys live your lives. I hope you get well quickly and we will be praying for you to recover. Speaking from experience, please listen to your doctor and rest and heal. Spine injuries are no joke. I retired due to a spine injury. The hardest thing for me was to allow others to help. I once had a KIDNEY infection, It was one pain I'll never forget, I couldn't stand up all the way because it hurt so much, and I can withstand a lot of pain, GOOD LUCK with your recovery.😮

I'm so glad Jeff has improved some. My brother in law fell from a tree once. A limb broke. He did need some surgery. The fall made an old injury worse . With prayers, we send for his fast recovery.
My brother-in-law fell through a roof he was building on and broke his neck. This after coming back from Viet Nam as Force Recon. Falls are bad stuff, haven’t had any bad ones myself so my wife won’t let me get on a ladder to clean gutters or climb trees to prune branches. Makes me feel a bit impotent at this stage in the cycle of life Hannah, hope your dad makes a quick and complete recovery, being laid up is a stinking bummer!
